*POWER TO IMPART LIFE*

*Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also… (John 14:12).*

When God gave you eternal life, He didn’t give you something dormant or passive; He gave you inherent life, a life that reproduces and expresses itself. The Lord Jesus said something that boggles the mind in *John 5:26, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.”*

This is why Jesus could give eternal life. Eternal life is the very life and nature of God, and inherent in it is the capacity to impart it. Consider the words of the Lord Jesus: *“...these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18).*

Why is this possible? It’s because you emit and evince eternal life. The life of Christ is revealed and manifested in and through you. You’re a life-giver. The Apostle Paul understood this when he said, *“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2).* That life in you is superior to sickness, death, and every contrary force. And because it’s in you, it can flow through you.

You can impart life through your words, through the laying on of hands, and through your actions. You’re a carrier and a distributor of eternal life. And as you consciously release that life, you’ll see its power at work, bringing healing, deliverance, and transformation to those around you.

*I have the life of God in me, and it’s active and coursing through every fibre of my being, even now. That life impacts everything around me, bringing healing, deliverance and transformation to many. I walk in boldness and manifest the glory of God; I’m a life-giving spirit, dispensing life everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - Romans 12:1*
*“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Imagine a friend gave you their brand-new gaming console to borrow for the weekend. You’d treat it with respect, right? You wouldn’t spill drinks on it or drive it into a wall. You’d want to take care of it because it’s a gift you’re responsible for. Well, God has given you a gift too: your body. And He actually lives in it.

The Bible says, *”Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1Corinthians 6:19-20).* Your body is actually a gift of trust given to you by God to function here on earth, and He expects you to use it wisely, because every one of us will account for what we did with our bodies. This is the reason the Lord tells you to present your body as a living sacrifice.

To present your body as a living sacrifice means that you present your body to the Word of God. In other words, you cause your body to do only those things that the Word of God says you should do. You make your body function in such a way that brings glory to the Word of God. For example, the Bible says you should put to death the illegal transactions of the body *(Romans 8:13);* so, when your body starts feeling tired, lazy, or tries to get sick right before a big game or exam, you say, *“Body, you’re the temple of the Holy Ghost; we’re not accommodating sickness or weakness here; I’m alive!”*

Again, the Word of God says that *“sin shall not have dominion over you” (Romans 6:14),* and so you let God’s Word and righteousness reign in you. When you present your body to the Word of God, life will take on a whole new meaning; sickness and infirmity, depression and sorrow will be a thing of the past! The glory of God will be mightily manifested from your spirit, through your body, to the outside world.

The Name of Jesus is very powerful. God has given Him a Name that is greater than every other name.

The Bible says that at the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. This means nothing is greater than His Name. When you pray in the Name of Jesus, you’re using the authority He has given you. That’s why we say His Name with faith and respect.

Whether you’re praying, thanking God, or helping others know Him, remember that the Name of Jesus carries power, victory, and salvation.

*DIVINE DESTINY*

*For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).*

Did you know God never created anything without a purpose? For every human being, there’s an earthly destiny and a divine destiny. An earthly destiny is just what it is—earthly. It’s influenced by such factors as who your parents are, where you were born and raised, your friends, relatives, and everywhere you invest time. All these would have an impact on you.

The books you read, the films you watch, and all the information you digest, they shape your natural destiny. But there’s another destiny, the divine destiny, and it supersedes any earthly destiny. With that divine destiny, it doesn’t matter what these other factors are, they’ll not determine what you become. They lose their power to define you. God introduces a higher life that overrides background, limitations, and human circumstances.

For this divine destiny to become your real-life experience, God tells you what to do. He gives you instructions and guidance so that the earthly destiny will not rule your life or determine the circumstances of your existence. The Word of God is the instrument by which you’re aligned with that higher purpose.

The Bible reveals that God’s plan is always good and for your good. His plan for you is great. He is great Himself, and He can only raise great men and women. That’s the way it works with Him. He cannot reproduce a failure. He can only reproduce a success. He can only reproduce royalty. So, when you follow His Word and walk in His guidance, the divine destiny becomes your reality, and the earthly influences lose their hold.

