MOTHER’S DAY MESSAGE
From the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, Nigeria Territory

Dear Beloved Mothers in The Salvation Army,

Warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all mothers, grandmothers, and aspiring mothers across the Nigeria Territory as we celebrate this special Mother’s Day.

Today, we honour and appreciate your invaluable contributions to our Families, Corps, and Communities. Motherhood is a divine calling that goes beyond giving birth; it involves nurturing lives, shaping character, and building strong foundations of faith, love, and godly values.

As we celebrate, I encourage every mother to reflect on this year’s Territorial theme:
“Building Capacity for Greater Impacts” (Ephesians 4:12–13).

This theme reminds us of the importance of growing spiritually and developing ourselves so we can make greater impact in our homes, our corps, and the society. As mothers, we are uniquely positioned to influence and raise the next generation for Christ.

The Scripture also reminds us in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

May our lives continue to shine as examples of faith, compassion, and godly leadership wherever God places us.

On behalf of the leadership of Women’s Ministries, I extend warm felicitations to all Salvationist mothers and aspiring mothers across the Nigeria Territory.

My dear husband, the Territorial Commander, Commissioner Friday Ayanam, also sends his warm greetings and congratulations to you all.

Happy Mother’s Day!
May God continue to strengthen you as you build capacity for greater impacts.

With love and prayers,

Glory Ayanam
Commissioner
Territorial President of Women’s Ministries
The Salvation Army Nigeria Territory

THE POWER OF ACTION

Nothing will be done on earth until earth invites heaven by any form of action. Action is the foundation for all change and the fuel for results. Prayer is good; however, prayer without action will inevitably culminate into frustration. Even unction without action will end in commotion and confusion. Even, faith without work, James calls death (James 2:26). You don’t need to do the magic, but you need to set things into motion by your actions.

Gen 12:1 & 4; Now the LORD HAD said unto Abram, GET THEE OUT of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: SO ABRAM DEPARTED, as THE LORD HAD SPOKEN UNTO HIM; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran

Heb. 11:7 and 30* say, “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, MOVED WITH FEAR, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is by faith…By faith, the walls of Jericho fell AFTER (Action) the army had marched around them for seven days.

The Lord had said to Abram (Gen 12:1). The big question is how long the Lord has been telling Abram to leave? Noah moved with fear, and the wall of Jericho only fell after the army of the Lord had moved for seven days. Without action, therefore, results will be far from your dwelling.

Anywhere Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul go (ACTION), there will either be miracles or riot. Remember, Jesus, I know, Paul I Know, who are you? (Acts 19:15).

Luke said in Acts 10:38, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how HE WENT AROUND DOING GOOD and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him. Paul said in his letter Gal 1:15-16, “But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, MY IMMEDIATE RESPONSE was not to consult any human being.”

Action is not in just activities but obedience to God’s plans for our life. Gen 22:16 says, “By Myself, I have sworn, says the LORD, BECAUSE YOU HAVE DONE THIS THING, and have not withheld your son, your only son.”

What is action?
1. Human responsibility to secure the divine ability
2. The earthly capability that provokes heavenly capacity
3. The passionate drive with a purpose that initiates meaningful intention.

A— Acquire Knowledge
C— Committed To Life
T— Target Process
I— Improve Daily
O— Oppose Competitors
N— Never Quit

Life’s secret is as much you CAN, or like nothing you desire.

Inaction handicaps God (Mark 6:5). The person that is destined to kill Goliath is not David, but Saul. It was one of the kings duties to defend his people. The anointing on king Saul was strong enough to bring down the head of Goliath, but fear storms Saul’s heart and his army, but David took over the stage by conquering the spirit of fear and do justice to the enemy of the God’s army. Listen to this, it’s either God’s Way or God’s Whale. Jonah 2:17. Action is a must.

Eze 22:30 says God is looking for a man among them who will stand in GAP (Go Against Poverty). God is looking for a man that will act and check heaven to make things happen on earth.

The Mystery Of On The Go. _ACTION_

The law of action state that, the corresponding response to the demand of the hours is the mother of all results.

