THE GREAT PHYSICIAN
(Lk 4:14-19)

Hymn: The Great Physician now is near

One of the prominent miracles and demonstration of power of Jesus Christ while on earthly ministry is HEALING. Jesus healed the lame; He healed fever, withered hand, opened eyes of the blind, created sight for the boy born without eyes. He healed the broken hearted and many more. This is a confirmation of the word of God in Acts 10:38, and Isa 61:1-3.

Jesus can heal all manners of sicknesses and diseases in the body whether the skin, flesh, veins, bones, body organs including heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, bladder, intestine, womb, eyes, brain and any other. Mk 8:22-26, Matt 8:5-13, Jn 5:2-9. Everywhere He went the power of God was present to heal Lk 5:17.

Some of those whom Jesus Healed
- The woman with ceaseless flow (issue) of blood – Matt 9:20-22
- The man with unclean spirit at the tomb – Mk 5:1-13, Lk 4:33-35
- He raised the dead daughter of one of the leaders of the synagogue and healed her- Matt 9:18-19, 23-25

He empowered prophets in the Old Testament to heal
- Elisha healed Naaman – 2 Kings 5:1-14
- Moses made fiery (serpent of brass) and the Israelite bitten by snakes were healed – Num 21:1-9
- Abraham prayed for Miriam and her leprosy was healed - Num 12:1-15
- Jeroboam’s shrivelled hand was restored – 1 Kings 13:4-6
- Hezekiah was healed and delivered from death – 2 Kings 20:1-7

Jesus anointed His disciples to heal
- He gave power to heal – Matt 10:1
- Peter healed the lame by the beautiful gate – Acts 3:1-10
- There was healing of diverse sicknesses (miracle galore) by the disciples – Acts 5:16
- Pastors, elders of the church are anointed and empowered to heal – James 5 :15&16

Jesus, the Great Physician has promised to heal hence He will heal. The Great Physician will heal all your sicknesses and diseases Ex 15:26b, Deut 7:15, Jer 30:17a, Mal 4:2.

Jesus can heal individual, marriage, family, business, ministry, and the land.
Deadly pottage was cure/healed 2 Kings 4:38-41; Moses healed bitter water of Marah; and Elisha healed dead water of Jericho 2 Kings 2:19-22. Therefore there is an assurance that God will heal our land.

Every nation in the similitude of Isa 1:1-7 will be healed, and be transformed to the land in Isa 62:4.
There shall no more be infant death
There shall no more be r**e and brutality
There shall no more be corruption, marginalisation and nepotism
There shall no more be kidnap, armed banditry, insurgence, and insecurity
There shall no more be unemployment, hunger, lack and poverty.
But God require us all from leadership to followership to repent, return to Him the He will heal our land.

Jesus the Great Physician, Yaweh of Judah will locate you, and all yours; He will heal completely and make whole.

Sunday Message Excerpts
Theme: JOY COMETH (Part 2)
Text: Psalms 30:5

God has plans for everything. Nothing happens by accident in the agenda of God. That is why there is time and season for everything. (Eccl 3:1-8).

Bible say in Job 30:5, ‘For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning’.

Therefore in the school of the bible, night time is the season of weeping, time when the wicked plot wickedness Matt 13:25. Thank God, the period of weeping is over. Therefore joy cometh.

We already enunciated two points in the previous message, therefore we will continue from there.

3) Weeping comes as a forerunner of joy. That is why:
- Weeping comes before joy
- Pain comes before gain
- Examination comes before promotion
- Trial comes before testimony
- Mockery comes before miracle
- Failure comes before success – (Lk 5:1-10)

There are times you pass through miserable to acquire desirable.

Bible says, in this world you will face tribulations John 16:33, Dan 3:1-30, Dan 6:1-28, 2 Kings 4:1-7

4) Weeping attracts God’s attention – Ps 34:15,17-18, Ps 10:18, Ps 145:18-19

* The wife of the sons of the prophets cried to God through prophet Elisha and got divine intervention (2 Kings 4:1-7)

* Hannah cried to God at Shiloh and became mother of children – 1 Sam 1:9-10

* The children of Israel cried to God in Egypt, God heard their voice and sent Moses to deliver them – Ex 3:7&8.

