What an irreplaceable loss. What a privilege it was to know you, Baba.
I first stepped into your compound in the year 2003, and meeting you brought me great joy. You were truly a giver of joy—a lovin@g spiritual father, mentor, and a man with a kind heart.
Whenever I cried to you, you gave me a listening ear, words of wisdom, and prayers. Those moments remain precious memories to me.
You honoured us with your presence at our church on Bemil Office Street in the year 2022, and in the year 2023, you came again to celebrate my birthday with us in church. These are memories I will forever cherish.
Earlier this year, 2026, you told me that the Spirit of the Lord directed that you should pray for me on my birthday. Although you could not make it that day, on the 19th of June 2026, you came to pray for me and for the church, just as the Spirit of God had directed you.
Today, I realise how precious that moment was. I did not know it would become one of my final memories with you.
Thank you, Baba, for the prayers, counsel, encouragement, prophetic words and fatherly love. Thank you for allowing God to use your life to touch and bless many of us.
The Scripture says:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
You fought your fight, ran your race, and served your generation faithfully.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the assurance that:
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord... that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” — Revelation 14:13
Your works, prayers, teachings and memories will continue to speak.
May God comfort and strengthen the family and everyone you have left behind.
Rest peacefully in the Lord, Baba.