*Dear Father, I thank you for your divine purpose for my life, which is higher than every earthly influence. I walk in the light of your Word, guided by your Spirit, fulfilling the destiny you ordained for me. I refuse to be limited by earthly background or circumstances, for I am the product of your greatness and the expression of your will in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - John 14:6*
*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."*

*LET'S TALK* ⏩
I love the Lord Jesus; nobody ever spoke like Him. His words were absolute and profound. In the scripture above, he said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."* Notice He didn't say, "I am a way" or "I am one of the ways"; rather, He said, *"I am the Way!"* Letting us know that He is the [only] Way; therefore, no man can get to the Father except by Him.

In a world where people say, "Just follow your heart" or "All roads lead to God," Jesus made it clear that not all roads lead to God. Coming into a living relationship with Jesus by declaring Him as Lord of your life is the only God-ordained and acceptable means of salvation for all mankind!

The Bible says, *"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"(Acts 4:12).* In other words, no other name has been given, or will ever be given among men by which they can be saved, except the Name of Jesus. It's not about trends, popular influencers, or world religions. Salvation is in Jesus alone.

That means salvation isn't in the name of Buddha or Mohammed, or any other religious leader in the world. Therefore, as a teenager, you don't have to wait until you're "older" to have a relationship with God. Let Him reign and rule in your life as Lord. Make Him the personality of your deepest affection, and He'll give you that peace, joy and fulfilment that you desire in your life. Praise God!

A long time ago, God showed His presence in special ways. He appeared to people, lived in a special tent, and later in a big temple. God's glory filled those places, and everyone knew He was there.

But today, there's a glorious difference: God no longer just lives in buildings. He lives in you! When Jesus came into your heart, His presence filled you. That means wherever you go, God goes with you!

So, remember this; you're never alone. You carry God's presence everywhere. Your life is special, full of God's glory, and you can share His love with everyone around you!

*RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH*

*For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:17).*

In our previous study, we learnt that the Gospel is the power of God. It's the message that declares that through Christ, you've been justified, made righteous, and brought into oneness with God. The Gospel shows you what God has done, who you have become, and what now belongs to you in Christ. This produces faith in your spirit.

God deals with men on the basis of faith. He brings men into righteousness, not because they qualified by works but because of faith. Consider something remarkable in *Hebrews chapter eleven.* The Bible lists great men of faith: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc.

But right in that list, it also says, *"By faith the harlot Rahab perished not..." (Hebrews 11:31).* A harlot; yet she's included among the heroes of faith. Why? It's because she believed! She heard about the God of Israel, saw His representatives and believed in their victory even before it happened *(Read Joshua 2:1-22).* She aligned herself with their faith, with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

That one act brought her into God's purpose and even into the lineage of the Lord Jesus. This is the power of righteousness by faith. When it's imparted to your spirit, everything changes. You're no longer defined by who you were or where you came from but by what you've received.

In the Book of Romans, Paul unfolds this progressively. He shows the legality of righteousness, how God made it available through Christ, and then reveals its impartation into the human spirit. So, you're not trying to qualify for God's acceptance. You've been brought in by faith.

Live with the assurance that you're accepted, justified, and established in God, not because of what you did but because you've embraced, accepted and received the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ: *"...that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith "(Philippians 3:8-9).* Hallelujah!

*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the righteousness revealed in the Gospel. I'm conscious that I've been brought into the Kingdom by faith, not by works. I walk in boldness, fully assured of my acceptance and right standing in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

*“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Owen: “Everyone in my class already has the exam questions. If I don’t cheat like them, I’ll be behind in my test scores!”
Wyatt: “No, you’re not of this world. You don’t have to play by their rules.” If you’re born again, then Jesus has called you and chosen you out of the world. He has called you to live on God’s terms; that’s how the *Message Translation* renders the Scripture above: *”If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you.”* As Christians, we play by a different set of rules; we function by divine principles. That’s what it means to live on God’s terms.

The teenager who’s born again has been separated from the world. You should never think, talk or live like everyone around you who doesn’t know Christ. Refuse to follow trends that go against God’s Word, even if they’re popular on social media or in school; rather, live by God’s principles; be a doer of the Word. The Bible says you’re *“...a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).*

You're a special breed, born with the life and nature of God, and called to display the perfections and excellence of divinity. You've been born into a kingly lineage. Yes, physically, you may look like your neighbour next door who's not born again, but in reality, you're royalty because you're born of God.

Understand today that Jesus has separated you from the general class; He's chosen you to reign as a king in life. Remember that though you're in the world, you're not of the world; Jesus has chosen you out of the world to live on God's terms.

