TOPIC: A Christian With An Abandoned Faith (I)

TEXT: 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

INTRODUCTION
The Holy Spirit had and has always been the executive of God on the earth since the time of the old testament. We can say that we definitely saw scriptures that referred to the Holy Spirit in thr old testament and the new testament;

2 Chronicles 24:20 (KJV) And the SPIRIT OF GOD came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, THUS SAITH GOD, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.

Ephesians 3:5 (KJV) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets BY THE SPIRIT;

So before we go on to discuss our text, we must understand from these two scriptures certain things that can help us to understand our text and thus the topic of our message. From the two verses here we confirm that:

1. The Holy Spirit is also referred to as the 'Spirit' n the Bible.

2. The Holy Spirit is like an intermediary between God and man. He does alot actually although we are focused on the purpose of making the mind of God known to man. That is, He reveals information from God to man (He also passes information to God, from man through His own intercession on our behalf when we do not know what to pray or how to properly express ourselves to God with regards to our burdens).

3. To every secret he reveals and information he gives us, there is usually a guideline from God on what part God wills that we do in response.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your word to us this hour, LORD please give us the grace to understand properly your will and to be the doers of thy word. Establish us o LORD according to thy word in all good we lay our hands on and guide us in the right path. Amen.

Father, I thank you for your love and your only begotten Son, Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross of calvary to save me from the bo***ges of the devil and eternal damnation. Continuation... eternal damnation and may more evils which befell man by the fall of Adam. Thus, bringing about the reconciliation of man back to God as Kings and priests being Joint heirs woth Christ to rule with Him being his church which is cleansed and saved by His blood.
APPLICATION: Why should you be celebrated? Why should men and women gather to applaud you? Why should you be ceremoniously honoured and appreciated? Before honour, there must be quality service and sacrifice. What makes you worthy of the honor? It's nothing but quality service and sacrifice. When the honour comes, it unlocks/opens a new level of responsibility. It may not be active service anymore but to maintain and careful prevent this reputable history and public image from being tarnished.
It's not all about working or doing service but doing QUALITY AND REASONABLE SERVICE which brings about THE IMPACT. Even if you do something perfect and lives are not touched by it, they won't come to celebrate you nor honour you. For example, if you are a cleaner at a firm, and you cleaned your own house for 10years perfectly, no one is going to award you for that. But when you keep your workplace clean, spotless and everything is in order, you'd be shocked to receive compliments and gifts from staff and your boss. Maybe one day, you can be helped to further your education, financed to pursue that your other dream or you'd be given a more paying job or given an award.
Even as a Christian, you keep asking and even pressuring God for anointing but, how many people have you humbly and sincerely interceeded for? Job was restored and blessed twice as much as he had by God because he prayed for his friends. Whose life have you impacted that you want God or even others to bless you? Lets think on these things Brethren. God Bless..

TOPIC: Even Jesus PAID the PRICE.

Text: Revelation 5:9-10 (KJV) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Brethren under this topic, we'd be using this single text to extract many messages the Lord has for us. As the topic says "Even Jesus PAID the PRICE", Of course He did and expects us to do the same as well. Nothing good comes freely and lasts as well. So as children of the most high God who want to excel in our spiritual and physical lives, we must pay the price and what do i mean? Lets discuss;

Lets pick some parts of the text one after the other to understand better. Revelation 5:9-10 (KJV) "And they sung a new song....,". The saints sang a new song For Jesus (Please check the text). A 'new' song was sang by the saints.. But.. Why? Simply because something unexpected, something new, something worthy had taken place for them to rearrange and bring forth a new song piece for Jesus. They were trying to appreciate Him, to applaud to celebrate Him, to honour Him for what He had DONE.
Revelation 5:9-10 (KJV)".....saying, Thou art worthy to take the book. and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.." The saints were declaring that Jesus is WORTHY to take the book. He had become worthy, acceptable, permitted to take the book. But.. Why so? Because he had PAID the price by being slain and giving out the priceless value to man which is redemption from bo***ge, sin, the Kingdom of darkness... (Check for continuation)
