Topic: It Is Not Too Difficult for You
Text: Deuteronomy 30:11–14

Key Verse: «“For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.” — Deuteronomy 30:11 (KJV)»

Devotional Message
One of the things that makes me love God is that He is not an autocratic ruler who imposes His will on His subjects without giving them a choice. God created humanity in His image and gave us the ability to reason and make decisions. Therefore, He gives us the opportunity to choose whether we will obey Him or not.

The laws and commands of God are not too difficult for us to understand or obey. Neither are they far away from us. God has made His will known through His Word. What He requires is that we respond to Him with faith and obedience.

Romans 10:9–10 teaches us that salvation comes through confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. However, genuine faith must also be demonstrated through a life of total obedience to God.

Beloved, God's laws and commands are not designed to harm us but for our good and the betterment of humanity. They lead us in the path of life, righteousness, peace, and divine blessings. Therefore, we must listen carefully, pay close attention to His Word, and willingly obey Him.

God's command is not too difficult for you. With a willing heart and the grace of God, you can obey Him.

Reflection: What is your attitude and response to God's laws and commands?

Action Plan: Make a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ today and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Then demonstrate your faith through total obedience to God's Word.

Wisdom: God's laws and commands are for the betterment of humanity.

Prayer: Lord God Almighty, help me to obey You at all times.

Prophetic Declaration: I receive sufficient grace to obey and carry out God's laws and commands.

Shalom! Good morning, and have a blessed and obedient day.

Text: Deuteronomy 30:1–20

Key Verse:«“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” — Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)»

Devotional Message
God’s principles cannot be compromised. He has set His standards for humanity so that we may live lives that please Him and enjoy the fullness of life He has provided.

Today’s text gives us a vivid insight into the instructions the Lord gave to the Israelites through Moses, His servant. God had already made clear the blessings that come through obedience and the consequences of disobedience. In verse 19, God called heaven and earth as witnesses between Himself and the people of Israel. He set before them life and death, blessings and curses, and then lovingly encouraged them: “Choose life.”

Beloved, Jesus Christ is the source of life. In John 14:6, He declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The pleasures and enjoyment of this world are temporary, but eternity is forever. Therefore, eternity should be our priority as believers.

The only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ, who is our Life. To choose Christ is to choose life—both now and forever. Therefore, choose Jesus Christ; choose life!

Reflection: Do you desire life and long life? Choose Christ Jesus.

Action Plan: Choose life and live for Christ.

Wisdom: Eternity has no expiration date, but life on earth does.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, help me to live my life with eternity in view.

Prophetic Declaration: I will live for Christ on earth, and I will reign with Him in eternity, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Shalom! Good morning, and have a blessed day!

Topic: CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Text: Matthew 4:12–17

Key Verse: “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” — Matthew 4:17 (KJV)

Devotional Message
The word repentance means a change of mind that leads to a change of life. It involves turning away from sin, evil, and a self-centred way of living and turning to God without delay.

The issue of repentance is crucial to God. He does not take sin lightly because He does not want anyone to perish. The foundation of today's text is therefore a call to repentance. We see that Jesus Christ continued the message that John the Baptist had been preaching. If you recall, John's ministry was also centred on repentance. He proclaimed, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2).

Jesus began His public ministry with the same urgent message: “Repent!” This shows us how important repentance is in our relationship with God. True repentance is not merely feeling sorry for sin; it is making a deliberate decision to change your life and turn back to God.

There is no time to procrastinate concerning your salvation because the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is closer than ever before. Many of the things He foretold in Matthew 24 are already taking place. Tomorrow is not guaranteed; therefore, do not postpone the decision that can determine your eternal destiny.

Beloved, Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, loves you, and His desire is for you to be saved. He does not want you to perish. Therefore, change your life and turn to Jesus Christ today, because tomorrow may be too late.

Reflection: Are you one of those who keep postponing your salvation?

Action Plan: Take a bold step today to reconcile with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Wisdom: It is a wise decision to turn to Jesus Christ today.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and renounce them today. Please forgive me, save my soul, and help me to live for You. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: I will not end up in hell; I will live for Christ and finish my race with Him.

Shalom! Good morning, and have a blessed day.

Text: Ecclesiastes 12:1–8

Key Verse: “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.” — Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)

Devotional Message
It is rare for people to forget the day they were born. Many celebrate their birthdays as special occasions and milestones in their lives. However, while many remember the day they came into this world, few remember that their time in this world is short and that life is temporary.

The writer of today’s text, King Solomon, had many life experiences before he was inspired to write one of the books of wisdom in the Scriptures—the book of Ecclesiastes. Having experienced wealth, pleasure, wisdom, and greatness, he came to understand the vanity and brevity of life.

In today’s text, King Solomon admonishes us that it is very crucial to remember our Creator in the days of our youth, before the difficult days come and the years draw near when we can no longer enjoy the pleasures and opportunities of life as we once did.

