π SERMON THEME: βTHE END OF THE YEAR IS NOT THE END OF LIFEβ
INTRODUCTION
As we stand at the closing chapter of another year, many hearts are heavy. Some feel they have failed. Some look at what they could not achieve. Others see battles that have not yet bowed, prayers that seem unanswered, and expectations that are still hanging in the spirit.
But hear this: the end of the year is not the end of your life.
God works beyond the calendar. Heaven does not shut down on December 31st. The God who created time is not controlled by time.
Your story is not over because the year is ending β God can still write new chapters.
---
1οΈβ£ GOD DOES NOT MEASURE YOUR LIFE BY THE CALENDAR
Men count time by seconds, minutes, and years.
But God counts time by seasons.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
βTo everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.β
The fact that your breakthrough didn't come in March, June, or September does not mean it cannot come in a moment. God is not late β He is strategic.
The woman with the issue of blood suffered for 12 years, yet one encounter ended her pain.
The man at the pool of Bethesda waited 38 years, yet one visit from Jesus rewrote his destiny.
Your year may look wasted, but your life is not wasted.
---
2οΈβ£ GOD SAVES THE BEST FOR LAST
God is a God who surprises people at the last moment.
Matthew 20:6
βAnd about the eleventh hourβ¦β
Even at the 11th hour, God still blessed the workers.
This means God can still bless you at the 31st hour, 59th minute, 59th second of the year.
As long as you are alive, heaven still has plans.
---
3οΈβ£ DELAY IS NOT DENIAL
Sometimes what looks like delay is God preparing something bigger.
Joseph waited YEARS, yet one night moved him from prison to palace.
Hannah waited YEARS, yet Samuel became a prophet that changed a nation.
Sarah waited YEARS, yet Isaac became a covenant child.
The end of the year is only a page turning β not the story finishing.
---
4οΈβ£ YOUR LIFE IS STILL IN GODβS HANDS
People may have counted you out.
Life may have disappointed you.
Friends may have forgotten you.
But God has not abandoned you.
Jeremiah 29:11
βFor I know the thoughts that I think toward youβ¦ thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.β
Your expected end is not tied to December β it is tied to Godβs purpose.
---
5οΈβ£ WHAT GOD DID NOT DO THIS YEAR, HE CAN DO NEXT YEAR β AND EVEN BETTER
There are blessings designed for your next season.
There are testimonies designed for the time ahead.
There are doors that will open because you grew stronger this year.
Isaiah 60:22
βWhen the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.β
If it has not happened yet, then the time is not wasted β the time is only preparing you.
---
6οΈβ£ END OF THE YEAR IS A TIME OF REFLECTION, NOT REGRET
Donβt close the year with bitterness.
Donβt close the year with self-blame.
Donβt close the year thinking you are a failure.
This year may have been painful, but it also made you wiser.
This year may have stretched you, but it also strengthened your foundation.
This year may not have given you what you wanted, but it prepared you for what is coming.
The spirit of God moves strongly at the end of every season.
A shift happens when a year closes.
This is the moment to speak into your future, seal your destiny, and break any cycle that wants to repeat.
God says the best is still ahead.
Job 8:7
βThough your beginning was small, yet your latter end should greatly increase.β
Your latter end is bigger than your former year.
CONCLUSION
The end of the year is not the end of hope.
Not the end of grace.
Not the end of possibility.
And certainly not the end of what God will do with your life.
If God kept you alive, it means He is not finished with you yet. The year may end, but Godβs mercy continues. The calendar may close, but heavenβs agenda continues. Your story is still unfolding β and the next chapter will be greater.
