TOPIC: Spiritual Death Was Destroyed
TEXT: 1 Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
MESSAGE
The earth is likened to the place of pilgrimage where people come and journey for a short time and go back home. There is no number of years that you live on the earth that will be equaled to the place that you will spend eternity. God never made the heaven for humanity because he created the earth as the place that man is to live forever. God planted the tree of life in the garden of Eden and if Adam had eaten the fruit from that tree, man could have lived forever meaning, there would not have been a physical death.
The fall of Adam came with both physical and spiritual death hence he was driven out of the garden of Eden to prevent him from eating the fruit from the tree of life after his fall. However, God provided a solution to the fall of Adam in order to return man back to the garden of Eden; the place of no tears, no death and the place of abundance of all things. Therefore, to destroy spiritual death and the power of it, God sent his only Son; Christ to pay for the sin of Adam. Christ completely paid for the sins of man, destroyed the power of spiritual death and restored man back to God.
The only escape route from being a victim of the sin of the first Adam and the consequence of second death; going to hell is to receive Jesus Christ into your spirit as your Lord and Saviour. Those that have received him is called the church and many will still come to him. He is surely coming back to take his bride ( his church) home and that home is called the heaven while those that did not receive him will spend eternity in the lake of fire.
Also his church must be spotless, without wrinkles and blemishes meaning as Christ’s bride, you must not be entangled with the world and the pleasure in it. Enjoy A New Beginning ( FEAR NOT!)
MEMORY VERSE: Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
PRAYER: Pray and receive grace to stand firmly in the salvation you have once received
CONFESSION: I am a child of God whose sins are forgiven and forgotten. I will reign with Christ for a thousand years in heaven. He will bring me back to the earth where I will live forever without pain, tears or death. Good morning
