*BIBLICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE EIGHTH MONTH*
_Hebrew Calendar: "Cheshvan" / "Bul"_
In the Bible, months are counted from Nisan which means the 1st month. So the *8th month means Cheshvan/Bul*.
*7 KEY SIGNIFICANCES*
1. *MONTH OF RAIN AND NEW BEGINNINGS*
The early rains usually began in Cheshvan. It marked God watering the earth for a new agricultural year.
_Ref_: Deuteronomy 11:14 - "the early rain and the latter rain"
2. *MONTH THE ARK DOOR WAS CLOSED*
Noah and his family entered the ark in the 2nd month, and *on the 17th day of the 2nd month* the flood began. *Exactly 5 months later, on the 17th day of the 7th month* the ark rested. Then *on the 1st day of the 10th month* mountaintops appeared. The *8th month* was in the middle of God preserving Noah — a month of safety and judgment.
_Ref_: Genesis 7:11, Genesis 8:4-5
3. *MONTH SOLOMON LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE TEMPLE*

_Ref_: 1 Kings 12:32-33
5. *MONTH OF REBUKE AND CALL TO REPENTANCE*
God’s word came to Israel through prophets in Cheshvan calling them back. It was a month where God warned before winter judgment came.
_Ref_: Jeremiah 36:9,22 - King Jehoiakim burned the scroll "in the ninth month", but the reading started in the 8th/9th month season.
6. *MONTH OF WAITING ON GOD*
Between the Feast of Tabernacles in month 7 and Hanukkah/Kislev in month 9, Cheshvan had no major feast. Rabbis call it "Mar Cheshvan" - bitter, because no feast. Biblically it teaches seasons of quiet faith and trust between celebrations.
_Ref_: Pattern seen in Ezra/Nehemiah — rebuilding happened in ordinary months too.
7. *PROPHETIC THEME: GOD SHUTS AND GOD OPENS*
Like God shut the ark door in a month near the 8th, and like Solomon finished the foundation in the 8th, it speaks of God sealing what He started and preparing for the next phase.

BIBLICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SIXTH MONTH:
- Significance: Month of Repentance, Reflection, and “Return ” to God. You May Call it a Period When “the King is in the field” God is Seen as Near and Accessible.
The “sixth Month” in the Bible Depends On the Calendar Used. Hebrews Had 2 Calendars:
The Sixth Month = Elul ~ Aug/Sept On Our Calendar, Elul is the Month Before Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
- Biblical tie: Moses Went Up Mt. Sinai to Get the 2nd Set of Tablets During Elul. 40 Days from 1st Elul to Yom Kippur = Repentance Period
- Significance: Month of Joy and Deliverance.
Sixth Month = Adar ~ Feb/March
- Biblical tie: Book of Esther. The Plot to Destroy Jews Was Set for 13th Adar, but God Turned it Around. Purim is Celebrated 14-15 Adar to Remember the Victory. Esther 9:1 “On the Thirteenth Day Of the Twelfth Month, the Month of Adar... The Jews Gained Mastery Over those Who Hated them.”
Sixth Month Of Pregnancy / Events
- Luke 1:26 “In the Sixth Month, God Sent the Angel Gabriel to Nazareth... To a Virgin... and the Virgin’s Name Was Mary.” → The Month Gabriel Announced Jesus’ Birth to Mary. Start of the Incarnation.
- Haggai 1:1 “In the Sixth Month, On the First Day of the Month, the Word of the Lord Came... to Zerubbabel” → Time When God Stirred Israel to Rebuild the Temple After Exile. Month of New Beginnings + Rebuilding.
Big Theme: The 6th Month Often Shows Up as a Turning Point — Repentance, Deliverance, Divine Announcement, and Rebuilding.
