OH MY NIGERIA!

Oh My Nigeria!
It hasn't escaped my knowledge
Of how broken down your hedge has become
Of how, many have come into your farmland
And stolen all that is yours
They have left you naked and hungry
Making you go into starvation and penury
Hence, you knocking on the gates of expiration has become your identity.
You have become a Shadow of your Glorious Self
Taking the back Shelf in the Library of Nations
Several times, You tried getting back on your feet
In order to achieve the great feats you were destined
But your every effort to get back on your feet was crippled by selfish men
Who only sought their bellies and the bellies of those that came out of their own bellies...
How you my Nigeria tried rising by getting help from other nations
You borrowed to grow back your land
But the men you hired to care for your land
Ended up stealing all that you have borrowed
Leaving your FARMLAND to die and become a ghost land no one wanted to be found in...
Your own children started leaving you
Seeking greener pastures
You wouldn't blame them!
As they needed to survive.
Your land was no longer green for them
Unlike the colour of your flag
But the downside to this
Is that...
As your children found food in other men's land
They gave their strength to that land
They used their youth to work with great efforts to see that the land they were eating from Strove....
Consequently,
You my Nigeria Started dying out
For the brightest of your children,
The strongest of your children
Had bailed out.
A great number of them are not around anymore to encourage you to rise again....
But MY NIGERIA
I am still here,
We are still here
Some by Choice
Others by No Choice
Still Planting
Surviving on some of your grains left
Believing there is still some good left
Like many others, I choose to stay and encourage you My Nigeria
I believe you can rise again
I remember, Apostle Paul
When he was stoned and those who stoned him thought he was dead left him,
His brethren came around him
And Encouraged him to get back on his feet
From them he received strength to rise again!
My Nigeria!
I speak Strength to you right now!
Nigeria! Come Alive ! In Jesus Name
Nigeria! Receive your healing
Nigeria! May We your inhabitants receive Wisdom and strength needed to help you get back on your feet!
Nigeria! Grow again!
Nigeria be rid of the Vampires sucking you dry!
Nigeria be rid of the selfish men.
Nigeria! May your children who have started looking for terrible means to survive receive God's touch in their hearts
May the Father have mercy on the Land for the many bloodshed and atrocities Committed Day and Night!
May Jesus Spread to all corners of the country
Bringing you out of darkness into His Marvelous Light!
May the HolySpirit move upon the Face of your Land and give you, My Nigeria a New Face!
May you Nigeria receive genuine help from Other Nations.
May your Children return to encourage and Nurse you again back to healing.
And May you MY NIGERIA blossom and be GREEN again like the colour of your Flag in Jesus Name.
