Job 14:7 says, "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease."

The only reason there is hope for a tree when it's cut down and still sprout again to produce leaves and probably fruits (in some cases of fruit trees) is solely because of its root connection to the source. The source that supplies the nutrients it needs to survive. In other words, the only way a man can stand again on his feet after a fall in life, particularly, spiritually is staying connected to his source,... the source of life which is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ says, "I am the bread of life." (John 6:35) He is the source of spiritual sustenance and eternal life.

A life of peace and rest of mind can only be found in Jesus Christ. He is the true God who can give you life. The life that is free from captivity and enslavery. You may be attacked but you will not be overcome. Come to Him to get the life that no one else can give you.

Shalom.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood...

Peace isn’t found in the news or your social media feed.

God already gave us the roadmap:
“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.” — Isaiah 26:3

Set your mind on the beautiful things of God today.
Think on His goodness. Talk to Him. Thank Him.

Peace doesn’t come from what’s happening around you; it flows from Who’s within you.

Topic: Comfort and peace

Comfort is the state of physical ease and freedom from pain. Freedom from physical pains, sickness, affliction, etc., is what we called comfort. Peace, on the other hand, is the state of harmony in the absence of hostility, violence and war. Peace is the absence of storm and troubles.

The only source of comfort and peace is God. And these can be obtained through Jesus Christ, our Lord (Romans 5:1, John 14:27). It is only the presence of God that can calm the storm, troubles and relentlessness. The following bible verses prove that even when in the storm, in much troubles, facing threats from the opposition and appearance of the enemy, the presence of God is greater to render them ineffective (Psalms 23:4, Isaiah 43:2, Mark 4:36-39). Ever since David was anointed as the king, the devil had been after his life to ensure he did not become what God had projected for his life. He was moving from our trouble to another which inspired some of his Psalms.

Psalm 3: Written when he was fleeing his son Absalom.
Psalm 57: Written while he was hiding from Saul in a cave.
Psalm 59: Written when Saul sent men to watch David's house and kill him.
Psalm 60: Written after David's victory over the Edomites.
Psalm 63: Written while he was in the desert of Judah, fleeing from his enemies.
Psalm 142: Written when he felt trapped and alone, pleading with God for refuge.
Psalms 52, 54, 56: These psalms were written during periods of persecution by Saul and the Philistines.

In all of these, he wrote Psalms 23 acknowledging God's magnificence and opulence to lead, guide, protect, provide, and to care for His own. And God's assurance of His faithfulness.

The prerequisites to receiving comfort and peace is to be in God's presence. To be in God's presence is to be recognised by Him. And being recognised by God is to be born again and have a cordial relationship with God. More so, Have faith in God to comfort you and give you peace, even when you're passing through the turbulent moments of life. May God Almighty deliver you from every turbulent moment you find yourself. The One who calmed the storm on the sea will calm the storm in your life. Amen.

This is another chance for you to give your life to Jesus Christ. If you're still struggling with sin. Call on Jesus Christ now to save and deliver you from the power of sin. Say this prayer;

Lord Jesus, I call unto You this moment because You are the only one who can save me. I surrender my life to You, save my soul, save me from perishing. Help me to follow Your lead henceforth and to live my life to please You alone. Amen.

Congratulations to you for saying that prayer. Stay blessed.

Shalom!

Good morning, God's people!

It's been a while here and I am so glad to be back. We would continue with this great assignment commissioned into our hands.

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Galatians 6:9.

It is a timely reminder that weariness often does not come out of the blue but it is something that we grow into. Weariness starts as a seed that, if cultivated, will grow into the desire to give up. We are encouraged not to get tired or give up on doing what is right in the face of adversity, opposition, rejection, and pressure. Irrespective of how the world treats us, beginning from our immediate environment, our service to God should be done through our commitment, dedication, determination, obedience, faithfulness and zealousness. There certainly is a great reward for us if we do not become weary.

Keep up with the good work of faith. May God bless y'all. Amen.

Shalom!

It is needless to keep asking for forgiveness of the sin you won't stop committing. The sin you're not putting in effort to stop.

We cannot live in sin and ask the grace of God to abound. (Romans 6:1)

There is unforgivable sin.

An unforgivable sin is an unrepentant sin.

The sin you commit deliberately and without making an effort to change. Whatever sin you're committing, and you refuse to repent yet.

How does the thief on the cross fit into your theology? He had no baptism, no communion, no confirmation, no speaking in tongues, no mission trip, no volunteering, no financial gifts, no church clothes.

He couldn't even bend his knees to pray. He didn't say the sinner's prayer and among other things, he was a criminal and he was worthy of death. Jesus didn't take way his pain, heal his body, or smite his scoffers.
He was a thief who walked into paradise the same hour as Jesus simply by believing.
He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who He said He was.
No spin from brilliant theologians. No ego or arrogance. No shiny lights, skinny jeans, or crafty words. No haze machine, donuts, or coffee in the lobby.

Just a naked dying man on a cross unable to even told his hands to pray. Now the question for you is this: Do YOU believe that Jesus is who he says he is? That he can save you from your sins, that he can forgive you and take you with him to Heaven someday? The thief on the cross believed in Jesus and even though he was a criminal worthy of death, Jesus saved him forever.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
- John 3:16
If you believe in Jesus Christ, then don’t scroll past this post without saying so. Amen!
