“… Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.” – Jeremiah 3:5 KJV
The act of doing evil is based on the premise that we can. The nature of darkness that clouds the heart of men is what gives the justification of the act of evil and sin. The power of the darkness is the ability to establish lies that can’t be proven true, thus, since the proposition that justifies the act of evil can’t be proven false, we accept it as the truth and accept the act of evil
We do evil things as we are able, this is what distinguishes a person’s sinful nature from the other’s. This person commits the sin of murder because he can, the other person sees him and condemns him as a wicked killer, but this other person is also indulging in fornication because he can. They both deceive themselves as they are being deceived. They are both being led in the darkness in the path of sin, but each person in the specific course they are made to walk on (Eph.2:2,3).
When a premise that justifies sin and evil works is proven wrong, the truth is revealed, and thus, we wouldn’t be able to accept a false premise. When we can’t, we won’t. The light of GOD’s love became the great light that eliminated the darkness that has kept us in bo***ge to lies (Jn.8:12), and the Holy Spirit becomes the justifier of the new life of GOD in us, confirming that we are not evil, neither are we children of the devil anymore, but we are now children of GOD (Rom.8:16), because there is a power that makes us sons and daughters of GOD in CHRIST JESUS (Jn.1:12).
The Spirit of GOD is the guide that leads the Christian in the true path of the life of GOD. There is a new premise that justifies the life of GOD in the Christian: CHRIST JESUS has died to give us life, HE took our place on the cross that by the amazing grace HE released by HIS sacrifice on the cross, we can claim HIS righteousness in faith, been set free from sin and evil, we can now lead a new life of sons and daughters of the most High GOD. Thus, we are not evil and sinful beings, rather, we are the beloved children of GOD.
“For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” – Romans 8:15 KJV
