TOPIC: WHAT TYPE OF DAY IS THAT DAY?
Today's Text: Isaiah 2:11-19.

Please let us read verse 11-19 together, "The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD clone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

"I intentionally reproduce the verses in THE MESSAGE version of the scripture because of the peculiar way the verses are written. The issue is self explanatory in the version for everyone.

If God is warning about a date like this I think we should be wise to decide accurately.

God is the one that will execute all that will take place on the day, He is simply exposing the answer to the questions He would set, a wise person will take advantage and appropriately position himself for the day.

I am sure the day will surely come as I know that God cannot be guilty of idle world or frightening us for nothing, He has no reason to do that.

Beloved, the Bible says, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2Peter 3:8.

This one day that God is talking about will be terrible for the unprepared and the careless, the day will be like thousand years for the terribleness of it. Whether we like it or not the day must come, I think it will come like the day that flood started at the time of Noah.

Many have heard time and again about the day till they become too familiar with the day and they are almost thinking now that the day is no more real; that's the deceit of the devil, the day will surely come.

Get ready, be not too familiar, think it not a ploy to get man to move closer to God, it's more than that, it is a real day.

TOPIC: TREASURE AND CHARIOT CAN LOSE STRENGTH.
Today's Text: Isaiah 2:7-10.

Beloved, if we understand God perfectly we will not have problem in our relationship with Him. He has made His way so straight and simple, quite uncomplicated for us to pick his mind.

If there is any complication in our understanding it is because we rather want to choose how to relate with Him rather than obey His own prescribed style and term of relating. If you look at verse 7 of our text chapter, we are told that the people have treasures, horse and chariots, all in abundance. Definitely this shows they were both financially and militarily secured.

There would not have been anything bad in this as God wants His people to prosper and be protected at the same time.

The Bible says, "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8:18.

The scripture also says about God, "For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:5.

So our security in every form is important to God.

Where the problem is with God is when our land is full of gold, horses and chariots and also full of idols and sins at the same time.

God is put off in such situation. He wants us to have all things but not with sins in the baggage.

Sin will defile everything in the baggage and God will jump out of the life of such individual or nation. According to verse 8 of our text, the resultant effect of the scenario painted above is that God will bring sin to judgment; He will not forgive and man shall be humbled.

Sin, treasures and chariot are impossible combination in God and unfortunately sin and treasure are almost difficult for some to separate in God. Such people see treasure as a license to commit sin and as something that is difficult to possess without being proud.

However you must understand that if God brought a nation and the people there to harsh judgment because of it, He will surely not spare anyone that indulges in such now. It will not be wise for you to explain this point away, the fact stands and will not be bent.

Your treasure will not deliver you when the judgment time comes, also the horses and chariots will be a useless instrument and machinery of defense in the day that God will visit sin.

Memory Verse:
"Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine." Psalm 33:18-19.

Every spirit of inconsistent living, be destroyed in my life in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: THOSE THINGS MUST NOT COME UP AGAIN.
Today's Text: Galatians 2:13-21.

To determine who is truly successful is not just someone that is known with success for few months; that duration will be too short to come to real conclusion.

Real achievers are known to sustain achievement for a Relatively long time. Millions that sit in bank account for just two months and vanish cannot qualify owner for the title of a wealthy man/woman. Paul apostle let us into what made him to qualify for his title almost like a permanent badge of honour on his chest.

He said in verse 18; "For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor." He held himself responsible for his actions and inactions.

He was known with some attitudes, behavioural pattern, idiosyncrasies etc in the past which when he came into Christianity he dropped, I am also sure that he dropped some other things when the apostleship came on. I can confirm this because he says, "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ," Philippians 3:7-8.

He was not talking about sin in that context, he has dropped sin when he gave his life to Christ but he has to give up some more things that though were not sin but could hinder his new role as an apostle to the gentiles.

But now as a major apostle in the church world then he said he must not 'build those things which he had destroyed earlier'.

He must not think that he had arrived, so he could do anything. He must not now be so free with what he had destroyed before.

I am sure you remember he said, "Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?" 1Corinthians 9:5.

He gave up all that and he was not ready to 'smuggle' them in again.

Beloved, God has been forced to sponsor the demotion of many believers and ministers because of how they smuggle back in those things which they destroyed before.