1. Water turns into Wine By Action. John 2:5, and 7-9
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water” (The demand), And they filled them up to the brim (Action). 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now (The demand), and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it (Action). 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

The miracle of the wine does not happen at the command of Jesus but at the obedience of His disciples.

2. Five loaves and two fishes’ multiple in the hands of the disciples. John 6:11-12
And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, HE DISTRIBUTED THEM TO THE DISCIPLES and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.”

Five loaves and two fish did not multiply at the breaking and prayer of Jesus but at the distribution of his disciple. ACTION

3. Lepers at the Gates 2Kings 7:3-7
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘WE WILL ENTER THE CITY,’ THE FAMINE IS IN THE CITY, and we shall die there. And IF WE SIT HERE, WE DIE ALSO. Now, therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” 5 And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise, no one was there. 6 FOR THE LORD HAD CAUSED THE ARMY OF THE SYRIANS TO HEAR THE NOISE OF CHARIOTS AND THE NOISE OF HORSES—THE NOISE OF A GREAT ARMY; SO THEY SAID TO ONE ANOTHER, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” 7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

Nothing happens while sitting, but God causes the army of their enemies to hear a strange noise which makes them run for their lives.

The Secret
As indecision is a decision; so is inaction is an action. If you decide to do nothing, you chose to live a future that is void of results. And there's nothing in doing nothing

Areas to Act
1. Act to be Holy. (1Peter 1:16–Be ye Holy as Your Heaven Father Is Holy. Heb. 12:14… Follow Peace
2. Act to Serve God: You Shall Serve The Lord Your God.(Exo 23:25-26/Job 36:11)
3. Act to be responsible for Yourself and Your Family. Esther 4:14, Daniel 1:8 Neh. 1&2.

Benefits of Actions
1. Established Name
2. Established Purpose
3. Established Vision
4. Established Posterity
5. Established Brand

…be inspired, live an abundant life, and help others.

God bless you richly in Jesus name. Amen!

My dear Officers, Soldiers, Adherents, and Friends of The Salvation Army,

Happy New Year to you all.
As we step into 2026, my heart is full of gratitude. We have just come through 2025, and truly, we saw the hand of God in our lives, our homes, and in our work as an Army. God carried us, provided for us, protected us, and blessed us. _“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy”_ (Psalm 126:3).

Now I welcome you joyfully into the year 2026, a new season, a fresh beginning, and a year loaded with opportunities and breakthroughs. I know many of you have set goals for this year. Some of them may look big, some may look small, but I encourage you—place them all in the hands of God. _“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans”_ (Proverbs 16:3).
This year will favour you as you trust Him.

For 2026, our Territorial Theme is:
“𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓” – Ephesians 4:12–13

This theme reminds us that God wants us to grow: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and in our service to Him. Ephesians 4:12–13 tells us that God equips His people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up, become stronger, and reach maturity. In simple terms, God is calling us this year to stretch, to learn, to sharpen our gifts, and to allow Him to prepare us for bigger assignments.

𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 means improving who we are so that God can use us more. It means seeking knowledge, deepening our prayer life, studying the Word, serving with joy, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our character. _“Study to show yourself approved unto God”_ (2 Timothy 2:15).
When we grow, our impact grows. When we submit ourselves to God, He makes us vessels of influence for His kingdom.
As a Territory, the leadership has prepared amazing programs to help all of us grow this year. We begin with the 31 Days Fasting and Prayer, a time to draw closer to God, reconnect, and align ourselves with His purpose. I encourage every Salvationist to take this seriously. Please follow the fasting and prayer manual carefully. This manual was prayerfully prepared by the Holy Spirit through our Spiritual Life Development Department. It will guide you, encourage you, and strengthen you throughout the month.

MY ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU AS WE BEGIN 2026 IS SIMPLE:
• Start the project.
• Take the first step.
• Seek knowledge.
• Pray continuously.
• Grow intentionally.
And this year will become an amazing year for you. _“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day”_ (Proverbs 4:18).

My wife, Commissioner Glory Ayanam, Territorial Leader for Women’s Ministries, joins me in sending you our love and warm New Year greetings. Together, we pray that your home will be filled with peace, joy, and the presence of God throughout 2026.

