TOPIC: *HANDLING PERSECUTION*

*FIRE SCRIPTURE:* 2 Corinthians 11:22-33

*MEMORY VERSE:*
```Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.``` *-Matthew 23:24*

*The MESSAGE:*
Persecution started from Chapter 4 of the book of Genesis where Cain rose up and slew his own brother, Abel, because the Lord respected the offering of Abel. In verse 8, the Bible says, "And Cain talked with Abel his brother, and it came to pass when they were in the field, then, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him." What is persecution? Persecution is the act of harassing, oppressing or killing people because of their differences in the society. Christians are persecuted because of their belief in Jesus Christ as the Saviour does not conform to the godlessness of this sinful world.

The Bible records the persecution of God's people in both Old and New Testament. For example, the Philistines and the Amalekites constantly attacked the Jews because the Jews rejected idolatry and worship the one true God. Daniel was thrown into the lion's den because of his strong belief in God by regularly praying unto Him for the deliverance of Jews during their captivity in Babylon.

Jesus also warned his followers that they would be persecuted. "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify..." (Mathew 23:34). The Bible says we are in the world but not of the world. Therefore, if you call yourself a child of God and you have not been persecuted in one way or the other, your situation is questionable. Persecution is a must for every child of God. Jesus Christ said, "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you" (John 15:20). In times of persecution, you are to remain steadfast. Remember what Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:35, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?"

Beloved, always remember the promise of our faithful Saviour and Lord, "I will never leave you; I will never forsake you." Hold on to that promise in the face of persecution. You will prevail, in Jesus' name.

3. All persecution against my life through affliction, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Persecution through hatred against my life, collapse and die, in the name of Jesus.
5. All attacks in my life due to persecution, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Isolation operating in my life as a result of persecution, die, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, give me the grace to pass through every persecution allowed by You, in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: *PERSECUTION THROUGH ATTACKS*

*FIRE SCRIPTURE:* Acts 8:1-3

*MEMORY VERSE:*
```Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.``` *-Matthew 5:10*

*The MESSAGE:*
In our Fire Scripture for today, the church was persecuted and scattered. Stephen was killed after delivering a wonderful message. Before he died, he saw the glory of heaven and our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, gave him a standing ovation.

Jesus already told us that persecution and attacks from the enemy would continue because of our belief in Him. The devil will never be happy that we are serving God. So, persecution is obvious. But I want to assure you that in the midst of persecution and attack, the Lord is there with you. In the fire and in the storm, the Lord Jesus is giving you a standing ovation. When you are being attacked, He is there with you and He knows what you are passing through.

The gains of serving God without looking back are very enormous. He is not like man that uses fellow men and women and dump them. Have you forgotten His promise that if you serve Him, He will bless your water and your bread and remove sickess from among you? Have you also forgotten that He has gone to prepare a place for us to later be with Him and the Father? What about the crowns awaiting us in heaven, apart from all the blessings here on earth.

Beloved, we are in a crazy world. The world is crazy as a result of the activities and Mr. Devil who is out to scare us from carrying out the Godly agenda of depopulating hell for God's kingdom. So, do not be afraid; do not be moved; do not be intimidated. Be strong like Bro. Stephen and Paul the Apostle. For God is there for you and He knows what you are going through for His sake.

*BE FAITHFUL TO GOD EVEN INSIDE FIRE, IN THE LION'S DEN OR IN THE PIT. HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND YOU WILL HOLD YOUR PEACE.*

*Every organized attack against your service unto the Lord shall back fire after the order of the three Hebrew men.*

*PRAYER POINTS:*

*MORNING*
1. Power to be bold to serve God effectively, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Grace to serve God wholeheartedly, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. I refuse to deny God in the face of attacks, in the name of Jesus.

*EVENING*
4. I receive power to overcome all the enemies of God in my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers from my father's house assigned to frustrate God's works in my hand, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Men and women mocking me because I am serving the Lord, be disgraced by my testimonies, in the name of Jesus.
7. I shall not serve God on satan's conditions, in the name of Jesus.
