Who You Are in Christ.

As a new creation in Christ, Peter's new found identity was at the forefront of his mind. It should come as no surprise, then, that the sevenfold blessing of an identity in Christ is also at the forefront of his first epistle. Read 1 Peter 1:1-12 and meditate on each of these Truths.

First, if you are in Christ, you have been elected (v. 2)—sovereignly chosen by God to be one of His people, the apple of His eye (see Zechariah 2:8). He began this saving work in your life, and He will see you safely to heaven's gates. He never fails to finish what He starts.

Second, if you are in Christ, you have been born again (v. 3)—so powerfully transformed by the Spirit of God that you are now a new creation (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). You have undergone a powerful transformation from death to life.

Third, if you are in Christ, you have been given a living hope (v. 3)—the assurance that you have been forgiven, restored, and adopted as His child. You will spend eternity in the presence of your loving Father.

Fourth, if you are in Christ, you have been given an inheritance (v. 4)—a birthright that is sealed in heaven for you. With the rest of the saints, you will reign and rule with Christ, enjoying His presence for all eternity.

Fifth, if you are in Christ, you are protected and secure (v. 5)—under the watchful care of a gracious Father. God alone is your mighty fortress, and no one can do anything to take you out of His hand (see John 10:28).

Sixth, if you are in Christ, you are blessed to suffer for Christ (vv. 6-7)—"for our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:17). God will use your suffering for Jesus to bring you closer to Him than you've ever been before.

Lastly, if you are in Christ, you have been privileged to experience the grace of God (v. 10)—His unmerited favor that even the angels long to know. You were once a hell-deserving sinner, but now you have been redeemed by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. You are not only saved by this grace but sustained by it each day.

Keep these blessings at the forefront of your mind. As you do, you will find yourself glorifying God and experiencing the fullness of His joy as never before.

Prayer: Lord, I praise You for Your loving kindness, faithfulness, and mercy displayed in these amazing blessings. Thank You for saving me and making me Your own. Use me for Your glory. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"

The Word of God Never Change!

How You Respond to the Storms in your life will reveal the true character of your faith and trust in God.

How do you respond when the tide seems to be going against you, and everything you once held dare comes into question. ?

There are a plethora of Believers who are simply waiting on God in order to receive their next Blessing. But what happens when you must go through a season of bad weather.

Your co-workers on your job begin to cause trouble and confusion. Your home feels like a battleground. You’ve just been diagnosed with a serious illness. Your family is in dire straits. In seasons like this, many of us feel like we need something new — a new word from God that applies directly to our situation.


In the midst of the storms of life, we become convinced: I need a new promise. I need God to speak a new word into my life. Many of us have questioned our faith, in search of some new belief system only to realize the word you need. is the same one God has already spoken into your spirit.

You don’t need a new promise. You need to hear the same promise again. God has promised you will be brought safely through whatever strom you are facing right now.

Therefore, Meditate on the following passages of Scripture as you hold fast to your faith and trust in God.

Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Philippians 1:6: “I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

John 10:27–28: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will sn**ch them out of my hand.”

Philippians 4:19: “My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

1 Corinthians 1:8: “He will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

When you get to the other side of your storm you will be able to boldy proclaim ,'never once did God fail to keep his promise.”

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬

Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me"
Scripture Lesson: Psalm 124:6-8

As you go through your daily life, each one of us experiences difficult situations. A lot of the times when we go through pain or suffering, we are surprised that these situations find a way into our lives and forget that God has told us that we will experience hardships. We are given the gift of faith from Him and are taught to use this valuable fruit of the Spirit, but a lot of the times we do not. In difficult or confusing times, we are quick to worry about them instead of having faith.

The grace of God has given us the gift of faith, not because we deserve it, but as a result of the everlasting goodness of His works. It is important to also know that this gift we have been given is not in exchange for us accomplishing good works. Appreciation for this gift should fill our hearts with humility knowing we've been given something we could never achieve on our own.

“Therefore, we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

When we do go through hardships, whether they be financial troubles, painful relationships, damaged health or questioning our self-worth, it is hard for us to realize that God is still always working in us. This is because as humans we use our belief based on what we see and not by faith, which is what God tells us to focus on. Second Corinthians 5:7 tells us it can be difficult to trust God during uncertain times, but as believers we know that His ways are not our ways, and He will ultimately work all things for good (Isaiah 55:8-9, Romans 8:28).

Having faith in difficult times can allow you to find peace in God’s presence. When you are unfaithful, it can harden your heart with pride and cause you to grow distant in your relationship with Him. Learning to give up all your struggles and problems to God can lift a heavy burden off yourself. God has given us the gift of faith so that we may use it to recognize His works and not be in constant worry when we are surrounded by uncertainties.

Forgiveness!

When someone does something that hurts you, how do you typically react? Do you yell at the other person? Do you seek revenge and try to hurt that person in return? Do you demand that the other person pay for what they’ve done? Do you tell other people about how unkind that person who hurt you is?

Most of us want to do all of these things. But Colossians 3:13 gives us a completely different way to respond to people who hurt us:

We should follow Jesus’ example and forgive them. After all, if Jesus was willing to forgive us of our sins, then shouldn’t we be willing to forgive others as well?

If you’ve ever tried to learn to play an instrument, to learn another language, to play a sport, or to learn how to do something new, you know that it usually takes a lot of commitment and practice to keep getting better at that activity.

In the same way, becoming a forgiving person is also a big commitment and takes a lot of practice. Fortunately, every conflict and every disagreement we have is another chance for us to practice becoming more forgiving people!

