CHOICE
TEXT: Life brings man to a point of decision many times. Life is full of choices , the choice to either be a good person or wicked person, the choice to succeed or fail, love or hate,live as fruitful life or unfruitful life the choice to follow Jesus, or not to etc(Joshua 15:24 sxfays 'chose you this day whom you will serve, Werther the god that your father served in the region beyond the river, or the gods of the Amortizes . The choice we make now or later has a way of determining the outcome of our present and future life..
God when He created man. He bestowed upon man the privilege of choice, we can not side-stop this responsibility nor the result of our choices,for many will have eternal consequences. Genesis 2:17 says,"but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat of it , you will surely die. God in His infinite mercy have us the choice of life and death . Deuteronomy the 30:19says " I call heaven and earth to record against you this day that I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursing, but choose life that both you and your seed may live.
GOD DESIRE WE CHOOSE LIFE
The life that God desire we choose is not this temporal life but eternal life. John 10:28 says And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall
not perish. John 17:3 says "Now this is eternal life that they know you the only true God , an,d Jesus Christ , whom you have sent. Choose life(Jesus Christ)is the greatest and wisest choice anyone can make, it comes with no regrets but joy, peace,happiness and fulfilment in life.
Lot choose the plain of Jordan and pitched his tent towards S***m(worldly pleasure) he lost it all when S***m was destroyed(Genesis 13:11-12). Daniel a young man in Babylon choose in his heart not to defile himself with with kings meat, and he was exalted with his friends who also made a noble choice.
Dear reader and friend, have you made the choice to follow Jesus Christ?. It is the best choice you will ever make in life.Mathew 11:30says "come unto me you that labour and are heavy ladden and I will give you rest.
GODS INVITATION
Come now and let us reason together saith the Lord; though your sin be as scarlet, they shall be as withe as snow, though they be red like crimson they shall be as withe as wool. (Isaiah 1:18). Today, if you hear His voice,(invitation) do not harden your heart.(Hebrew 3:12). Invite Christ Jesus into your life..

IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THANKS
PSALM 92:1-6

God dwells in the praises of His people and desires that we should praise Him all the time. There are many reasons to give thanks to God: the air we breathe,provisions,protection,, healing,,the peace we enjoy every day and the salvation of our soul. This explains why the Psalmist said " Let everything that has breath praise the Lord"(Psalm 150:6). Indeed, we are created to give Him praise all the times.
We are expected to give thanks to God at all times (Psalm 34:1). The Psalmist said we should show forth His loving-kindness in the morning and faithfulness at night, which means praising Him at all times. God want to hear our voices in praises.
Like the ten Leppers, we are expected to come back to God to show our gratitude for all He has done for us. We behave sometimes as if it is our right to be bless by God. Therefore, we feel that giving thanks to him is not necessary, whereas giving thanks to God opens doors for more blessings.
Great is the work of our God towards us and only the wise can acknowledge it. The scripture call those who do not understand how to worship God fools. What ever the situation you are facing today, remember that God is greater than your challenges. Remember that in situation,the scripture enjoin us to always give thanks to God for it is His will concerning us (1Thessalonians 5:18).,

SUBMIT YOUR SELF TO GOD
TEXT James 4:5-10

Submitting yourself to God require you to obey Him and His commandments, regardless of you tradition or prejudices. The devil will always issue orders that are contrary to God's orders and would go to any length to justify his contrary view. When you consciously submit your self to God, however , you will be able to resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Contrast the case of the temptation of Eve,(Gen 3),with the temptation of Jesus (Mathew 4). The devil triumphed in the case of Eve, but was defeated in the case of Jesus. The reason is that Eve failed to submit to God ,so could not resist the devil while Jesus fully submitted to God and was able to resist the devil and he flewed from him.

To successfully submit to God, you must first give you're life to Christ Jesus, feed on His word, live by it and be bold to speak it when temptation arises. Can you sincerely answer these questions?. Have I submitted my self to God? Do I obey His commandments? Do I resist the devil when temptation arises my way?

