JULY 26, 1959: A GREAT TREE FELL IN CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH

Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola lived on earth as every normal human being. He had basic education, worked with a construction firm, answered a call into the ministry, do the work of field evangelism and counseling, had other evangelist working with him, got married to one wife, and his marriage was blessed with children, and died a natural death in the special room allocated to him by BABA ABIYE in EDE town.

He was fondly called BABA ABIYE by his wife, and he in-turn called his wife IYA ABIYE. A father of four children, all female, with many adopted children he catered for until his death. A man fully sold out to the work of His father with just a bell, bottle of water and bible in his hands, spreading the gospel to many communities earlier ruled by principalities and powers of darkness, ministering healing to the sick, lame, blind, deaf, raising the dead, winning many to Christ Jesus, including the then king of Efon Alaye, OBA ALADEJARE, where he adopted the king's daughter after his demise.

For many years of his ministry, he will treck miles in the early hour of the day, to arrive in communities where he want to minister to people, crossing from one city to another, before God bless him with a car in 1953. He hardly eat, even when he's not fasting, but usually emback on fast and prayer on weekly and monthly basis, without missing the 40days fast during lent period of every year. During his lifetime, he had nothing to himself, and after his death, all he left behind were taken away by his fellow men in the ministry, all in the name of taking mantle. A good accountant añd record keeper, as he document every money given to him by people as OWO OLUWA, and every of his movement fully documented too in his diary in those days. He was a father of many, as his house in Efon Alaye witnessed in-flocks of men and women, young and old, day-in, day-out, until his death.

One thing that marveled me was, himself prophesying that a GREAT TREE IN C.A.C WILL FALL. These happened during his last service in the church of his dearest brother and partner in the ministry, in the person of BABA ABIYE L'EDE. And immediately after that service, a prayer section was organised, where himself also participated. None of them was privileged to have an insight in the realm of the spirit that the great tree God talks about here is APOSTLE JOSEPH AYODELE BABALOLA.

Despite the fact that prayers are being observed in his house at every praying hours of the day, 6am, 9am,12noon, 3pm, 6pm and 9pm, whether he's at home or not, and himself was always on his knees praying for hours, where he will fast practically every week, and spent day, even weeks on mountain tops. Yet, all these didn't stop God from taking him away from the surface of the earth.

History have it that before and after him, there's no minister of God as great, powerful, fearful, prayerful, restless, lovely, simple and humble, and graced in giving as JOSEPH AYODELE BABALOLA.
In the whole record of Christ Apostolic Church, there's only one Apostle in the mission.

God uses the revival of 1930 to reveal him to the world, and his ministration touches many lives. Indeed, he was a great revivalist and intercessor of all time.

Every JULY 26th remains in the heart of many. as a faithful co-worker of God amidst the body of Christ was called home by God.

Today marks 64th year of his death. yet his work liveth in the mission, just as God liveth.

God bless his seeds
God bless C.A.C
God bless Nigeria

EDIFYING SONGS IN WORSHIP

Not all songs released by many acclaimed gospel singers today are gospel centered, and not all songs edifies. In other words, not all gospel genres songs released edifies. Hence, the need for brethren to carefully select songs ideal for worship.

Presently, we live in a world where all kinds of music tearing down morals are trending in the society, and same being aired freely on radio, tv stations, cable networks and internet. No wonder, the scripture says in 1 John 2:17a "The world is passing away, and with it lusts". Remember, we are in the world, but not of the world.

Brother Paul in Romans 14:19, brought our consciousness to the foundation of Christ love to the world, and in like manner, for us to continue to grow as we build up and edify other people with our words and actions, not to mislead.

Bishop David Oyedepo in one of his recent message to gospel singers, which went viral on Instagram and other social medium, drawn our attention to songs being released nowadays. He stressed that gospel songs no longer carries the name of Jesus Christ. Hence, fore-warned that worship music ministers should be more sensitive and careful as this is a deceit from the the pit of hell.

I sensed in my spirit that this message was not just mere man's opinion, but a revelation from God about the strategy presently being deployed by the kingdom of darkness to water-down the power behind the fulfilment of the gospel in our present time.

In addition to Papa's message to our gospel song ministers, I will also register that gospel song lyrics should not just carries the name of Jesus Christ alone, but should be scripture-based.

As a token of AWE MUSIC contribution to the advancement and promotion of genuined worship music that is scripture and/or gospel based amidst the folds of Christ, we took out time to review few upcoming individuals genuinely called into worship music ministry.

And I'm please to reveal to us, one of the few chosen out of many called by the Master; TEMMY OLUWALESE, a minister of God in songs for over 15years and still standing, a spirit filled, and prolific song writer, with over twenty song tracks and still counting, by the grace of God.

Kindly download, listen to, and like all songs released through her by the leading of the holy spirit on Boomplay, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, etc. and as well follow her on her Instagram and page and YouTube channel.

WORSHIP: MORE THAN A SONG

Worship is more than the melody or the instrumentation of a given song. It is more of an intimacy and fellowship between us, the worshipper, and God, the one we worship.

In year 2021, minstrel Dunsin Oyekan sang MORE THAN A SONG. The song lyrics full of logus and rhema, revealed the mind of God to every man, when it comes to true worship, a place of continuous fellowship for genuine intimacy with our father.

Offering up ourselves as the main sacrifice of worship fosters a great bond between us and our heavenly father.

Father Abraham, a man full of grace, willingly yielded himself to God in full obedience by offering Isaac, his first covenant cm promise child as sacrifice, in Genesis 22:1-12, before God make a divine provision instead.

These revealed to us the actual desire of God when it comes to His worship, which centered on man as the greatest sacrifice. Also, God usually want man to offer to Him in worship what he, man cherished most, and that is man's life.

Little wonder, brother Paul admonishes us in Romans 12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service".

Hence, let this mind be in us that whenever we offer our life in worship, we stand the chance of sharing in God's glory, and we will come out of His presence being refreshed and renewed, thereby building a strong intimacy with our creator while we fellowship, which is the main essence of man's first existence in the garden of Eden, fulfilling the mind of God for creations.

God be praised!
