Are you a child? Do you feel ashamed of standing alone? Do you want to be associated with Jesus and be okay with it?
It is possible for you as a child to live for Jesus. Jesus is there to help you. Just let us go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness of our sins and He will surely forgive us. Then, with His help, we decide to stop that wrong.
It is okay to stand alone for what is right. You don't have to wait for people to see or praise you that what you have done is right. You just do the right that Jesus wants from you and God, the Father, Jesus and his angels with heaven witnesses will praise you for doing right. It is okay to be mocked by friends because you want to obey Jesus always.
It is a lovely thing to be associated with Jesus and enjoy it. There are things that can come from people you love and can make you unhappy, but don't stop associating with Jesus. That thing they did that hurt you may be a help to you after some minutes, and it will surely be when you think of Jesus.
Children, the Lord is making you a better person; to be like Jesus in heart, mind, and attitude. The Lord is helping you. Always run to Him and stay with Him.
See you in year 2023.
Happy New Year!
When I was in secondary school, a classmate of mine told me something that really shocked me. We were having a conversation about eternity and sin and how eternity in hell is a much dreaded experience and he said he doesn’t think those that go to hell will be there forever because God is not that wicked. He believed that after a number of years God would deliver them and give them another chance and as a result, even if one lived in sin, there’s still hope.
One reason people are comfortable committing sin is that they constantly give excuse for their action. One common excuse is “everyone is doing it”. Yours may be “if I don’t do it, they’ll laugh at me” or “it’s so hard not to do it, abeg I’m not Jesus or no be me kill Jesus” or “the economy is hard, man must do what he has to do to survive”.
These excuses have made us comfortable in sin and that’s the devil’s tactic which we must be aware of. Your excuse may even sound legit but God’s standard of righteousness is unwavering. He hates sin and there is no excuse for sin.
I encourage you to spend time to reflect on that wrong thing you’ve gotten comfortable doing for whatever reason and ask God to have mercy on you. Ask Him for the grace to stand even if it means standing alone. Ask Him to fill your heart with His love and the fear of the Lord.
Remember, even if the world is doing it, as a child of God, you aren’t permitted to. “Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must turn away from iniquity.” 2 Tim 2:19.
God bless
