🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Paul; we just want to write letters and strengthen our brothers.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Peter; we just want to deny everything and everyone.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like *Job*; we just want to die and end the pain and suffering.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Solomon; we want advice to make decisions.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Jonah; we just want to escape our responsibilities.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Moses; not being able to control our temper due to pains and pressures from the ones we care for.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Sarah; sad because of something that didn't happen and we "laughed" because we thought it was impossible.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like the Good Samaritan; we want to do good no matter what.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel strong like Joshua and Caleb; ready for war.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Jeremiah, the anguish of our heart is too great.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Daniel; our strength is in prayer and no one can stop us.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Elijah; we prefer to hide in the cave.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like David and Miriam, just love singing and dancing.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we feel like Hannah; we don't really want to eat, we just want to cry.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we have faith like Abraham, to win it all, jump over walls and overcome armies.

🌿🌾🌿
There are days when we look at the hills and wonder, "Where will my help come from?"

🌿🌾🌿
It does not mean that we are strong or weak. It means that we are just human and have limits

Everybody goes through a lot these days but remember, "Whatever your day is like, the Almighty God is with you TODAY, TOMORROW & FOREVER.”

IS YOUR SPIRITUAL BATTERY DEAD:
“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:2
It is one of the greatest environmental disasters of all time and the total damage may not be known for years. It started with an oil drilling platform that had sunk a well nearly a mile below the surface. To protect from disaster, it was equipped with a blowout preventer, but something went terribly wrong when a backfire exploded on the platform instantly killing eleven people in a huge and explosive fire that ultimately took the platform to the bottom of the sea.
Subsequent investigations determined that among other things, the “fail-safe” device had a dead battery. As I read the press clips, I was amazed that for want of a charged battery, a billion dollar rig could have been saved, the lives taken spared and the environment saved. All of this happened because of a dead battery.
I could not help but think of a spiritual parallel. How many Christians get a spiritual “buzz” and get involved in everything Christian in their church and community and after a while it wears off and becomes less exciting and downright boring? It is so easy to get to burdened down with doing Christian things that we lose our glow and the spirit within us becomes weak.
Boredom kills intimacy. In my pursuit of God I have found that with a structured and disciplined Christian life comes the potential for routine and boredom. As my daily spiritual disciplines become mere routine, before long, they can degenerate into empty ritual, and empty ritual into boredom.
What can you and I do to keep our relationship with God fresh, vital, and charged up? Doing things for God may be good for the kingdom, but when we get overloaded, we get into a spiritual rut.
To keep our spiritual batteries fully charged, we need to pull away and spend sufficient alone time with God. We do that in our daily quiet time, by reading and studying God’s Word and by praying, not so much with our petitions to God, but in our listening to Him. We should pray continually, share daily and become aware of God’s work within us and around us. We tend to become what we think about all day long. Are we thinking of things above or are we thinking of things of this earth. Are we living under the arm of flesh or the arm of faith.
Remember to keep your spiritual batteries fully charged and no matter what comes your way, your spiritual fail safe mechanism will be with you in all the ways of life.

Prophetic Word

" Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.." (Eccl 7:8)

This is God's prophetic word for us this season.

It is a prophetic word from the mighty man in battle, our glory and the lifter up of our heads.

A prophetic word from the great I AM that has the final say over every situation and circumstance,

A prophetic word from the one with whom all things are possible, the self-made God and the Master of the universe, the one that controls the times and seasons and rules in the affairs of men, the creator of heaven and earth whose word is yea and amen, the trusted, unchangeable, reliable and merciful One that is full of compassion, the Lamb upon the throne and the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls.

God is literally saying that this last month of the year shall be spiritually, physically and financially far better than all the previous months. It shall be a month of absolute peace, harmony and joy in our homes. It shall be a glorious month full of testimonies that will showcase His faithfulness, loving kindness and tender mercies.

This goes further to confirm what the bible says in Pro 4:18 " ..the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more.."

Psa 65:11 also makes us to understand that this same God crowns the year with His goodness.

So beloved it does not matter how rough and tough the year has been, it does not matter how the previous months have been, it does not matter the challenges we had, the tears that ran down our eyes due to difficult and hard times, it does not matter the shame and reproach that we had to face in the course of serving God, let us be rest assured that better days, months and years are ahead.

