The King of Glory: Inviting His Majesty into Our Lives
Have you ever paused to think about what glory really means? In our world, glory is often tied to fame, achievement, or beauty—things that we admire but that quickly fade away. Yet, there’s a greater, everlasting glory that belongs to only One. He is the King of Glory, the One whose presence fills the heavens and the earth with splendor. But who is this King of Glory? And what does it mean for us to invite His majesty into our lives?
Who is the King of Glory?
The psalmist David writes, “Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle” (Psalm 24:8). When we call God the King of Glory, we’re not just giving Him a title; we’re acknowledging His unmatched power, love, and holiness. He is not just a ruler but the Creator of all things, the One who holds the stars in place and calls us by name.
Think about that for a moment. The King of Glory isn’t distant or unreachable. He desires a relationship with each of us. He invites us to know Him, to see His strength in our weakness, and to experience His peace in our storms.
Inviting His Glory into Our Daily Lives
So, what does it look like to live in the light of His glory? It’s about recognizing His presence in our day-to-day routines—in moments both big and small. When we feel overwhelmed, we can remember that He is “strong and mighty” on our behalf. When life feels uncertain, we can trust in His wisdom and His plans for us.
Acknowledge Him in prayer, worship, and in the quiet of your heart. Ask Him to reveal His glory to you in new ways. Whether it’s a beautiful sunrise, a meaningful conversation, or a challenging day, His glory surrounds us if we take the time to see it.
Be Encouraged: His Glory is Always Near
Maybe you’re walking through a season of difficulty, and it feels like God’s glory is hidden. But remember, His majesty isn’t diminished by our circumstances. The same God who created the universe cares deeply for you and is working in ways you may not yet understand.
Today, let’s open the doors of our hearts wide and welcome the King of Glory in. Let’s ask Him to shine His light into every corner of our lives and transform us with His presence. He is the King of Glory—and He is with us, always.