When many were to be promoted, when they were to be approved, when they were to have breakthrough, when they were to be anointed, when they were to overcome an enemy and when they were to be honoured and glorified they dedicated, covenanted, surrendered and pledged in diverse ways to and with God.

However, now that they have arrived, now that they got what they wanted, now that they are anointed and lifted it is time to technically pull down the altar of dedication and covenant. God wouldn't have that for long, He will act definitely and swiftly.

You will be joking if you think you will get away with such fraudulent living for long. God is waiting at the junction.

You better repent now, you better rebuild the altar again, you better go back to your Bethel now, you better bow before God again if you do not want God to tamper with those things He has done for you. If you build what you demolished he also can destroy what He built.

The same person in charge of breakthrough can operate breakdown. Please do not allow 'the left' hand of God to destroy what His right hand built up.

TOPIC: HOW TO 'HELP' GOD AND PROSPER.
Today's Text: Galatians 2:10.

Beloved, truth is constant; what is qualified to be known as truth in Africa will be same in Europe. Paul and his fellow apostle Barnabas, satisfied every requirement to merit the exalted office of the apostle; they were approved by the custodian of the office but just one more truth to go; they must remember the poor.

That was considered so important that they were not just 'mixed' with general qualifications.

The apostles were assessed on general note before their promotion, their productivity were what qualified them, their efforts on the field of gospel qualified their approval but this last thing have to be singled out for definite action on the score sheet for future ratification.

You know the new apostles will still be accountable to the main custodian and their sending authority; their future licensing will be on the basis that this new thing about the will be considered then.
So why is this as important? Well, that is the mind of God.

The poor must be remembered. The poor seem to be so much important to God's heart.

The first thing on the agenda for Jesus' anointing was to preach to the poor: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised," Luke 4:18.

In the old testament, the harvesting must recognize the poor, "And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God." Leviticus 23:22.

The Bible says, "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay again." Proverbs 19:17.

God ordered Israel to open wide their doors to the poor: "For the poor shall never cease out of the land therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land." Deuteronomy 15:11.

He that takes care of the poor is helping God because God has a special assignment to the poor and so His servants must not neglect them.

Secondly, though they were apostles they needed to give to the poor if they would not remain poor for life.

That they were apostles did not mean they could be excluded from giving before they would prosper.

The law is simple, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:38. That law respects no one, if you break it, it will break you, period.

Dear child of God, whichever angle you view giving to the poor, you just have to do it. If the fact is that you love God and want to help Him in His passionate love for the poor fine, go ahead and search for the poor and give to them.

And if you simply want to prosper or want others to give to you in full measure then go for the poor as well.

Do not wait till you have millions for philanthropic activities start from buying some note books for poor pupils and student, you can from there graduate to giving scholarships and other major things.

Give out food items and other little things like that. God rewards those that care for the poor and He will do so for you as you partake in the noble exercise.

Every spirit of stinginess operating in my life, disappear today in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: HOLD TO THAT WHICH IS GOOD.
Today's Text: Galatians 2:8

You will notice two principal distinctions in verse 8 of our text.

Paul spoke of his commission as Apostle to the gentiles and Peter as Apostle to the circumcision.

The commissions are definitely distinctive and separate; they are not the same even though towards the same end.

As a Bible reader you will understand that during Jesus' ministry there were about five different commissions on earth then; the Herodias, the Sadducees, the Pharisees, John the Baptist and Jesus' movement.

Checking them well you will discover each of them had what made it unique and different. I remember Jesus had reasons to relate and deal with almost all of the ministries.

The situation is not different in the last days that we happen to be part of; there are many churches and ministries.

In fact, so many are confused as to where to go and where to settle down.

If you think the situation will be better, then, be prepared for a rude shock because the churches and ministries will increase in number. Why will that be so?

Firstly, the message of the kingdom must be preached so that no one will be left with excuse for having not heard the gospel thoroughly enough to take decision.

Secondly, charlatans and impostors will increase in number so that the prophecy of end time fake preachers can be fulfilled.

But then how are we to relate with them all? Very simple, discover that which is good and hold on to it.

The Bible says, "But that which ye have already hold fast till I come." Revelation 2:25.

I will advise you to look for where sin is being challenged and also the power of God is manifest there.

These are the two major indices I can advise you to look out for when you want to make a decision.

If there is a power of God in demonstration in a church or ministry and sin is not preached against, righteousness and purity is not enthroned then be careful.