Beloved, it is high time to remember your Creator while you still have breath; while you have not changed your address to eternity; while you can still amend your ways, correct your errors and mistakes, and worship your Creator acceptably.

Beware of this bitter truth: there is no second chance after death. The time to seek God, repent, obey Him, and live for Him is now. Do not postpone what eternity may not give you another opportunity to do.

Reflection: Do you remember that life is short?

Action Plan: Make your relationship right with both God and humanity.

Wisdom: There is no second chance after death.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to live for You all the days of my life. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: I will not miss eternity, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Topic: Sometimes It May Not Make Sense
Text: John 2:1–10

Key Verse: “Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water.”John 2:7a (KJV)

Devotional Message
The Bible affirms that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing (1 Corinthians 1:18). Sometimes, God's ways and instructions may not make sense to human reasoning, yet His wisdom is far greater than ours.

At the wedding in Cana, Jesus was informed that the wine had finished. Although His mother knew what He was capable of doing, the instruction Jesus gave may not have made sense to human understanding. What connection was there between filling jars with water and solving the problem of exhausted wine? One might have expected Jesus to provide money for the bridegroom to purchase more wine for his guests. Instead, Jesus commanded them to fill the jars with water.

Yet, through that seemingly unusual instruction, Jesus demonstrated His divine power by turning water into wine. He proved that the earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. Nothing is impossible with Him, and He does not always solve problems according to human expectations.

Beloved, sometimes God's instructions may not make sense to us, but obedience to His will is always profitable. He is omniscient—the all-knowing God. He knows what we do not know and sees what we cannot see. Through a life of complete obedience, He can bring transformation to every situation.

Reflection: Does God's Word always have to make sense to you before you obey it?

Action Plan: Never ignore God's Word simply because it does not make sense to human reasoning.

Wisdom: The weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Prayer: Lord, always open my spiritual eyes, ears, heart, and memory to understand, receive, and obey Your Word.

Prophetic Declaration:
I will not be ignorant of God and His ways. I receive grace to obey Him even when His instructions do not make sense to me.

Shalom! Good morning, and have a blessed Sunday!

Key Verse: “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” — John 2:5 (KJV)

Devotional Message
Many people desire a successful life but are not ready to pay the price, especially when it comes to the matter of obedience.

At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, when Mary, the mother of Jesus, noticed that the wine had run out, she turned to Jesus Christ for help. Although Jesus initially responded in a way that seemed to suggest that the time had not yet come, He later performed a great miracle.

What brought about the miracle was total obedience. Mary instructed the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” The servants did not hesitate, argue, doubt, or question His instructions. They simply obeyed whatever Jesus told them to do. Their obedience positioned them to experience the miracle.

Beloved, if you desire success and victory in life, pay close attention to God's instructions. Never be merely a hearer of God's Word; be a doer of His Word. Sometimes, God's instructions may not make immediate sense, but obedience to Him will always lead us into His purpose.

Reflection: In what areas of your life are you finding it difficult to practise God's Word?

Action Plan: Do your best to be a doer of God's Word rather than merely a listener.

Wisdom: Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to be a doer of Your Word and to obey whatever You tell me to do.

Prophetic Declaration: I will obey God's instructions, and I will not be destroyed.

Text: John 2:1–10

Key Verse: “And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.” John 2:2, KJV

Devotional Message
In continuation of our devotional message from yesterday, we see at the wedding in Cana of Galilee that Jesus was invited, and His disciples accompanied Him.

The Bible makes it clear that even though Jesus Christ was present at the wedding, challenges still arose. The wine ran out, and the bridegroom was almost faced with shame and reproach. But because Jesus Christ, the All-Sufficient One, was present, the Lord turned a hopeless situation into celebration and potential shame into glory.

Beloved, this reveals the importance of having Jesus Christ not only around you but dwelling within you. If Christ is not in you, you cannot truly carry His presence into your home, marriage, business, career, ministry, and every area of your life. But when Christ is in you, His presence goes with you into all that concerns you.

Christ in you means Christ in your home. Christ in you means Christ in your marriage. Christ in you means Christ in your business, career, ministry, and every situation of life.

Therefore, do not live your life without Christ. Invite Him into your heart and allow Him to take His rightful place in every area of your life. When challenges arise, the presence of Christ can turn your lack into abundance, your sorrow into joy, and your shame into glory.

Reflection: Is Christ Jesus truly dwelling in your life?

Action Plan: Accept Christ Jesus into your life today before it is too late, and surrender every area of your life to His lordship.

Wisdom: Christ in me is the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, come into my life and reign over every area of my life.

Prophetic Declaration: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Shalom! Good morning, and have a Christ-filled and glorious day!

