GOD'S LOVING HAND

Hebrews 12:5-6 says “… My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastens everyone He accepts as His son.”

God has adopted us as His sons and daughters so that we may inherit the same privileges with Christ. As we walk towards His eternal hope for us, we often fall on the way due to immaturity. Immaturity plays a big role in our present state - being unable to maintain balance and keep a stable approach to what comes our way every day. It takes maturity that comes from faith to realise that our responsibility to God is a commitment and fellowship with Him. This means that we are all God’s children in need of His correction.

Many times we complain of the discipline we receive, but how many times do we as children embarrass our Heavenly Father and hurt Him by our behaviour, our disobedience? Do you know how much pain we have caused Him, how much we have disgraced His name by our worldly attitude? If you say you believe Jesus but do not obey or submit to His process, can you say you are truly a believer? Many claim and present themselves as children of God, but very few behave as one. Because of His Love for us, He sometimes uses our situation to build character in us. He sometimes uses our circumstances to draw us closer to Himself. Let us therefore submit to His process that we may walk in His way and live according to His standard.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, draw me close to You. Help me to follow Your process that I may become more like You, in Jesus’ name! Amen!

JESUS CHRIST, OUR ONLY SOURCE

In the journey of life, impatience is always very costly. Most of our mistakes happen because of impatience. Many want fame, popularity, wealth, and possessions at all costs, not minding the source. Your source can either be Jesus Christ or satan.

Who is your source? The blessings of this world is a fading thing, so also is the life on which it is bestowed. Satan is a master deceiver; whatever that is sourced from him comes with conditions and ends in misery. When satan gives you something that looks like a solution with his right hand, he takes it back from you with his left hand—usually something your life depends on, something you cherish most.

Jesus Christ is the best Source—in fact, our only Source. Whatever that is not sourced from Him cannot stand the test of time.

Today, many don’t want to wait for God's time; everyone wants to take shortcuts, and in doing so, they find themselves in costly and regrettable situations.

Be patient and let God answer you on His schedule and not on yours. God’s timing is perfect, His time is the best, and His schedule is always on time. The basis of your relationship should not be the blessings you receive but rather the Source of the blessings, which is Jesus Christ. So, make Him your Source, for whatever comes from Him will stand the test of time.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the strength and grace to make You my only source, in Jesus’ name! Amen!

People of God, Good Morning & Win Today! It is Christmas Eve 2023 – and we bless the Lord for thus far He has kept us in our Year Of Laughter. We have no doubt that His mercies will continue to endure over us and all that pertains to us. The Heart We Possess

The Book of 2 Kings 6:15–16 says, “And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, ‘Alas, my master! What shall we do?’ So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’”

Just like Elisha’s servant, many are influenced by what they see, what they hear and what their circumstances look like. Their hearts are in the direction of the majority; they follow the majority instead of God's authority. Their decisions are dictated by their feelings; when they feel good, they will come to church and praise God, but when they feel bad, they start to see God in a bad light. Do your words glorify God? Is your speech profitable to others? Vain and idle talk is a product of a vain and idle heart because, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

If you want to know what kind of heart you possess, look at the way you talk in your daily activities. Your words reveal the kind of heart you possess. God has entrusted us with a treasury. It is the words that reveal what is in the Treasury. It is the character of a good man that he has a good treasure in his heart and from there he brings forth good things. Your words shall be evidence, either for or against you, on the last day. Children of God, do not just fill the air with idle talk; seek His grace, for no one can speak good words without God's grace.

“I CAN’T MEASURE MY HAPPINESS!” SAYS WOMAN HEALED OF SEVERE WAIST PAIN

With a lumbar corset fixed firmly around her abdomen on Sunday, October 29, 2023, Evelyn was obviously in severe pain as she received prayer over difficulty in walking caused by spinal injury and muscle spasms. Sometime in 2018, she had slipped badly on a rainy day. Afterwards, Evelyn had a baby and found that her injury had worsened. “I got several medical aids, including a massager and a lumbar corset, but I didn’t get better; in fact, the drugs increased my pain,” she told the church a week later. “As Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for me, I felt instant relief,” she added. “I can’t measure my happiness,” Evelyn said while demonstrating her healing. She advised people to believe in the completeness of their miracle. Expressing his joy, Evelyn’s husband narrated how he had to employ people to help in the home. “Do you want me to dance to express my joy?” he asked in excitement.

NO REASON TO RUSH

Hebrews 6:11–12 says, “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

We are living in a very impatient generation – people want to have everything now, forgetting that being impatient can be costly. When we are impatient, we tend to disregard the fact that there is time for everything. God has set an appointed time for everything that has to do with us. God’s response is not for those in a hurry. We should be patient and let God answer us on His schedule because everything is beautiful in His time. You may be great, but without preparation and time that greatness will not stand the test of time. You may be blessed, but without preparation and time that blessing will fade away. As Christians, our tools are patience, perseverance and endurance. How can your genuineness be confirmed if we don’t see your tools?

Don’t misinterpret God’s silence as rejection. The moment you think of a shortcut, satan is there to provide you with one. The first thing that happens when you take a shortcut is that you will be on your own – no God, no guide, no protection, no direction! Satan can easily strike you; rather than moving to your destiny, you would be moving away from it. Our political associations can’t help us; neither can our friends. Only Jesus can help us – and at God’s appointed time. When that time comes, you will progress with very little or no personal effort – without any stress, pressure or tension. You will just move because God has already prepared the way. People of God, there is no competition in destiny; wait patiently for the Lord and submit to His Will. God’s time is the best.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to stay in You and remain in You, in Jesus Christ’s name! Amen!
