Beloved,
Hear this, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jer 29:11)
While men say it is over, God says I AM forever. This is a new beginning for you of the greater things our "Forever" God plans to do in your life. Age is not a barrier because our God is ageless. Step into your new future: it's a new day, a new month, and a brand new revelation of the glorious morrow. You will live to fulfil and enjoy God's plans and purpose for your life in sound health, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Thank you for your love.
Blessings always

*DATE:* SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2023 *THEME:* GOD'S JUDGMENT IS IMMINENT

*TEXT:* HOSEA 8

*BIBLE READING* (NKJV)

8:1. "Set the trumpet to your mouth! [He shall come] like an eagle against the house of the LORD, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law.
8:2. Israel will cry to Me, 'My God, we know You!'
8:3. Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him.
8:4. "They set up kings, but not by Me; They made princes, but I did not acknowledge [them.] From their silver and gold They made idols for themselves -- That they might be cut off.
8:5. Your calf is rejected, O Samaria! My anger is aroused against them -- How long until they attain to innocence?
8:6. For from Israel [is] even this: A workman made it, and it [is] not God; But the calf of Samaria shall be broken to pieces.
8:7. " They sow the wind, And reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud; It shall never produce meal. If it should produce, Aliens would swallow it up.
8:8. Israel is swallowed up; Now they are among the Gentiles Like a vessel in which [is] no pleasure.
8:9. For they have gone up to Assyria, [Like] a wild donkey alone by itself; Ephraim has hired lovers.
8:10. Yes, though they have hired among the nations, Now I will gather them; And they shall sorrow a little, Because of the burden of the king of princes.
8:11. " Because Ephraim has made many altars for sin, They have become for him altars for sinning.
8:12. I have written for him the great things of My law, [But] they were considered a strange thing.
8:13. [For] the sacrifices of My offerings they sacrifice flesh and eat [it,] [But] the LORD does not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.
8:14. "For Israel has forgotten his Maker, And has built temples; Judah also has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send fire upon his cities, And it shall devour his palaces."

*MESSAGE:*

While growing up I realised that there are times we may not receive mercy and forgiveness until we serve out our punishments. This happens when we have been warned severally and counselled to no avail. Israel had forgotten his maker and Ephraim had made many altars to sin, therefore, GOD would send fire to devour. God's anger had been kindled and there wouldn't be any mercy left.

Is the above scenario, in most cases, not our situation as a nation and families? More so, is this not the situation of the Church? The Church seems to be asleep in her duties. The world seems to be swallowing us up gradually. We have profaned the name of the LORD and have done wickedness in the land. We must not hide our sins because the LORD is coming as an eagle and nothing can be hidden from Him. We must gather to pray and seek the forgiveness of our God. He will hear and heal our land.

*PRAYER:*
O Lord, forgive us and heal our land. _*Amen*_

*DATE:* WEDNESDAY 22ND MARCH, 2023 *THEME:* A TOOL FOR FULFILLING NEGATIVE PROPHECIES

*TEXT:* DEUTERONOMY 2: 27-end

*BIBLE READING* (NKJV)

27. ‘Let me pass through your land; I will keep strictly to the road, and I will turn neither to the right nor to the left.
28. You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat, and give me water for money, that I may drink; only let me pass through on foot,
29. Just as the descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir and the Moabites who dwell in Ar did for me, until I cross the Jordan to the land which the Lord our God is giving us.’
30. “But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass through, for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that He might deliver him into your hand, as it is this day.
31. “And the Lord said to me, ‘See, I have begun to give Sihon and his land over to you. Begin to possess it, that you may inherit his land.’
32. Then Sihon and all his people came out against us to fight at Jahaz.
33. And the Lord our God delivered him [k]over to us; so we defeated him, his sons, and all his people.
34. We took all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed the men, women, and little ones of every city; we left none remaining.
35. We took only the livestock as plunder for ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we took.
36. From Aroer, which is on the bank of the River Arnon, and from the city that is in the ravine, as far as Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us; the Lord our God delivered all to us.
37. Only you did not go near the land of the people of Ammon—anywhere along the River Jabbok, or to the cities of the mountains, or wherever the Lord our God had forbidden us.

*MESSAGE:*

Today, we see Moses the leader of the Jews trying to negotiate with Sihon, King of Heshbon, to allow them pass peacefully through his land to the Promised Land. However, King Sihon refused to allow them pass through his territory and also confronted them with war. His adamant behaviour lead to loss of his land and the killing of his people whom he ought to have protected. God's plan of giving his land to the Israelites became fulfilled.

As Christians, our hearts must be open to 'godly' negotiations. Rigidity must not be applied in all cases. Wisdom is the principal thing, and this we can apply when the Spirit of God dwells within us. Perhaps, Such wisdom would have averted the war and spared the people of Heshbon. Before we make up our minds on any issue, we must inquire of God at every given point on what to do. Do you have an unsettled issue with your wife, husband, brother, sister, friend? Avoid confrontation and quietly discuss the problem with a view to finding a solution. Don't create the environment or be an instrument to fulfil negative prophecies in the bible!

*PRAYER:*
Lord, please give me a discerning spirit to be able to judge situations as You would. *Amen.*

INSPIRATION

To love God and others and to do to others what we would wish for them to do to us is the sum of the Law and the Prophets, which are the two great sections of the Old Testament. If we loved others as much as we love ourselves, we would be instantly changed. If men followed this "Golden Rule" of our Lord, society would immediately be much safer and far more friendly.

PRAYER.

Teach us, Lord, to follow the Golden Rule, to do to others what we would desire to be done to us. Show us where we have failed to do this, Lord, and help us to correct our behavior and our attitude. Destroy in us sinful self-love and let love for you and others reign in its place. Amen.

*DATE:* MONDAY 20TH MARCH, 2023 *THEME:* COSTLY ASSUMPTION

*TEXT:* LUKE 2: 41-52

*BIBLE READING* (NKJV)

41. His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.
42. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.
43. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know [it;]
44. but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among [their] relatives and acquaintances.
45. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.
46. Now so it was [that] after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
47. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
48. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously."
49. And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?"
50. But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.
51. Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart.
52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

*MESSAGE:*

Joseph and Mary worshipped annually at the temple during the Passover. They left on the assumption that Jesus was with the caravan. After one day, they realised that Jesus was not among them. Their company of friends and relatives could not fill the void of the absence of Jesus. They turned back and found Jesus in the temple after three days.

Similarly, many people journey through life on the costly assumption that God is either with them or in support of their activities. Some started their journey with Jesus like Mary and Joseph, worshipped in His temple regularly, someday left Him, and continued with friends, relatives, social media, culture, accomplishments, vocation etc. Perfect satisfaction is untenable when Jesus is absent in our life, relationships or endeavours. 2 Cor.13: 15a tells us to examine ourselves to ensure that we have God's approval. If you are not sure, seek God before it is too late. You can only find Him when you understand that life is meaningless without Him. This would result in counting as nothing your accomplishments without Him and deliberately leaving them to seek Him. Joseph and Mary did this in distress until they found Him (Luke2: 48). Note that Jesus was found in the temple discussing the Scriptures. Where and on what activity do you spend a greater percentage of your time daily? Learn from the example of the Master.

*PRAYER:*
O Lord as I seek Jesus, please reveal Him to me.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 7:2

INSPIRATION

Though Jesus uses this same phrase differently in another passage, here He speaks of us being judged by the standards by which we judge others. He warns us here that we will not "get away with" hypocrisy and an overly harsh and judgmental spirit.