THE BLESSEDNESS OF THE UPRIGHT
TEXT: NUMBERS 23: 20-23
To be upright means to be of good morals, which relates to the principles of right and wrong in behaviour. it is synonymous with being ethical, incorruptible, noble, righteous or virtuous. Uprightness is an attribute of God . Little wonder then God loves and protect the upright.
Balak, the king of Moab was terrified of the Israelites because of God's victorious presence with them through their wilderness journey to the Promised Land. Balak hired Balaam, the son of Beor, to curse the Israelites in order to prevent them from overcoming Moab, like they did the rest of the nations. As we see, attempt to curse Israel turned in to an irreversible blessing from God because,"He has not observed iniquity in Jacob,nor has He see wickedness in Israel. The Lord His God is with him. What a testimony!.
The upright is blessed with the abiding presence of God, (Psalm 15:1-2). Men and women like Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Nehemiah, Job, Daniel, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna, Stephen,among many others , enjoyed this blessedness. We live in a world in which it is becoming increasingly difficult to live uprightly, but this is not an excuse to fail. The people mentioned above lived in challenging times too, but they maintained their uprightness because they valued it's blessedness above momentary pleasure of unrighteous living.
Do you desire such blessedness? Reject and resist the momentary pleasure of sin and seek the abiding presence of God.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME
TEXT JOB 1: 13-22
On a dark day in the life of job,his joy suddenly turned into mourning. He lost everything --his wealth and his children, not because of any wrongdoing. In fact, the divine testimony about him was that there was no one in his generation that revered and worshipped God as much as he did.
It is far easier to.cherish your relationship with God when things are rosy than when unpleasant things that caused you pains-wether physical or emotional -happen. It is human to o embrace pleasure and to try to avoid pains. Anyone who has the desire to go far in his or her walk with God must be prepared for pleasure and pain , for good time and bad time.
Does this mean that God is cruel; that He takes delight on the sufferings of those who follow Him?. Certainly not! The scripture make it clear that He is a loving God, who delight in the prosperity of His servants.
As long as we are in this dark, falling and sin-ridden world, we are not completely shielded from every form of of pain. When we feel downcast, burdened, discouraged and about to give-up, always bear in mind that God is not the author of misfortune. He is with you in all your troubles, and He is able to turn things around for your good. Settle it in your heart that God is good all the time. Just like Job did, ensure that you maintain a positive attitude towards Him always.,

ETERNAL FATE OF SINNERS
Text Luke 16:19-26

The Pharisees consider wealth as a prove of a person's righteousness. Jesus shocked them with this story in which a sick beggar is rewarded and the rich man punished. The rich man did not go to hell because. Of his wealth,, but because he failed to have a relationship with God. He did not see his wealth as God's provision of meeting the needs of his brethren..
The amount of money we have is not as important as the way we use it. What is your attitude towards possessions?. Do you store them selfishly or do you use it to help others?.

He'll is the final destination of those who do not put their faith in Jesus Christ. It is a place of future punishment for the lost and the unbelievers. When the rich man died he was buried,whereas the beggars burial was not mentioned, though Luke 16:22 tells us that he was carried by the Angels into Abraham's Bossom. Everything we have in this world that is shifting our focus from Jesus will fail. The wealth of the rich man failed him.
The human mind cannot fully comprehend the righteous judgement of God who hates all evil but love the evil doer , enough to sacrifice His only begotten son for his salvation. Do not reject the love of Jesus Christ. Repent from all your evil ways. He is waiting at the door of your heart. Remember that the punishment for sin is eternal separation from God. Repent now
PRAYER POINTS:
(1). Thank. you Lord for opening my eyes to the eternal implications of sin.
(2). Lord Jesus, I repent from my evil ways,and confess that You are my Lord and personal Saviour.

WHAT GOD HATES THE MOST
TEXT: PROVERBS 6:16-19. THERE ARE SIX THINGS THE LORD HATES SEVEN THAT ARE DETESTABLE TO HIM: HAUGHTY EYE, A LYING TONGUE, HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, A HEART THAT DEVISES WICKED SCHEMES, FEET THAT ARE QUICK TO RUSH INTO EVIL,A FALSE WITNESS WHO PURES OUT LIES AND A PERSON WHO STIR UP CONFLICT IN THE COMMUNITY.

Hate is a strong word. And we know that God is a God of love,peace and mercy. So if the Bible tells us that God hate something, we should probably pay attention.
In fact, King Solomon wrote these verses in a form designed to get our attention. He wrote, "There are six things", and then wrote "seven. This use to be a common way for writers to build suspense and to make sure they had their audience attention . The knowledge shared in these verses is incredibly important. If we know what God hates, then we can make sure we avoid these things.
Solomon name seven things that God hates. And out of these seven,he mentioned lying twice. He wrote that God hates a lying tongue, and that God hates a false witness who pour out lies. He hates it so much that Solomon said it twice..
It is important that we work to avoid lying of all kinds. Our lies do nothing for us; they only hurt us. Aand more importantly, they hurt God.

