IGBO PROVERB FOR TODAY

****A DỊGHỊ ANỌ N'ELU ANỊ AMỤTA KA E SI EGWU MMIRI ***

(If you want to learn how to swim, there must be a time when you must get into the water)

i. No matter how beautiful your vision and dream may be, they will come to naught if you do not get to the level of starting.

ii. People who are known for boasting and talking too much are often little doers and poor achievers.

iii. One of the reasons why many people do not get far in their lives is fear of failure.

iv. The possibility of getting killed in a battle has never stopped people from going to war.

IGBO PROVERB FOR TODAY

*** IHE Ọ MASỊRỊ ỤCHỊCHA YA BURU
NA MMA NA EGBÈ, YA AGAFEKWANA N'IHU BE ỌKỤKỌ ***

(No matter the size and quantity of w3apons carried by the cocroach, let him always avoid passing through the frontage of the house of the fowl)

Meaning:

i. Choose your battles wisely. Over-confidence can lead to us self-destruction and expensive reckless miscalculations.

ii. Any enemy can do a great harm especially when he is underrated. Avoidance is better option than valour.

iii. We must always try to avoid taking battles to an enemy before whom we do not stand any chance.

iv. Strongest man does not exist anywhere. It all depends on what you rely on whether money, power/position, human support or w3apon. But not to properly estimate the strength of the enemy is naivety and dangerous.
