One of the most profound sermons that transformed my life years back was "As COMMANDED not as CONVENIENT" by Rev. Maxwell C. Godwin.

It spiritually tribal marked my soul and my work with God.

It was a clear call to the fact that, christians are called to work, and walk this journey as commanded and demanded by scriptures, in and out of seasons and not as convenient for us.

We are called to live a life regimented by the scriptures wrapped up in love.

When as Christians we don't understand the convenant is to be obeyed as commanded, we find ourselves with unrestrained tongues speaking to everyone and everything as our emotions demanded.

Unrestricted actions and reactions in our daily journeys also takes the day.
John 14:15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

We then result to making decisions, alliances based on our convenience claiming "that's my truth", "that's how I feel" as against what the Bible describes and demanded.

Lack of this consciousness keeps breeding different expressions of uncircumcised, uncensored cannanity in words and in deed.

When we throw away scriptural demands as restraints for all we do and say, anarchy will enter different areas of our lives and our conscience goes into coma, unable to communicate what is SINFUL to us again. SELAH

Let's daily ask for the grace to run this race as COMMANDED and not as CONVENIENT...because the flesh wants to keep us down there..

In the journey of Becoming, King David is a good reflection of this and it's applicable to all.

At about the age of 15, prophet Samuel anointed him for the first time as the king of Israel before his father and brothers in 1 Samuel 16:1-13.

This was the beginning of the Becoming of David as King over Israel because, who you will become starts with revelation from God.

We didn't know what David's dream was before the divine interruption. Probably, he had plan to just be the wealthiest shepherd in his time and a great worshipper. But God showed up and changed the trajectory.

Even Jesse did not have an idea that God's favor was upon his home through his last son whom history says was a bastard.

Many are trying to BECOME who they think or who was portrayed before them by the possibilities available to them.

Who are you trying to BECOME????
WHO INITIATED IT????

Romans 12: 1-2, Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
[2] Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

The process of becoming is a journey of total mind transformation.

Life is full of too many opinions especially in this dispensation. Individuals who intend to BECOME who he/she is meant to be per season gets intentional about it.

You must know where you are coming from, where you are at now, and where you are going to. This defines your all round engagement with people and activities alike.

Refining to become the porters standard per time does not come cheap.

There is a price to pay daily, gradually, precept upon precept but consistently.

Receive grace to keep becoming, amen.

GOD'S blessings have been released long ago but manifestations is what we all clamor for.

As a responsible father, God knows the version of us that's best fit for every seasonal manifestation.

'BECOMING' that version releases the blessing and not becoming withhold the blessing. God is never the problem, man is.

However, as being of WILL, you can cooperate with Him or not. You can be serious with your training or not.

It's looks like do it at your pace kind of Program except in few cases when God enforces certain things.

He gave you will, he won't intrude.
But you are encouraged to choose right because serious students set a target even when the rule says do it at your pace.

We want it ALL, but we don't want "TO BECOME IT" because of the rigor of the process.

The pain of the process gives us POWER.

Receive grace to keep growing.

Last year November while meditating, the HOLYSPIRIT spoke to me and said, my prayer points are too many🙄. Lord, what??? I thought I was asking for a few things 😂, contented child of God, so, I thought.
He then said that, all I need to do is "BECOME". He further explained that, there is a person I need to become in this season, and the person attracts the long prayer points and much more. Thank you HOLYSPIRIT.