Also if righteousness and purity is preached but the power of God is not manifestly in operation then be watchful too as the devil may force you to drop righteous living by intensive pressure through diverse demonically orchestrated problems that will need anointing of God only to rectify.

Your life as a believer also should embrace these two angles of Christianity.

Embrace power and righteousness and you will find Christian life very pleasurable and meaningful. Seek for that which is good and hold very fast to it.

"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God." 3John 1:11.

• Every religious demon confusing people in this end time, fail over my life in the name of Jesus.

Oh Lord my God, uphold me by the Spirit of truth and righteousness in the mighty name of Jesus.

TOPIC: WHOEVER FORCES YOU TO SERVE SHALL SERVE YOU.
Today's Text: Genesis 17:7-8.

It's great to note that there are some Bible characters and even some contemporary believers who cannot touch a place without tapping blessing at such place.

It's like they have golden feet and steps; wherever they touch must become theirs.

When God gave a prophecy and promise to Israel they did not know that it originated from Abraham.

God told them, "Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be." Deuteronomy 11:24.

That prophecy originated from verse 8 of our text, "And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Basically, God was saying that Abraham would not step on any spot in vain; it would eventually become his own.

That's fantastic! You will be fortunate to have your house back if such people step in it! (Be not scared God does not work like that) God would not use his promise to make a thief out of someone. But the fact stands that"...ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. Isaiah 61:6.

That also look like a part of the promise of "Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours:

Beloved, has anyone made you to serve for nothing? He will pay for it.

You are to tap blessing and benefit from any place that you step on, you are to benefit from your labours, no one is permitted to eat your labours, no one is permitted to abuse or misuse you and no one is permitted to exploit your skill for no price. Your foot is blessed as your stepping is ordered by God so wherever you go must profit you.

The Lord is your shepherd and so you shall not want, He also leads you to greener pastures and guides you to where there is still water, where you go must bring comfort and blessings.

As from now every journey you embark upon shall result into profit and blessing, you shall no longer go anywhere in vain.

Wherever the sole of your foot shall step shall become a blessing to you, you will inherit the land of your labours.

Anywhere you have been forced to serve against your will shall be made to pay reparations to you.

Whoever forces you to serve shall serve you, any land that extract sweat from your life shall pay you in abundant.

Serving for nothing shall no longer be your portion and taskmasters over your life shall pay double for your efforts.

God will calculate all you have lost in the past and serve your tormentors bill of your service, look up they will pay for it. God bless you and also make you a blessing.

Memory Verse:
"They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. "Isaiah 65:22.

Prayer Points:
Every force of servitude over my life, be wasted today by the fire of God in Jesus' name.

Oh Lord my God, let my wasted labour of the past be paid back with multiple interest in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: A SEED SHALL SERVE HIM.
Today's Text: Genesis 17:6.

Let's read the verse together again, "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee."

That's great! Just a single person? Make him fruitful, make nations to come out of him and make kings to also come out of him. That's stupendous! Our God is great, I am very sure He has the ability to give what He promised. The

Bible says, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20.

Well, looking around today we see that God literally fulfilled what He promised Abraham; he had millions of natural seeds and also billions of supernatural seed since the Bible says, "Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham." Galatians 3:7.

The promise looked incredible then but now it is 'credible', then it was improbable but now 'probable' as we all can see what God has done with one man.

I see something in the scripture that staggers my mind, it says, "A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation." Psalm 22:30.

Just one seed that submits to God, a seed that permits itself to be buried in the soil in planting, a seed that allows the heat in the belly of the soil, a seed that is ready to leave the comfort zone of the barn and allow itself to be exposed to rain and sun and a seed that allows the risk of scavenging birds and animals.

Any seed that allows any of the aforementioned conditions will surely become a forest of fruitful trees, not just a single tree.

The same thing as above is what God can do with any life that is submitted to Him just as Abraham did.

Abraham left His people in obedience to the voice of God, he left all the loved ones and environment, he abandoned his interests and expectations to follow God to unknown place with unknown future and God turned him to great generational blessing.

God can do the same with you if you can submit your life in totality to Him, if you can serve Him with everything in you, if you can consider your lifetime a platform for Him to do whatever He wants with it then you are a candidate for generational blessing.

Your life will be a plus and never a minus with such heart disposition.

God is still doing this with lives, He is only looking for people with perfect heart where he will show Himself strong.

Are you a possible candidate? Your disposition will tell. Have a nice day.
