TO ENTER INTO GRACE IS TO ENTER INTO THE REST JESUS CHRIST BROUGHT TO MANKIND.
PART 1A.
And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him, too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with him. Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done. Don’t let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men’s thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said.
For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.
Holy Spirit divine, You are the Author of the Scriptures, and only You alone can interprete the Scriptures, help us to understand all You want to teach us today, so we continue to grow from strength to strength in Jesus name. Amen.
We understand through the scriptures that God created all that He created on the sixth day, and on the seventh day God entered into His Rest, from the time God entered into His Rest till now God is still Resting, listen to this,
Gen.2.1 - Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.
Gen.2.2 - And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
Gen.2.3 - Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Nkjv.
When Adam failed through disobedience to God command, and handed over the authority given to him over the earth to Satan, the purpose of God over the earth was altered, God revealed His plans on how to repair the damage Adam had done and to restore mankind back to His purpose, listen to this,
Gen.3.14 - So the LORD God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
Gen.3.15 - And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." Nkjv.
God said that He will put enmity Between Satan seed, and the woman Seed, God says that the woman Seed will bruise Satan's head, head in the bible means "Leader or Authority" the bible called Jesus Christ the head of the church, because Jesus Christ is the Leader of the church, God said that the Seed of the woman will bruise Satan's head, who is the Seed of the woman? When God entered into covenant with Abraham, God mentioned the Seed again, listen to this,
Gen.22.16 - and said: "By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son--
Gen.22.17 - blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
Gen.22.18 - In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." Nkjv.
Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit told us in Galatians that the Seed is Christ, listen to this,
Gal.3.15 - Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.
Gal.3.16 - Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ. Nkjv.
Prophet Isaiah also prophecy how the Seed will be born, listen to this,
Isa.7.14 - Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa.7.15 - Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST is the Seed of the woman, listen to this,
Gal.4.4 - But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
Gal.4.5 - to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Gal.4.6 - And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"
Gal.4.7 - Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST was sent by God the Father to repair the damage Adam did by bruising Satan's head, taken back the authority over the earth satan stole from Adam and to restore mankind back to God's original purpose, Jesus was sent to do the works of salvation and to finish it, listen to prophet Habakkuk,
Hab.1.5 - "Look among the nations and watch-- Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. Nkjv.
Apostle Paul echoed the prophecy of Habakkuk in Acts 13/40-41, listen to this,
Acts.13.40 - Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you:
Acts.13.41 - "Behold, you despisers, Marvel and perish! For I work a work in your days, A work which you will by no means believe, Though one were to declare it to you."' Nkjv.
Rom.9.27 - Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved.
Rom.9.28 - For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, Because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth."
Nkjv.
Just like God finished His works of creations in sixth day and on the seventh day God entered into His Rest, likewise Jesus Christ will finish His work of salvation and brought mankind into rest in Christ, listen to Jesus Himself,
John.4.32 - But He said to them, "I have food to eat of which you do not know."
John.4.33 - Therefore the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?"
John.4.34 - Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Nkjv.
John.17.4 - I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
John.17.5 - And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST finished the work of salvation, no any other work to do as far as salvation or repair of Adam’s damage is concerned, when the Jews ask Jesus the work they will do, listen to Jesus answer to them,
John.6.28 - Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"
John.6.29 - Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST finished the works and declare that it is finished, listen to this,
John.19.28 - After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"
John.19.29 - Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
John.19.30 - So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST finished the works so mankind can enter into His finished works and rest, the bible says that Jesus Christ is now sitting down at the right hand of the Father, listen to this,
Mark.16.19 - So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. Nkjv.
Col.3.1 - If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Col.3.2 - Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col.3.3 - For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST sat down at the right hand of the Father and we sitting there with Him, listen to this,
Heb.10.12 - But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, Nkjv.
Heb.12.2 - looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Nkjv.
1Pet.3.21 - There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
1Pet.3.22 - who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
Nkjv.
JESUS CHRIST sat down because no more work to do, we are also sitting with Him because we don't have any more work to do, only to believe and trust in the work that Jesus has done, listen to this,
Eph.2.5 - even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Eph.2.6 - and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Nkjv.
The place we are sitting with Christ Jesus now is a place of rest, gospel of grace of God is the gospel of rest in Christ Jesus finished works, the bible says that there remains rest for the people of God, listen to this,
Heb.4.1 - Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
Heb.4.2 - For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
Heb.4.3 - For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, "They shall not enter My rest,"' although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Heb.4.4 - For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";
Heb.4.5 - and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."
Heb.4.6 - Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,
Heb.4.7 - again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts."
Heb.4.8 - For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb.4.9 - There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
Heb.4.10 - For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Heb.4.11 - Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. Nkjv.
The same gospel of grace of God that was preached to us was preached to the children of Israel, but they did not believe in, then God decided that since the children of Israel rejected it, they will not enter into His Rest, now God has once again offered His children grace, which is the same rest He offered the children of Israel, and yet so many Christians today have rejected it, yet they rather chose to still continue to struggle with keeping Mosaic law, still trying to please God by their good works, still struggling with self righteousness and holiness by works, the bible says that if righteousness is by works Jesus Christ died in vain, works are Old covenant way of approaching God,
Rom.11.5 - Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Rom.11.6 - And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. nkjv.
Old testament way of relating with God are through the law of Moses, law of Moses are law of works, its law of dos and donts, they have to do something before God can respond to them, if they do something wrongly, God will respond wrongly to them, if they do something good God will respond to them with good, the blessings of God to them are based on their obedience to the law, if they obey the law God will bless them, if they brake any law God will punish them by withholding His blessings from them, Moses and the Old testament people relate to God through the law, New covenant people relate with God through grace of Christ Jesus, Christ is the mediator of the New covenant which is based on better promises, new creations people are new covenant people, they are under the priesthood of Jesus Christ, Old covenant people are under Levitical priesthood, listen to this,
Hebrews 7/11-12.
11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come—one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12 For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. NIV.
There is a change of priesthood from Levitical priesthood to Jesus Christ priesthood of the order of Melchizedek, and there is also change of the law, the law of Moses reveals the wrath of God, but the law of Christ Jesus reveals the love of God, Jesus Christ gave His followers the new commandment of God, listen to this,
John.13.34 - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
John.13.35 - By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Nkjv.
Enter into grace of Christ Jesus and rest, Jesus Christ has solved your problem of sin, may God help all my readers to understand this truth of the gospel of His grace, so you can serve God acceptably with reverence.
Heb.12.28 - Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Nkjv.
May God reward you for your patience in Jesus name. Amen. Shallom.