We wish you a Happy New Year.
May God bless you richly.

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE TERRITORIAL COMMANDER, THE SALVATION ARMY – NIGERIA TERRITORY

My dear Officers, Soldiers, Adherents, and Friends of The Salvation Army,
Grace and peace to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate Christmas this year, my heart is full of gratitude. The birth of Jesus is God’s greatest gift to the world. His coming reminds us that God sees us, God loves us, and God chooses to dwell with us. *“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…”* (Isaiah 9:6).
This is the message of hope that changed the world forever.

When Jesus was born, the angels were the first to proclaim the good news. They announced it to simple shepherds in the field, saying, *“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men”* (Luke 2:14). And far away, wise men followed the star and came seeking the newborn King, bringing their gifts with joyful hearts (Matthew 2:1–11). The news of His birth touched shepherds, wise men, and ordinary people—just like the message of Christ continues to touch us today.

For us in The Salvation Army, the birth of Christ reminds us why we serve. Jesus came to bring hope to the hopeless, comfort to the hurting, and light to a dark world. This is the heart of our mission. We are called to share His love in practical ways, to reach the lonely, the poor, the broken, and the forgotten—just as He reached out to us. *“Whatever you do for the least of these, you do it unto Me”* (Matthew 25:40). This has always been our Army spirit.
Because Christ was born, we now have a place with God. His coming brings us forgiveness, new life, and a relationship with Him. We are no longer far away; we are God’s children, called to walk with Him daily (John 1:12).

As Salvationists, let us keep the true Christmas spirit alive. Let us share what we have with our families, neighbours, and as many people as we can. Christmas is not only a celebration, it is an opportunity to love, to give, and to bless. That spirit of giving is part of our identity as an Army. Let us open our hearts and hands joyfully this season.
My wife, *Commissioner Glory Ayanam,* the Territorial Leader of Women’s Ministries, joins me in sending you our warmest wishes. Together, we pray that your homes will be filled with peace, joy, and God’s presence throughout this season and into the New Year.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
May the light of Christ shine brightly in your lives today and always.
God bless you.

THE INGREDIENTS OF LIFE

1. Don’t Think You Can Be Great Without Vision. The First Ingredient Of Life Is Vision. If You Can’t See Life, It Will Be Impossible To Achieve It. Vision Is Seeing The FUTURE While Living In Now. It Is Capturing The Future From The Scripture So You Can Feature In The Future.

2. Vision Is The Picture Of You In The Life To Come. It Is The Possibility Of The Future And The Reality That Is Hidden In Today. Everything Is Vision And Vision Is Everything. Vision Will Birth Ideas And Idea Will Transform The World.

3. Don’t Think You Can Be Great Without Information. Vision Without Information Is Like Skeleton Without Flesh. Vision Itself Can Do Nothing, But Vision With Information Is Powerful. When You Can See The Future And You Decide To Gather All Information To Get There, Then You Are On Your Way To Greatness.

4. Nothing In Life Is As Powerful As Information. A Life Without Information Is A Deform Life While A Life With Information Is A Transform Life. Information Connote Knowledge. Knowledge Breeds Peace, Peace Guarantee Confidence And Confidence Gives Access To Destiny.

5. Don’t Think You Can Be Great Without Action. What You Know Is Useless Until You Apply It. Action Is The Fuel Of Life. Action Is Evidence That You Believe In Yourself And Subscribe To Your Believe. Also Action Means You Are Ready To Pay The Price For What You Want And What You Believe That You Are Ready To Die For.

6. Action Plus Information Is What We Called Power. Knowledge Plus Action Is What We Called Wisdom. There Is No Wisdom Without Action. Remember Applied Knowledge Is Called Wisdom. Action Partner With Life To Stop Death And Bring Light To The World.

7. Don’t Think You Can Be Great If You Don’t Obey The Law Of Timing. Time Is Very Crucial In The Journey To Destiny. Time Is The Key. Time Is Life. You Either Invest It Or You Spend It. You Either Make It Count Or You Lose It. Time Is The Mother Of All Greatness.

Think Future Think Relevance

…be inspired, live abundant life And help others.

God bless you richly in Jesus name. Amen!