Here are some important points about forgiveness that you need to keep in mind:

1. Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling:
It’s a choice to let go of the hurt that somebody caused you. And you don’t have to wait for an apology before you forgive.

2. Forgiveness is an ongoing process:
Just because you choose to forgive someone doesn’t mean that you will immediately feel better about what happened, and it doesn’t guarantee that the person won’t hurt you again. In Matthew 18:21-22 Jesus taught His disciples that we may need to be ready to forgive multiple times. (Just think about how many times God has forgiven you!)

3. Forgiveness is not the same thing as forgetting: Forgiveness doesn’t mean acting as if the person never hurt you, but it does mean not holding that person’s sin against them anymore. 1 Corinthians 13:5 says that love keeps no record of wrongs.

4. Forgiveness is a gift:
Have you ever noticed that the word give is part of the word forgive? Forgiveness is an incredible gift from God that we have received, and it is an incredible gift that we can offer to others as well. Remember that whenever you forgive others, you are showing the whole world that God has forgiven you.

God Loves Us. Period.

We all are starving for a personal experience of genuine, Biblical love. The teachers of shadow spirituality tell us that it is only as we love ourselves that we are able to open our hearts to receive divine love. But this is the opposite of God's true spirituality. We come to Christ when we recognize that we are nothing without God and that, even in our sinful state, Christ died for us. The person who is absorbed with self-love cannot find God because he sees no need for God.

True love does not occur apart from God, and for the follower of Christ, love is not optional. That is because God's love flows from His nature. As John wrote, "God is love" (1 John 4:8). His character is defined by love. God has made an eternal choice from the foundation of all creation that He will love His creation.

At no time does God say, "I love you whenever it is convenient. I love you when you are good. I love you as long as you promise to try harder." God's love is constant, unchanging—not contingent on our performance. His love is sacrificial, always aimed at bringing about our eternal good.

God's love never varies. He loves us even when we are rebellious and disobedient, when we turn our back on Him and refuse to return His love. He loves us. Period. He loves us because that is His choice. God is love.

Jesus said in the most famous verse of the New Testament, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is nothing in that statement about our earning or being worthy of God's love. All the motivation and impetus are on God's part.

Our appreciation for God's love will grow when we realize that His love is not artificial or cheap. When God said to humankind, "I love you," He gave up all that was most precious to Him. He wondrously demonstrated His love by paying the price for our sin and that price was the death of His own Son.

Take a moment and allow yourself to be overwhelmed with the unconditional love of God. Praise Him for loving you even when you were at odds with Him.



Prayer: God, You truly are love. Thank You that we are enabled to love You and others because You first loved us (1 John 4:19). I know Your love will never fail or even diminish. Thank You, dear Father, for Your constant love for me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"[H]e is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments" (Deuteronomy 7:9).

𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙊𝙪𝙩 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙕𝙤𝙣𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙮 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙋𝙪𝙩 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪.....

I ask you today, what is it that causes you to hold back from Me? You desire more of Me, what are you willing to do to receive that? It’s not all about what you are doing, but who you are becoming, however, I’m not the fairy godmother who will wave a magic wand over you and turn you into a prince or a princess. You already are above that, you have been made a king and a priest to Me. It’s just a matter of you discovering who you are, rising up on the inside to take back all that has been stolen from you and go on the offensive instead of retreat. It’s time for you to come out of hiding, come out of the cave and let your heart be soft and pliable to form the words of your mouth so that you can let you voice speak My Words. The more you speak Truth, My Word is Truth, the less room there is for doubt. Fear, doubt and unbelief is rooted in self preservation and will rob you of all that I provided for you.

I Am your protection, I will hide you under the shadow of My wings, in the secret place you are safe. The secret place is not only in the prayer closet of intimacy, but My secret place is everywhere you go because it is found on the inside of you. I will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Me because you trust Me. Trust and hope will anchor your soul through every storm. This has been a stormy season, but seasons change and the shift has happened. It’s time to arise from the bed of affliction and bring My presence through faith and Holy Spirit inspired prayers to those around you. So shall you move into My plans and purposes with peace, power, protection and provision equal to every task. Give Me some faith and see what I can do with your portion. You are selling yourself short, you are allowing the enemy to rob from you. Say NO MORE! There is power in your simple believing and speaking, so don’t be afraid to use what I have given you because you are an overcomer.

Tell the Adam in you to die and the Christ in you to come alive. I Am living and breathing and walking in you, says the Father, and I've opened an abiding place to you that where I Am, there you may also be. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, but you are not just born of the flesh; you are born of My Spirit, and the waters of My Spirit are surging in you and through you to cleanse out the dross of disappointment, the refuse of sensuality, that you might ride prosperously on the high places of the earth. That which is born in sin will not have dominion over you, says God, for I have infused you with My presence and lifted you out of weakness that you might see your reflection in Me and reflect that glory out into the world.

"You're Born of God", I say to you – learn to say that to yourself. Look in the mirror every day and say, "thy kingdom come…" for I have made you a king and a priest in the earth as I Am the King and the Priest over all creation, world without end. Let this truth be a truth of finality in you and not just an occasional perspective that you touch on once in a while. I have placed My endlessness in you, says the Father. As you come to the end of yourself, you will enter into My eternality that cannot be diminished by the passage of time or the challenges of the enemy against you. My life-changing spirit came to you and lives in you always. That is the wisdom that guides you and the truth that sustains you as you lift yourself up before Me in worship and surrender and willingness to walk out My purposes in your life every day