THE PLOT
TEXT MARK 3: 1-8

The works of unregenerated people
are desperately wicked, they can be the enemies of the good thing the Lord is doing. They hate the work of mercy. The Pharisees who presented to be oracle's within the temple , and the Herodians, who presented to be supporters of the state,took councils together against Christ Jesus, how the might destroy Him because of His decision to heal the man with withered hand.
Your decision to follow that which is good may sit up men against you, but that should not stop you from pursuing that which is good, because the Lord will surely defend you. Men may plot against that which is good, but the scripture says "Though they plan evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed" (Palm 21:11).
We must not entertain fear, but hold on to the word of God and confess it always. While the enemies of Jesus sought to destroy Him , He quietly withdrew Himself to a secret place. This is to teach us that in times of trouble, we must learn to move away for our own safety, and to seek God by meditating on His word and praying to Him who is able to defend us. It's not a time to panic or seek help from ungodly sources,but a time to totally depend on God.
Jesus assures us not to let our hearts be troubled since we believe in Him and His Father(John 14:1). Therefore, be strengthened by this word and be of good cheer. DO GOOD ALWAYS.

WHO NEEDS THE DOCTOR

TEXT:. PSALM 34:18

This verse from the book of Psalm is one of many Bible verses that teach that God cares about our emotions, He cares when we are hurting. God heals broken hearts.

It can be tempting to think that our problems are too small or too big for God,or that God is too busy for our pain, but this is not true. God wants us to cast all our cares on Him.
Jesus said "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick".(Matthew 9:12). Jesus came to this earth to help, heal and save those who needed Him.
When we are broken hearted, we need Jesus, and it is through this broken heart that we can grow closer to Him.
When someone shares a testimony, listen closely. Nearly all believers have, at one point or the other, experience God's healing power. He truly dose save those who are crushed in spirit.

IT BELONGS TO HIM
TEXT;. PSALM24:1-6

The God who owns everything on earth is your father.The very foundation of life itself were created by the life-giving God that we serve. This is a huge deal because it tells us of the magnificence of our God. When God created everything, He pronounced that it was good. There was no deficiency in creation.
When God put man on earth, He did not just leave him there. He gave him instructions, or better still an assignment. "God took the man and set him down in the garden of Eden work the ground and keep it in order.(Genesis2:15). God, our magnificent Father who created all things for us to enjoy, gave us an assignment. He want us to keep all He has given us in order.
This means that, He expects that we have a sense of responsibility in keeping the earth in order. However man become negligent and responded in an irresponsible manner. The resent climate change is as a result of man's carelessness in the way we take care of the environments. Though it is a sign that the end time is here, we can not run away from our responsibility of taking care of our environment. We must look after it carefully because our Father is the owner.
Cleanliness, responsible waste disposal, careful application of instructions of the goods we buy, are ways we can take care of the property of God and show that we are faithful stewards. Who then can take care of our Fathers property better than we?..

FLEE SEXUAL IMMORALITY
Text:. 1st Cor. 6:12-20
Memory verse: Flee Sexual immorality. For every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1st Corinthians 6: 18.

In psychology it is believed that when a person is in a situation of recognisable imminent danger his body will have a fight or flight response. This means the individual will either fight or run away.
According to God's word, in the area of sexual sin, we are threats to ourselves. With the great advantage of spiritual insights against the psychological assumptions, Apostle Paul chose the flight over fight urging us to flee from sexual immorality. The sin of sexual immorality is very grievous because is not only endanger our bodies, it defiles the dwelling place of the holy Spirit,which our bodies are. In addition it creates a spiritual bonds between the parties involved in it. So in response we are told to run from it.
In reality, having the benefit of time to asses the threats of sexual sin, we should ask ourselves "since I am going to hurt my own body, why proceed any further?." Paul explained in Ephesians 5:28-29, that no man hated his own body. And the word of God said that he who commits adultery lacks understanding and destroys his own soul.( Proverb 6k:32).
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit , so why will you want to destroy God's own temple?. Proverb 3:7-8 says, Do not be wise in your own eyes;fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh. And strength to your bones. That includes your sexual health and contentment.
