Topic: Using Your Gifts to Promote the Kingdom
Scripture of the Day: “Every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” — 1 Peter 4:10 (KJV)

God did not give you a gift merely to make you successful; He gave it to make you useful in His Kingdom. Your ability to sing, teach, organize, create, build, communicate, lead, write, solve problems, or work with people can become a tool for reaching others and advancing God’s purpose.

God specifically filled Bezalel with wisdom and skill in craftsmanship so he could contribute to the building of the tabernacle (Exodus 31:1–5). His skill was not “just a talent”—it was service to God.

Then consider Dorcas (Tabitha). She used her practical ability to make clothes for widows and others in need (Acts 9:36–39). Her gift touched lives so deeply that her death became a moment of great grief for the believers.

We see the same principle in William Wilberforce, who used his influence and position in government to fight the slave trade in Britain. He understood that his position could serve a purpose greater than himself. He kept using what he had until his efforts helped bring about significant change.

The question is not, “What gift do I have?” but, “What am I doing with what God has given me?”

Stop waiting for a “perfect opportunity.” Start using your gift where you are. Identify one ability God has placed in you, deliberately develop it, and look for a practical way to use it this week to serve people and promote the Gospel.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gifts and abilities You have placed in me. Help me to recognize, develop, and faithfully use them for Your glory. Show me where my gift can make a difference, and give me the discipline to keep improving until my ability becomes a greater instrument for Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