Text: John 2:1–11

Key Verse: «“Jesus said, ‘Is that any of our business, Mother—yours or mine? This isn’t my time. Don’t push me.’”» John 2:4 (MSG)

Devotional Message
There is an adage in the Yoruba language that says, “Ohun owo mi kò tó, má fi gógó fà á,” meaning, “What I cannot get easily, I will draw it to myself forcefully.” This describes the attitude of someone who does not want to wait for the right time but chooses to force an outcome.

That was not the attitude of Jesus Christ in today’s text. Jesus was invited to a wedding in Cana of Galilee, together with His mother and His disciples. When the wine ran out, His mother noticed the situation and knew that Jesus was capable of doing something about it. She therefore brought the matter to His attention, hoping that He would rescue the bridegroom and his family from public embarrassment.

However, Jesus understood that He had to operate according to God’s divine timing. He therefore responded to His mother, “This isn’t my time. Don’t push me” (John 2:4, MSG).

Jesus was not being disrespectful to His mother. Rather, He was demonstrating that His actions were governed by the Father's will and appointed time, not by human pressure or expectations. Although He eventually performed the miracle, He did so according to divine timing.

Beloved, no matter what your situation may look like today, do not push yourself ahead of God's timing, and do not allow people to push you into doing what is contrary to God's will for your life. There are things that may be good but are not yet God's appointed time for you.

Learn to wait. Learn to trust. Learn to remain calm when God appears silent. God's timing is always better than human pressure.

Do not allow desperation to make you force what God has not ordained. What God has prepared for you will come at the right time.

Reflection: What desire or situation is currently pushing you to do something contrary to God's will for your life?

Action Plan: Be patient, remain calm, and trust God's timing concerning the situation.

Wisdom: Waiting upon the Lord is not a waste of time.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, grant me the spirit of patience and help me to trust Your timing in every area of my life. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: I will not miss my divine opportunity by running ahead of God's timing, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Key Verse: «“And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.”» Exodus 12:36 (KJV)

Devotional Message
The Bible records in John 3:27 that “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” You will also recall that in Exodus 3:21–22, the LORD instructed His people to ask the Egyptians for articles of silver, gold, and clothing before they left the land of Egypt. He promised that He would cause them to find favour in the sight of the Egyptians.

God is a covenant-keeping and promise-fulfilling God. In today's text, the death of the firstborn of both human beings and animals was the final sign the LORD displayed through His servants Moses and Aaron. This brought about the deliverance of the Israelites from the oppressive power of Pharaoh. Before they departed from Egypt, they asked the Egyptians for what they needed, and the LORD caused them to find favour in their sight, just as He had promised.

Beloved, do not be discouraged by your present situation, even when it does not appear pleasant. God knows what He will use to bring about your deliverance. Be assured that divine favour comes from the LORD, and He can cause you to obtain favour wherever it is necessary for the fulfilment of His purpose in your life.

Reflection: Have you ever experienced God's faithfulness and favour in your life, just as the Israelites experienced it in today's passage?

Action Plan: Ask God in faith for what you desire, and rest confidently upon His promises.

Wisdom: Victory belongs to God Almighty.

Prayer: LORD, cause my life to continually enjoy Your favour throughout my lifetime, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: I am victorious, and I walk in the favour of the LORD.

📖 Text: Exodus 12:21–28

🔑 Key Verse: “For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”
Exodus 12:23, (KJV)

Devotional Message
Many signs and wonders had been displayed through Moses and Aaron in Egypt in the name of the Lord. God wanted His people to be released from the land of slavery, but Pharaoh refused to listen. He hardened his heart against God and continued to resist His command.

According to God's instruction through Moses, the Israelites were to take a lamb according to their families, kill it, and use its blood to mark the doorposts of their houses. God was ready to strike the firstborn of the Egyptians, both human beings and animals, at midnight. But when God saw the blood on the doorposts of the Israelites' houses, He passed over them, and the plague of destruction did not come upon them.

The Israelites did not take God's instruction lightly. They obeyed what Moses had commanded, and their obedience became an instrument through which they experienced God's protection.

If the blood of a lamb, appointed by God as the sign of protection during the Passover, could preserve the Israelites from the destroyer, how much more powerful is the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, which He shed on the cross for the remission of our sins?

The blood of Jesus does not merely provide temporary protection from physical danger; it provides forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and deliverance from eternal condemnation for everyone who believes in Him.

The Passover lamb pointed forward to Christ, our ultimate Passover Lamb. Therefore, our confidence is not in the blood of animals but in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed once for all.

Reflection: Have you been washed in the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Action Plan: Take a bold step today and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. If you have already received Him, continue to live under the cleansing and transforming power of His blood.

Wisdom: The precious blood of Jesus Christ can never lose its power.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, wash me with Your precious blood. Forgive my sins, cleanse my heart, and let my life remain under the power of Your redemption. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: I receive total deliverance through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I am redeemed, cleansed, forgiven, and preserved by the power of the blood of Jesus. Amen!

Shalom! Good morning, and have a blood-protected and victorious day in Jesus' name. Amen!