It is important to beware of who you cry to. Some cry to their parents, while some cry to relatives, or friends, colleagues, or government for help yet they are disappointed. Man may promise but fail, give you napkin to wipe your tears but it may not cease the flow of tears. It is a curse to put your trust in man – Jer 17:5. But God will dry the tears and help you out of the situation – Rev 21:4

Rather put your trust in God like Hannah and others.
Jesus is our Advocate - Ps 121:1
He is the present help in trouble – Ps 46:1
He is the Helper of the helpless – Isa 41:10, 13

What is it that causes you to weep?
Did you fail an examination?
Did you fail in business?
Did you suffer disappointment?
Did you lose something or someone precious?
Are you experiencing paucity of finance?
Are you having challenges in marriage?
Are you sick, lonely, rejected or depressed?
Is yours delayed marriage or fruitfulness?

Look up to Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith He will end your weeping and command joy into your life. Amen

Sunday Message Excerpts
Theme: JOY COMETH (Part 1)
Text: Psalms 30:5

"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning"

Eccl 3:1-8 tells us that there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

For instance:
Time to be born, and time to die
Time to plant, and time to pluck
Time to kill, and time to heal
Time to break down, and time to build up
Time to weep, and time to laugh (Verse )

An understanding of the scripture above tells that there will be a time to weep. For instance, COVID-19 world pandemic that led to lockdown brought pains, fears, tears, and weeping to many all over the world. That was a time of confusion and panic, however, after lockdown comes leaping up. It is a season of joy as result of freedom and peace.

The scripture says weeping may endure for a night. Just as tears, fears, failure, disappointment, sorrow, weeping are all products the night. However, according to the word of God it says they can only last for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Joy cometh can be seen and taken as an announcement.
Joy cometh can be a revelation of what God is about to do.

Therefore for anyone suffering and or weeping it is good news that joy cometh as it is written in 2 Cor :17, ‘For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’.

When you consider a pregnant woman she suffers pain especially at the point of child birth during delivery. Many suffer sweat, pains and tears but as soon as the baby is delivered the atmosphere changes to moment of joy. Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.

There are a few things to learn from the bible passage:
There is night time, and day or morning time.
There is weeping, after which comes joy.

I pray God will terminate your weeping. He will wipe away your tears, and you shall weep no more Isa 30:19. Your season of joy is here in Jesus name.

Causes of weeping.

DELAY– delayed marriage, delayed fruitfulness, delayed employment, delayed reward and compensation, delayed promotion, delayed admission, and delayed graduation. Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and others suffered delay and as result of this they wept until God answered their prayers then weeping was terminated and joy replaced weeping. Every delay causing you to weep is terminated in your life today in Jesus name.

LOSS — This could be the loss of loved one Jn 11:11-44, loss of valuables, or properties 1 Sam 30:1-end. By divine intervention there was recovery and restoration that replaced weeping with joy and jubilation 1 Sam 30:18-20, Deut 34:8. God will recover for you and restore all your godly losses.

From today, you shall weep no more. Your season of joy has come in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Message Excerpts
October 2020 Thanksgiving Service
Theme: Let God Arise
Text: Psalms 68:1-4
Preacher: Pastor Adeboye

When God arises, several things could happen.
It is my prayer that God will arise for you, your family, your nation and the church.

When God arises, stagnation comes to an end.
Exodus 3:1-5

When God arises, there will be a way where there was no way before.
Exodus 14:1-28.

Everyone of you listening to me today, God will arise for you. Where they said there was no way for you before, ways will open.

When God arises, it doesn’t matter who set up the blockade between you and your destiny, the blockade will be removed.
Joshua 5:13-6:20.

In a manner you cannot imagine, God will send help to you.
By next Sunday as God lives, everything blocking your way will be destroyed.
Judges 14:5-6

Any enemy trying to choke you to death, God will tear them into two.
Every lion trying to choke you, your children and destiny, the Lord will tear them into two.

Anyone who is pretending to be your friend and is planning to hug you to death, God will arise and destroy them.

If there is any friend trying to destroy you, God will arise today and expose them.

When God arises;
1 Samuel 17:1-51
David and Goliath.
I’m standing on this altar today, to decree in the Name that is above every other name, any terrorist and any sponsor of terrorists in Nigeria, will not see the new year.

Daniel 3
If God will arise for you, what was meant to destroy you will lead to your promotion.

When God arises;
1) Your enemies will fail.
2) They will be confused.
3) They will be put to shame.
4) You will be promoted.

Let God arise and His enemies will be scattered. Those who trust Him will rejoice.

How do you get God to arise?

Praise Him.

If you praise the Almighty God, He will arise.

Example is the story of Paul and Silas..

Today, I want you to praise God. Use your mouth to praise God so much, and He will arise on your behalf.

Stay blessed.
