02/06/2021
We have started ticking the days in the (6th) month of June, as we tick the months in the year 2021. A fact that is never in doubt is the faithfulness (Deuteronomy 7: 9) and compassion (Psalm 86: 15) of God Almighty towards His Beloved. We position ourselves to enjoy the benefits of His faithfulness and compassion when we continuously demonstrate our love for Him and keep His commandments (Nehemiah 1: 5). God Himself is love and we cannot claim to love Him when we withhold such from fellow humans (1 John 4: 7-8, 20-21). We know and love the Apostle and High Priest of our Faith, Jesus Christ, only when we keep His commandments and abide by His words (1 John 2: 3-6; John 14: 15; John 15: 14).
No doubt we are in challenging times in our dear country Nigeria. There are security challenges and the economy of the country and homes is being put to serious test day by day. The only direction to look is Above and the only One to look up to is God Almighty (Psalm 121: 1-2). Deliverance and salvation comes from the Lord (Psalm 3: 8; Isaiah 25: 9). We need to continuously call upon the Lord and seek His face for the sake of our country and ourselves (Romans 10: 13; Psalm 50: 15). However, never should we forget that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14: 34) and that we cannot as a people and a nation continue in sin and ask that the grace of God abound (Romans 6: 1-2). We all have roles to play in revamping the fortunes of our dear country Nigeria and making life meaningful to ourselves and our fellow Nigerians. Let us always be conscious of our actions and inactions and the impact of such on our nation and people. Commit to doing the will of God Almighty always; commit to being part of the solution to the myriads of problems of the society and country, not a perpetrator; and commit to not exploiting and making life difficult for others.
In the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, I pray for you and your family, songs of praise and laughters of joy shall always be yours; more than you have laboured, you shall reap dividends, goodness and blessings abundantly; life will not be difficult and uneasy for you; no powers and principalities shall be able to derail you from The Way of the Lord and from enjoying the fullness of The Most High God; the Lord's umbrella of protection and counsel of guidance shall not be removed from you; and all the way, for you and your family, it will always be joy unspeakable, full of glory by the Lord's Grace and to His Glory, AMEN.
Remain blessed in the Lord and favoured.
HAPPY NEW MONTH.