Weeping is about to be replaced with joy, pains replaced with gains, tests replaced with testimonies, trials replaced with triumph, and mess replaced with message.

Beloved as we enter this glorious month of December, let us position ourselves for the great and miraculous things God has for us. Living in holiness and obedience to His word and passionately serving Him with dedication and commitment is what it takes to attract His blessings.

“For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness.” Psalm 95:7-8 (ESV)

I hope to reach the terminus of my Bible journey as I read from the book of Genesis towards Revelation. It has been a familiar task in the past, though, if I am honest, perhaps not so familiar to me now as it once was. Sporadically, I have shed some of the enthusiasm I once had when I first discovered that the prayerful reading of the pages of scripture revealed glimpses of God’s nature.
Last night was one of those occasions. My problem was that I was not truly focused on the task: reading the Bible. My lack of prayerful preparation had prevented me from going deeper into the Word.
I can imagine the order ringing out from below: “Christian without prayer or preparation reading the Bible – send out the befuddlers!” They were to build on my folly by speaking a disparaging word or two to tell me that it was all a waste of my time.
In a reaction, a word from God rose up to the surface of my being. Found in Revelation 3:15, it was originally spoken to the Church of Laodicea, stored in my mind from an earlier reading. I was like them in danger, too cool in my attitude towards my God. Like them possibly no longer worthy of his Loving embrace. They had tolerated compromise and indifference in their relationship with God. Quickly, I went back into God’s presence to offer a more focused heart and mind. There I found Him waiting.
I would like to think that He smiled approvingly, as a father, who sees in the action of his child, evidence they have heard and understood His call to Wisdom.
Psalm 95:7-8 (ESV) – Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts..
If unwittingly, like me, you find yourself with some apathy, hear the call to wisdom.
PRAYER: Lord, we rejoice that You are not the distant and indifferent God some would tempt us to believe in. Guide us, as we travel through today, encourage us to be whole-hearted for Your Kingdom trusting in Your Love. May Your Fragrance fill our being. Please promote in us a pleasing desire for Your Word today. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Infinitely more. Is your God too small? Will your asking bring Him all glory? Giving all glory to God means that you show God that you respect and love Him above everything else. When you do this, He is already way ahead of you, preparing to give you bigger things than you can imagine.

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound,”
but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.
John 3:8

After several days of searing heat, I welcomed this morning’s cool breeze, opening all the windows to catch its refreshment while I sat to read.
Imagine my surprise when I later walked into my study—with its open window—to find loose papers scattered on the floor. In the dining room a slender vase was tipped with water spilling on the table. While I had been relaxing, the morning breeze played its wild and unexpected tune.
Speaking of the Holy Spirit’s often mysterious work, Jesus told a puzzled, inquisitive religious leader that “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.” Jesus is specifically comparing wind to the work of the Spirit of God in the new birth process, but we can also learn about the Spirit’s work in the world and in our lives.
The work of the Spirit is delightful, fruitful, often perplexing, even somewhat mysterious. As we submit to his leading, we may often be surprised at the consequences. “I never thought I’d end up here.” “Who would believe God could use me to do this?” “I’ve never understood this verse before.”
Be alert to the Spirit’s surprising breeze. You might have to mop up spilled water or re-stack scattered papers—or re-arrange your priorities—but you might also be refreshed for a new, unexpected, life changing work of the Spirit as he leads you deeper into Kingdom work.
God bless you.

