Alaafin is a supreme king in Yorubaland and it has been known for many years. Ooni pretended to have had a good romance with the late Alaafin as if he wanted Peace. Moving around here and there. But while did he conferred Basorun Agaakin on Alexandra of Ile-Ife moreso, we all knew that those two chieftains belong to Oyo Mesi? He went ahead to confer Okanlomo of Yourubaland on Engr Dotun Sanusi of Ibadan, Oyo territory before they later said it was Okanlomo Oodua when the issue caused the problem.
Imagine the Chanter of Ooni shouting "Ooni de, Olori Oba gbogbo Ile Yoruba de" in Oyo on the day of the coronation of Alaafin, thanks to one among them who quickly cautioned that man called Ijala man. The People of Ile - Ife have been taking many steps that can annoy Oyo People between the interval of when Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III died and the Coronation of the new Alaafin, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I.
Oyo People fully aware of this cannot keep watching them, or allowing all these to go unchecked.
All what they perceived as a Pride or Arrogance about the Alaafin is not. Politics apart, calling it a dead empire or whatever, Alaafin is known for his Supremacy and Authority in Yorubaland with many facts. Ile- Ife People are saying that Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III gave false history, he did that, he did this, where were they or their fathers and elite when Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi was alive? Why can't they publicly challenge him? Why is the argument so hot when it is the new Alaafin? You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. If anybody says any Oba is not in a Supremacy battle with one another, we are not sincere. I just pity the future of Yorubaland. We are gradually destroying ourselves. #
