*WELCOME TO CHURCH*
*HAPPY THIRD SUNDAY*
*SERMON BY: REVEREND CHRIS*
*THEME: COMMITMENT — THE GREAT KEY TO CHRIST AND LEADERSHIP*

*INTRODUCTION*
*The greatest key to becoming a great leader in the Kingdom of God is commitment.*
*Not talent.*
*Not position.*
*Not title.*
*But commitment.*
*Today, the greatest challenge in the church is not a lack of people—*
*It is a lack of committed workers.*
*People have time for:*
*Business*
*Personal life*
*Daily activities*
*But little or no time for God.*
*📖 Matthew 6:21 — “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”*

*1. COMMITMENT IS THE FOUNDATION*
*📖 Luke 9:23 — “Deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”*
*Commitment means:*
*Denying yourself*
*Surrendering your will*
*Following Christ daily*
*It is not words—it is a lifestyle.*

*2. GOD NEEDS COMMITTED PEOPLE*
*God is not just looking for workers—*
*He is looking for committed workers.*

*Commitment involves:*
*Your time*
*Your strength*
*Your heart*

*3. NO USELESS MEMBER IN THE BODY*
*📖 Romans 12:4–5 — We are many members, but one body.*
*Not everyone has the same role—*
*But everyone is important.*
*Say it:*
*I am useful!*
*I am important!*
*Ask yourself:*
*What is my role?*
*What am I doing for God?*
*If I am absent, will there be a gap?*

*4. DISCOVER YOUR OFFICE*
*📖 Romans 12:6–8*
*Different gifts:*
*Prophecy*
*Teaching*
*Service*
*Giving*
*Leadership*
*Mercy*
*You cannot do everything—*
*But you must do something.*
*Find your place and function there.*

*5. THREE TYPES OF WORKERS*
*Uncommitted Worker*
*Full of excuses*
*No consistency*
*Partial Worker*
*Active sometimes*
*Inconsistent*
*Fully Committed Worker*
*Faithful*
*Reliable*
*Dedicated*
*God is calling you to the highest level.*

*6. COMMITMENT REQUIRES ACTION*
*📖 James 2:17 — Faith without works is dead.*
*The early church:*
*Moved from house to house*
*Preached everywhere*
*Took action*
*Christianity is not talk—*
*It is an action.*

*7. HANDS AND HEART*
*God wants:*
*Your hands (service)*
*Your heart (passion)*
*📖 Colossians 3:23 — Do it heartily unto the Lord.*

*8. TOTAL COMMITMENT (SPIRIT, SOUL, BODY)*
*True commitment involves:*
*Spirit → Connection with God*
*Soul → Mind and decisions*
*Body → Physical service*
*You cannot serve God halfway.*
*📖 James 1:8 — A double-minded man is unstable.*

*9. PAUL — A MODEL OF COMMITMENT*

*Multiplies*
*Raises others*
*Builds the Kingdom*

*11. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY*
*Are you ready to go?*
*Are you ready to go?*
*If you are ready:*
*Take responsibility.*
*Stop:*
*Blaming others*
*Waiting for people*
*Giving excuses*
*If anything must change—*
*You must take responsibility.*

*12. DON’T WAIT — MAKE IT HAPPEN*
*Don’t wait for:*
*Peopley*
*Opportunities*
*Perfect conditions*
*Make it happen.*
*📖 Deuteronomy 30:19 — Choose life.*

*13. YOU ARE A MINISTER*
*You are not just a church member—*

*You will stop making excuses.*
*If you commit to integrity,*
*Your life will produce results.*

*WELCOME TO THE 3RD SUNDAY SERVICE WITH THE CHURCH*

*Sermon by: Pastor Donald*
*Text: Exodus 14:13–14; Matthew 27:12–14; Proverbs 17:28; James 3:5–6*

*THE POWER OF SILENCE*
*(Silence is a Weapon – Full Message)*

What I have learned is this: From the place of silence, strength is formed. Silence is power. Silence is a weapon. To remain quiet in the face of strong confrontation is not weakness—it is strength under control. To be silent in the face of opposition requires discipline and spiritual maturity.

