I once had a situation like this, where God revealed (repeatedly), the fact that someone meant me and had actively tried to cause me harm.
With this information, I felt justified to hold a grudge, I mean, God Himself is the one that is warning me to be careful.
God soon started speaking to me about my behavior and attitude towards this person
I could not understand it.
God, are you not The One Who warned me about this person, I am simply having a natural reaction to what You revealed.
I soon came to realize that I was walking and acting in error.
The Word of God already has a prescription for how to treat people you perceive to be or are really your "enemy"
Matthew 5 vs. 44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies
Bless them that curse you.
Do good to them that hate you.
Pray for those that spitefully use you and persecute you.
What does God mean by Love?
1 Corinthians 13
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love does not envy
Love does not boast
Love is not proud
Love does not dishonor others
Love is not self-seeking
Love is not easily angered
Love keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth.
Love always protects
Love always Trusts
Love always hopes
Love always perseveres.