Month Of July is the Reset Month/Month of Feasts/Month With High Holy Days/Month of Harvest & Thanksgiving/Month of Divine Encounters & Temples/The Month of Repentance & New Beginnings/Prophetic End-Time Month/Month of Joy After Testing
Days Of July to Observe:
(1.)1st Day Of the 7th Month as the
Day Of the Trumpets for Wake-up Call
(2.)On the Tenth Day of the Seventh Month as a Day Of Atonement for Cleansing and Solemn Rest
(3.)On the Fifteenth Day Of the Seventh Month as the Day that Starts Off the Seven Days Retreat at the Tabernacle (Feast Of Tabernacles)
Lev 23:34 - "On the fifteenth day of this seventh month... you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days"
(Lev 23:33-36 The Message Bible) God said to Moses: "Tell the People of Israel, God's Feast of Booths begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. It lasts seven days. The first day is a sacred assembly; don't do any ordinary work. Offer Fire-Gifts to God for seven days. On the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and offer a gift to God. It is a solemn convocation. Don't do any ordinary work.
Feast Of Tabernacles is the Final harvest of the year, when Israel brought in fruits, grapes, olives. Exodus 23:16 - "the feast of ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labors"
Leviticus 23:39 - "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land..."
BIBLICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 7TH MONTH 🌾📖
In Hebrew calendar, July means Tishrei. In our Gregorian calendar it’s usually Sept/Oct
The 7th month is God’s “reset month” in the Bible. Here are 7 key reasons + scriptures:
1. THE MONTH OF REST & SABBATH (SOLEMN REST):
Biblical term: Ethanim/Tishrei is the 7th month, and the 1st day of the 7th month = the day of Trumpets
Significance: Number 7 signifies completion, rest, perfection, and God rested on the 7th day.
Reference: Leviticus 23:24-25 - "In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets"
2. THE MONTH OF FEASTS/MONTH WITH HIGH HOLY DAYS :
Three major feasts packed into 1 month. No other month has this density.
References:
- Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah: Lev 23:24 - New year, blowing shofars, wake-up call
- Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur: Lev 16:29-30, Lev 23:27 - "On the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a day of solemn rest"
- Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot: Lev 23:34 - "On the fifteenth day of this seventh month... you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days"
The Tabernacles signifies joy in God’s presence.
Reference: Deuteronomy 16:14-15 - "You shall rejoice in your feast... for the Lord your God will bless you... and you shall be altogether joyful"
3. THE MONTH OF HARVEST & THANKSGIVING:
Significance: Final harvest of the year. Israel brought in fruits, grapes, olives.
Reference: Exodus 23:16 - "the feast of ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labors"
Leviticus 23:39 - "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land..."
4. THE MONTH OF DIVINE ENCOUNTERS & TEMPLES:
God showed up big in the 7th month.
References:
- Solomon’s Temple dedicated: 1 Kings 8:2 - "So all the men of Israel assembled before King Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month"
- Second Temple foundation laid: Ezra 3:6 - "From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord"
5. THE MONTH OF REPENTANCE & NEW BEGINNINGS:
Significance: Trumpets = wake-up call/ Atonement = cleansing/ Tabernacles = God dwelling with man.
Reference: Nehemiah 8:2 - "So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly... on the first day of the seventh month"
6. PROPHETIC END-TIME MONTH:
Significance/Reference: Many scholars link 7th month feasts to Christ’s 2nd coming(End-Time) because in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - "the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God" → Trumpets feast
Zechariah 14:16 - Nations will celebrate Feast of Booths/Tabernacles in future
7. THE MONTH OF JOY AFTER TESTING:
warning/testing and trials preceeds the day of trumpets(1st day of the 7th month), brokenness preceeds atonement(day of cleansing/solemn rest)
7th MONTH PRAYER POINT:
"Lord, Like Israel in Tishrei/Ethanim, Let this be Our Month Of Trumpets for the Great Awakenings, a Month of Atonement On Solemn Restful Season for You to Wash Us Clean, and through the Washing Of the Water Of Your Words Oh Our Savior and Our Redeemer, Let it be Our Month of Tabernacles for Your Presence to Dwell in Us Abundantly With Joy Of Salvation ICJMN AMEN 🙏."
