Allahu Akbar
READ IT! THERE IS SOMETHING BENEFICIAL FOR YOU IN IT IN SHAA ALLAH.
This is a true story.
It is about a housemaid who used to go into the bathroom to squeeze her breast milk out. What happened between her and her employer’s wife?
Come closer and listen, people.
This story will only be believed by someone who has faith in Allah and what His Messenger (peace be upon him) came with.
A brother of mine lives in a village called Hariymila, close to the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
There was a woman who was diagnosed with leukemia (blood cancer)—may Allah protect us from such illnesses.
Because of her condition, she needed a housemaid. So a maid was found for her—an Indonesian woman who was religious, had good character, and was well-mannered.
After about a week of working, the sick woman noticed the maid frequently spent a long time in the bathroom and kept going back and forth there.
One day, she asked the maid why she spent so much time in the bathroom.
The maid burst into intense tears.
The woman then asked why she was crying so deeply.
The maid replied: "I left behind a baby who is only 20 days old, just to work for you because of the financial need we have back home. The reason I stay long in the bathroom is that my breasts get full of milk, and I have to squeeze it out to relieve the pain and swelling."
The woman was shocked and moved by the maid’s condition. Immediately, she made arrangements for the maid to return home to Indonesia.
She also paid her two years’ worth of salary in advance.
Then she told the maid: “Here is your salary for two years. Go back home to your child, breastfeed him, and take care of him. If you wish, you can come back to work with us after two years.”
She gave her the phone number to stay in touch.
After the maid left...
The woman had a scheduled appointment with the doctor for further examination regarding her cancer.
When her blood was tested, the doctor was shocked—there was no sign of leukemia in her blood anymore!
To be sure, the doctor ordered the test to be repeated multiple times.
Each time, the result was the same: she no longer had blood cancer.
The doctor was stunned and amazed by her recovery...
He asked her if she had used any treatment or medication.
She replied: "The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him):
'Heal your sick ones through charity (sadaqah).'"
I hope whoever reads this story now intends to give charity after reading it.
You never know—Allah might protect you from a major calamity through your act of charity.
"Give charity, for the shroud has no pockets."
The first charity you can give is to share this story—if you’re able. And if you don’t, know that Allah is sufficient without your sharing.
This is just a small glimpse of the power of charity.
O Allah, grant us the ability to obey Your commands through the teachings of Your Prophet (peace be upon him).
Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.