“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Numbers 13:30b
When the Israelites first approached the borders of Canaan, Moses sent scouts into the Promised Land to assess the situation. Ten of the scouts came back with reports that focused on the giants in the land, men so big and powerful the scouts feared they could not be defeated.
However, two of the scouts focused on the promise from God that he would hand the land over to the Israelites. One of those scouts, Caleb, silenced the others when he said,
“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it” Numbers 13:30
Caleb trusted God instead of trusting his own fear. The opposite of fear is faith, the belief that Jesus is capable of handling anything we may face in life. But operating out of faith means we must rely on Jesus, remaining dependent on him to see us through any issue.
He brings us to a choice: Will we trust God or will we trust our own fears?
The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10a). In other words, we hold God in reverence, recognizing his sovereignty, authority, and omnipotence—his ability to protect us in any situation.
And we reach that level of trust by knowing the Father and understanding his character: “[K]nowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10b). We know and understand the Father by following Jesus.
“To see me is to see the Father,” says Jesus. “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you aren’t mere words. I don’t just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act” (John 14:9b–10 Msg).
Your fear simply reveals a place where you aren’t yet trusting in Jesus. Don’t stay stuck in your fear, and don’t receive condemnation for your lack of faith. Jesus wants to move you past that into a place where your fears are replaced by faith. Follow him and learn to trust.

God bless you richly.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Imagine an intimidating affliction that inflicts your body with weakness, invades your mind with helplessness, ingrains your emotions with hopelessness, and infects your soul with faithlessness.
My first unwanted encounter with anxiety evolved from a series of unexpected, unfortunate, and unsolicited life events. Anxiety’s shadowy specter ceaselessly challenges my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual demeanor.
Regrettably, in many Christian circles, social stigma and wrong theology imply that flawed faith produces personal anxiety struggles. However, Scripture reveals that Jesus’ divinity did not disqualify His humanity from experiencing overwhelming anxiety. Though He felt it, he did prevent anxiety from exploiting His vulnerable heart and mind by confronting it with persevering prayer and taking every thought captive. He overcame by obediently trusting His Father’s Word, will, and perfect peace. Today’s verse reiterates Jesus’ strategy – confronting anxiety with prayer – soliciting God’s will and seeking God’s peace for a vulnerable heart and mind.
Do you experience anxiety? In today’s turbulent world, anxiety is a common and constant companion for many people – an unavoidable effect of living this side of heaven. It attempts to exploit personal vulnerabilities, oppress self-esteem, and mire conviction. It is no respecter of persons. Flawless faith or mental disciplines do not banish its company. Its stalking presence constantly compels vulnerable lives to despair, but as believers, we can persevere and triumph through truth and trust – knowing that Jesus relates with and knows our struggle. Despite its persistent presence, He enables us to persevere through anxiety’s sordid shadows – shielding our hearts and minds with His perfect peace.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for a Savior who can relate with my ongoing struggles. Protect my heart and mind from anxiety’s effects. Create in me an attitude of thanksgiving and praise. Help me realize that despite my anxious struggles, You are sovereign over every circumstance in my life. Help me to take every though captive by daily affirming the truth of Your Word. Amen.
Thought: Consider using one (or more) of the following strategies for coping with anxiety:
1) Read and pray through Jesus’ wilderness temptation, Gethsemane and Calvary experiences.
2) Confront anxiety with prayer and thanksgiving.
3) Take every thought captive daily by memorizing key Scripture verses that address anxiety and fear.
4) Encourage someone struggling with anxiety by sharing your insights and strategy.

Colossians 1vs 1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I. The inscription of this epistle is much the same with the rest; only it is observable that, 1. He calls himself an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God. An apostle is a prime-minister in the kingdom of Christ, immediately called by Christ, and extraordinarily qualified; his work was peculiarly to plant the Christian church, and confirm the Christian doctrine. He attributes this not to his own merit, strength, or sufficiency; but to the free grace and good-will of God. He thought himself engaged to do his utmost, as an apostle, because he was made so by the will of God. 2. He joins Timothy in commission with himself, which is another instance of his humility; and, though he elsewhere calls him his son (2 Tim. ii. 1), yet here he calls him his brother, which is an example to the elder and more eminent ministers to look upon the younger and more obscure as their brethren, and to treat them accordingly with kindness and respect. 3. He calls the Christians at Colosse saints, and faithful brethren in Christ. As all good ministers, so all good Christians, are brethren one to another, who stand in a near relation and owe a mutual love. Towards God they must be saints, consecrated to his honour and sanctified by his grace, bearing his image and aiming at his glory. And in both these, as saints to God and as brethren to one another, they must be faithful. Faithfulness runs through every character and relation of the Christian life, and is the crown and glory of them all.
God bless you.