The Bible says: “Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord… The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13–14)

There are moments in life when God is saying: “Be still. Don’t react. Let me fight for you.” It is not every time you speak. It is not every time you shout. It is not every time you storm out or escalate matters. Sometimes, the greatest power is in restraint.

*Silence is a Weapon (Part 2)*

If you want to preserve yourself, understand this: One of the signs that people are against you is that they try to provoke you to speak. They push you. They accuse you. They pull at you emotionally—just to get a reaction. But wisdom says: ignore them. Not because you are weak— but because you are in control.

You don’t need to prove yourself to everyone. You don’t need to explain yourself at every turn. Sometimes people are not looking for truth— they are looking for a reaction. They want you to speak so they can know your direction. They want you to talk so they can measure your position. That is why your silence frustrates them.

Silence does not mean you are empty. Silence does not mean you don’t have a plan. Silence means you have chosen a higher response.

Look at Jesus: “And when He was accused… He answered nothing.” (Matthew 27:12–14)

Not every accusation deserves an answer.

*Silence is a Weapon (Part 3)*

I know it is not easy. You may feel like: “I cannot just stand and watch people attack me…” “I cannot just keep quiet while they speak against me…” Yes—it is not easy. But it is powerful.

When they insult you, when they provoke you, when they attack you— they are expecting a response. They want you to react. They want you to lose control. But remember this: Your response can destroy what God is building.

If you speak in anger, you may say words you cannot take back— words that can damage relationships, destroy opportunities, and delay your destiny.

The Bible warns us: “The tongue is a fire…” (James 3:6) “How great a matter a little fire kindles!” (James 3:5)

A small word can start a big problem. So when anger rises, when pain is real, when the attack is strong— be silent. Not because you are weak, but because you are wise.

Sometimes speaking is not victory— control is victory. When you respond to every insult, you enter battles that don’t profit you. But when you keep quiet, you confuse your enemies. They don’t know your next move. They don’t know your position. Silence denies them access—and gives God room to act.

*Silence is a Weapon (Part 4)*

Many times, when people accuse you, when they misunderstand you, when they spread stories about you— your natural reaction is to explain yourself. You want to prove you are right. You want to defend your name.

But listen carefully: Not every accusation requires explanation. Sometimes people have already made up their minds. No explanation will change them. So why waste your energy?

Silence is not ignorance— it is discernment. People are waiting for you to talk so they can twist your words. Some people provoke you just to get a reaction. Some people gossip about you hoping you will come out and fight.

But wisdom says: Leave them. Let them talk. Let them assume. Let them conclude. Your results will speak for you.

If they say you will not succeed—succeed. If they say you are nothing—become something. If they criticise you—let your results reply. Because results are louder than arguments.

Even in relationships: When someone walks away, don’t chase with anger. Maintain your dignity. Sometimes silence heals you faster than words.

*Final Charge*

- Learn this discipline: Control your tongue
- Walk away from unnecessary arguments
- Refuse to speak in anger
- Choose peace over reaction
- Let God defend you

If you fight every battle, you will become weary. But when God fights for you, victory is certain.

The Bible says: “Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace.” (Proverbs 17:28)

So understand this:
- Silence is not weakness.
- Silence is wisdom.
- Silence is a strategy.
- Silence is power.
- Silence is a weapon. 😊

GOD BLESS YOU.

*Sub TOPIC: WHEN MONEY IS INVOLVED*
Text: 1 Timothy 6:9

1 Timothy 6:9 says, "But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction."

- The "enemy within" could be things like greed or discontentment when money or resources are involved.
- "If you underestimate the power of money, you'll bite your finger at the end of the day"
- When money is involved, you'll be surprised the turnout of your relatives, friends, and partners.

- Money is pride, proud and arrogant;
- Money is posing and can't kill

- the only man you can't control is the man with money
- most of the conflicts you have in your homeland or arguments with elders nor chiefmen are tight or caused because of money is involved
- don't invest in any business you have no idea on.
- Jer 17:5-9:
5 "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
6 He will be like a bush in the desert, which cannot see the good that comes. It will dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.
7 "Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water, that sends out its roots by the stream and does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?"
- Obey your intuition when God speaks to you so you will able to hear the voices of God.

*Key Verses:*
- 1 Timothy 6:9 - "But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction."