📖 *I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalm 34:1)*

Did you know that singing to God can release His power? Singing praises to God is not just music; it's a way to show Him you trust Him. And when you praise Him, He moves on your behalf.

The Bible shows us at different times how God's power was released through praise. In *2 Chronicles 20,* God's people were surrounded by enemies. Instead of being afraid, they sang praises to God. As they sang, God fought for them, and they won. Paul and Silas were in prison, but they sang to God, too. Suddenly, there was an earthquake, their bonds were loosed, and they were set free *(Acts 16:25-26).* So, when something seems difficult, refuse to worry. Sing to God! Your praise is like a key that opens the door for God's power and brings victory!

*A NEW CLASS OF MEN WITH A DISTINCT LIFE*

*And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son(1 John 5:11).*

*2 Corinthians 5:17* says, *“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”* You’re a new man in Christ, with the resurrection life: *“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).*

We’re a new class of men, a new species. This is what you must understand about our life in Christ. The life we have is from God and not from man. The Apostle John was deliberate with his language. He didn’t say, “Life is in His Son”; rather, he said, *“This life is in his Son.”* He’s talking about a specific life, the very life of God.

In *1 John 1:2,* he calls it *“…that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.”* This life is different from all others. It’s what makes us divine. It’s what makes us gods: *“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6).* The Bible says as He is, so are we in this world *(1 John 4:17).*

Even the angel in the Book of Acts understood the peculiarity and taxonomic difference of our life in Christ when he said to the apostles in *Acts 5:20, “Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”* This life is distinct, divine and superior. That’s what you received when you were born again.

Being born again is not about joining a church; it’s about receiving eternal life—the life and nature of God. It means God is your Father. It means you’ve been brought into a new order of existence. Paul captures it this way: *“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…” (Galatians 2:20).* The concluding portion says, *“…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God….”* This is the distinct, divine life of the new man in Christ.

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - Revelation 1:18*
*“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Imagine a notorious prison everyone feared because once you were locked in, there was no coming out. Then a champion walked in, defeated the rogue warden, and came out holding the keys. That’s what Jesus did with death.

As a result of Adam’s disobedience, the Bible says death came upon all men *(Romans 5:12).* Death was associated with Satan, and so, when Adam committed high treason back in the Garden of Eden by obeying Satan, death began to work in every man. Thus, the devil gained liberty to afflict men with sickness, disease, destruction and ultimately death at his will.

Until Jesus came, Satan had the keys of death. The Bible lets us know that men and women were all their lifetime subject to bo***ge because of the fear of death. But Jesus put an end to that through His victory over death and the grave and liberated all men from the fear of death: *”In as much then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bo***ge” (Hebrews 2:14-15).*

Jesus went right into hell, the devil’s territory, and obtained from him the keys of death and hell! He dealt with the problem of death when He triumphantly rose from the dead and ushered man into a new lease of life. Thus, today, anyone who is born again need not fear death, for death has been defeated by Jesus. It’s the last enemy that will be destroyed *(1 Corinthians 15:26),* but already it’s been defeated. Today, Satan can no longer take anybody’s life at will because he doesn’t have the power anymore. All he can do now is talk big, try to scam you with lies, or hope you make bad choices that hurt yourself.

Dearly beloved, death has been defeated! You have the right today as a young man or woman of authority to refuse to allow death strike anywhere around you. Jesus completely bankrupted the devil by taking his keys, and He gave you the authority to keep Satan, sin, and death in their place—under your feet. Glory, Hallelujah!

🔊 *SPEAK*
*I have authority and power over death. Death and everything associated with it has no place in and around me, for I am a life-giving spirit. I have the power to rebuke death and raise the dead because Jesus defeated death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.*

📖 *His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it" (John 2:5)*

According to the Bible, Jesus' first miracle happened at a wedding in Cana. When they ran out of wine, Mary told the servants, *"Whatever He says to you, do it " (John 2:5).* Jesus asked them to fill large pots with water. It didn't seem to make sense, but they obeyed. As soon as they followed His instruction, the water turned into the best wine! *(John 2:1-11).*

Another time, Jesus told Peter to catch a fish and informed him to use a coin in its mouth to pay for their taxes *(Matthew 17:27).* Peter obeyed, and it happened just as Jesus had said.

God's Word always works. When He gives you an instruction, listen and do it quickly. As you act on His Word, you'll see wonderful results because the Word will produce what it says.
