There are so much distractions in our present world but of you hold on to Christ and stay steadfast he will never leave you. I tell you this isn't easy in this tik-tok age I myself have had some challenges with staying close to God but I know that God will keep helping me.

Eric Henry Liddell was a Scottish sprinter born in Quing China to Scottish missionaries in China he attended boarding school in Scotland and later attended the university of Edinburgh and became a famous sprinter and athlete but despite all that Eric never quaked in his faith in God as a young athlete he refused to run the men's 100 metres race in the Olympics (THE OLYMPICS!!!! An event that most athletes would risk anything for) because it was on a Sunday and it would be unholy to not honour the Sabbath. Liddell ran the 400 metres and won. After the Olympics Liddell followed his heart and started missionary work in China. At the peak of world war 2 Liddell ran a hospital for treating injured war victims and helped lots of Chinese people but he was detained in a Japanese camp he died of a brain tumor while held in the detention camp. His life might have been a short one but it was very impactful to the people he helped shine God's light to in China and to the numerous people his story inspires till today. He is a true Hero of the Faith

As a child Prince Kaboo bent all his hopes on one day becoming the chief of his tribe but trouble came knocking and the once high crown prince became a hostage captured by an enemy tribe as Ransome his tribe had to pay tribute every year we'll it got to a time they couldn't pay the tribute and prince Kaboo was set to be executed shaking in fear he was tied to a pole while the people around him danced as they celebrated his death the chief took up his spear to throw at Kaboo unexpectedly a bright light shone around the village and the ropes around prince Kaboo loosened and he fell to the floor as the spear the chief had thrown landed on an empty pole then a voice came saying "Run Kaboo run" and he ran off out of the village he later ran into one of his tribe members who had been working on a coffee plantation farm owned by a white man he began working there and in the course of time found at that it was Jesus Christ that had saved him he became devoted to God and learned to read the Bible. One day on a bid to learn more about God he took a to New York and boarded a ship while on the ship he was maltreated by the captain and many others on board because he had boarded the ship for free and always talked about God even during a storm everyone taught he will die but asking for God's help he survived but the hatred lingered until he saved the captain's life and succeeded in making the captain convert to Christianity he later got to New York and met with pastor Stephen who took him to a university to study he quickly became known around and his story of how God delivered him spread like wild fire but sadly he died of Flu at an early age even on his death bed he said "the Lord is taking me home" when he converted to Christianity he changed his name to Samuel Morris and his story is still an inspiration to all he is a true HERO OF THE FAITH

John Newton a renown pastor and Reverend quickly became a known figure around America but each time he was hunted by his past life.
John Newton was born to a money loving father and a sweet God fearing mother as a child his mother taught him stories about Jesus and the Bible but everything changed when his mother died and his father urged him to follow his path. As he grew he joined the Navy but later became a slave trader he had his own slave ship and was responsible for transferring many African slaves to America on a ship wreck one day he called out for God's help to calm the storm in despiration and he saw God's hand as the storm calmed that was the beginning of his journey with Christ as he later became a pastor but still he was convicted in his heart over all those African slaves he took on his ship led by God he teamed up with William Wilberforce of the senate to stop slave trade in Britain but to everyone's sadness he died before it was enforced. In the nineteenth century under the influence of William Wilberforce slave trade in Britain was abolished to usher in a free society. But John Newton's contributions were widely appreciated across America he was the composer of the popular song Amazing Grace and is still today one of the renown pastors in Christianity and a true HERO OF THE FAITH

"Alright sir" the teacher answered grudgingly.
It seemed like just a mere coincidence but I know what happened. I was the only one not flogged that day. The only explanation I knew was that it was through the power of the holy spirit. Hallelujah!!!
The example I just showed you was my experience with God you too can experience the power of the holy spirit in your life. Like I said just one phrase "holy spirit help me " can go a long way, whether it's an exam, an interview, anything he can do it for you
I want you to know that I will continue to pray for you, that you will experience the power of the holy spirit in your life joining in it with constant meditation on his word

THE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE 2
The holy spirit as a guardian
Through the teachings made by Jesus we understand that the holy spirit is a helper, a comforter, a person to call on in times of trouble and need (John 14:16). The Lord also made us to understand that the holy spirit dwells in us and is the source of the power we have to trample upon snakes and scorpions and cast out principalities and powers. Jesus shed his blood on the cross to give us eternal life and make us pure and free from sin. Jesus also sent the holy spirit to dwell in us on the day of Pentecost (Acts:2).
Note: Before the death of Jesus the holy spirit rested upon the patriarchs (the righteous men of the old testament) and left them afterwards. Now because of Jesus death the holy spirit lives in us and dwells in us.
As I said the holy spirit is a helper and a person to call in times of trouble and need. We as children of God we have to learn to call the help of the holy spirit in times of need, just one phrase "holy spirit help me" can go a long way in our lives. Let me share a testimony of how the holy spirit has helped me through the years.
When I was in 10th grade in high school as usual in Nigeria it is a trend to allow children to be flogged with a whip if they in anyway misbehave. In class we were caught making noise by a teacher. Immediately he requested for his whip. He asked us to turn and take 4 strokes. I was scared to death at the long thin dreaded whip, I didn't know what to do, run, it will only land me in more trouble. I am a pastors kid and I had established a foundation with God so in that situation I just mumbled the words "holy spirit help me". Due to the fear that engulfed me, I found myself being the last on the line. When it got to my turn, miraculously the principal passed
"What are you doing" he said
"I am punishing them because they were disturbing the school" the teacher replied
"Oh don't do that, they were only making noise due to them being less busy. Give them some work

THE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Have you imagined loving someone so much as to die for him? Well to most people, it feels quite impossible, but do you know that years ago Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to save you, I and everyone else.
The first man Adam committed sin by breaking the law and ate the forbidden fruit, (Genesis 3). This made it that everyone born of Adam is overwhelmed by sin. And who are the people born of Adam ? It is you and I. Naturally, every human born on earth is sinful this is because our flesh and body has been buried deep in sin. God made us to know that the punishment of sin is death (Romans 6:23) This means that every man that sins will die, it means only one thing that we were all meant to DIE, but you know what? The Unconditional love of God to us made him to sacrifice his only son Jesus Christ to die for us (John 3:16) and instead of we as men dying he died for our stead. But Jesus resurrected from the dead to give us a new life and new hope and he says "If you will believe in me and accept me as your Lord and saviour, I will save you from sins.
Are you overwhelmed with sins? Suffering from abuse, addiction, depression e.t.c. The Lord Jesus says he can help you and give you an inner peace that will make you never thirst again (John 4:13-14) if you are ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour say this prayer:
Father Lord, thank you for the cross, thank you for dying for my sins, thank you for opening my heart to you, I repent from my sins and accept you as my Lord and saviour to take charge of my life. Amen
