CUTTING THROUGH THE CLUTTER
Firstly, we need to understand the keyword so as help us get the direction which the teaching is heading to; “CLUTTER”.
Clutter, according to merrian webster dictionary, means to fill or cover with scattered or disordered things that impede movement or reduce effectiveness.
I will like to state that STAGNANCY or RIGIDITY is not part of God’s creation when it comes to living things. Every living thing that God created is expected to grow as God created in them ability to grow.
Gen 2 gave a picture of God’s delight in seeing the work of His grow after he had created them in chapter 1. He created man, placed him in the garden he created and afterwards made tree to grow out of the ground because there is a man available to manage His work, not for anything, but for further pruning and tendering.
When we think of our goals (both short and long term), it’s easy to get caught up and forget about our mindset at the inception. Sometimes, it might be due to internal force or external force. When we dig deeper, we often find the barriers to growth aren’t a lack of time, knowledge or resources, but our own attitudes. When I say attitude, what I mean is “How we approach challenges, deal with failure, and react to change.”
Challenges, Competitions, Envies and other things you can imagine are part of life and they are inseparable. The mentality that Life itself is CLUTTERED need to first sink into us before we can begin to cut through it
I want to touch you where you do not like to be touched. Yes you, I mean you gan gan
Why did you drop that project that is almost at the peak of its success????
Why did that beautiful idea die just like that in you???
Stop looking back na. You know I am talking to you right, yes you.
Or do you feel you are not too good to compete your idea with others out there?
The strategies of others has killed your moral and the zeal you had when you first got the idea right???
LISTEN TO THIS!!!!!
🔊🔊🔊🔔🔔🔔🔔
Life is a field of competition where only those who are resilient win. It has been like that from the beginning, it is now and ever will it continue to be.
I am asking again
WHY DID YOU BACK OUT???
Gen 1:2 says
“And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
After God created the Heavens and the Earth, everything was CLUTTERED, it was not making sense at all. God would have not done anything, he would have dump it and do something else like you have done to your goals and ideas.
Somebody needs to hear this;
If you want to stop what you are seeing, then you need to change what you are saying. What you say is directly proportional to what you are seeing.
Bishop Oyedepo said something very powerful which I held since I heard it. He said and I quote,
“If it is too big for your mouth, then it is too big for your hand”.
You need to understand that positive growth can’t be achieved without the right frame of mind.
Tips for cutting through the clutter of life
1. Turn ‘I CAN’T’ into ‘I CAN’.
This is about changing your mindset from a fixed one to a growth one. A fixed mindset sees qualities carved in stone, always striving for perfection and avoiding failure, which is often something we have been brought up with, taught to us through school and reinforced through work. You need to free your mind and make it flexible to stretch.
In physics, there is something they call ELASTICITY and there is a point also called BREAKING POINT.
Many of us are still operating in the elastic region talkless of moving to the plastic region. Stretch your mindset, it is stretchable, expand your thinking and ideas beyond what you think you can do to things beyond your reach. That is the Spirit of “I CAN”.
2. BE OPEN TO FAILURE
This is one of the major fear of many people that killed their lovely ideas. See, one of the key differences between a fixed and a growth mindset is an openness to failure.
Whether you’re starting a new business or changing your career path, the truth of the matter is, you’re going to experience failure one way or the other.
Listen, FAILURE IS PART OF SUCCESS, only and only if you did not stop TRYING AGAIN
Lastly
3. DO NOT PROCASTINATE
I was discussing an idea with a friend some years back. It was indeed a lovely idea. He loved it and told me this.
“Ideas are like raindrops, it falls on many people. Only those who receive it in a bowl will use it when needed”.
He ended by saying, “Guy, start the plans now as you will not believe that others too have received this same idea”. I took it for a joke and was still taking my time to gather resources.
Brethren in Christ, Me and this same friend were discussing and standing opposite the store I want to use, and I saw some people opening the place and bringing in things. What shocked me the most that night was that the same thing I wanted to do there was what those people are doing there till now
Conclusively
The world need your idea, don’t kill it because of the pressure of competition out there, YOURS MIGHT CARRY GRACE.
