*_Dying Daily A Must For A Child Of God...Part One_*
*Text:* Ephesians 4:21-32
*Key Verse*
1Cor.15.31 - I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

All children of God are expected to know that there is constant battle between flesh and spirit. The flesh doesn't want us to fulfill the desire of the spirit while the spirit also doesn't want us to fulfill the desire of the flesh.

The flesh is of the devil while the spirit is of God. But as children of God, the only way to overcome the flesh (satanic activity) is dying daily (obeying the word of God at all times).

Dying daily isn't physical activity anyone can engage in by self power or ability. It is receiving help from the Holy Spirit to control one's desires and thoughts. It is also staying away from worldliness and from sin generally.

Anyone who wants to reign with Christ Jesus must die everyday. It is also forsaking anything that will not make God to increase.

*There Are Three Types Of Death*
*1. The physical death:* It is when God takes His spirit that connects body and soul together. It is every human that will experience it.
*2. The spiritual death:* This is eternal death in hell. It is for those who reject Jesus as Savior and those who allow sin to reign in their mortal bodies. They didn't live holy for God.
*3. The death to self:* It is telling the flesh that you are not interested in its desires anymore. And you no longer walk in the devil's way but in God's.

Galatians 5:18-25 tell us about the flesh and its works, the spirit and its works too.
Anyone who seeks to die daily doesn't permit sin again in their body but living in holiness and righteousness at all times.

Dying Daily means:
1. Hating what God hates and loving what God loves.
2. It is walking and living through biblical doctrines.
3. It is running away from malice, fornication (immorality), unbelieve, smoking, drinking alcohol, lying and etc.
4. It is making Satan cry but making God happy.
5. It is daily separation from sin and carnality embracing righteousness.
6. It is living a consistent prayer life.
7. It is being conscious of living for Christ every day.
8. It is crying to God like Paul to overcome the desires of the flesh.
9. It is studying the Bible everyday no matter the condition.

It isn't easy to die to self because personal efforts can not do it. You need the power of the Holy Spirit to help you otherwise flesh will disappoint you.

Are you still struggling with sin and don't know how be free? Kindly cry to God now. He will help you by His spirit to overcome the desires of flesh.
All children of God who desire heaven must die to self everyday. You must run away from sin and never play with it because it's more dangerous than anything you may think of on earth.

Tell God to help you if you haven't surrended to Jesus.

*_Godly Wisdom For Profitable Living_*
*Text:* Psalm 34:11-17
*Key Verse*
Ps.34.7 - The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

It is very important to live with godly wisdom so that you can be profitable in whatever you do. This will also grant you eternal security at the end of your journey here on earth.

*1. Ps.34.11*
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
If you come to Jesus today, He will always teach you things you need to know that will help you in your earthly journey. If you can listen and obey His instructions through His word (Bible) you will never regret.

*2. Ps.34.12*
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
Do you want to live long life and prosper in it? Then fear God which is the beginning of godly wisdom.

*3. Ps.34.13*
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Always bridle your tongue from speaking evil things. Don't be careless in talking, think well before you say anything. Then, never lie to anyone for any reason. Always say the truth.

*4. Ps.34.14*
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Always stay away from evil but engage in doing good things to people around you. Hide under the grace of Jesus which will help you to be peaceful anywhere you are. Hebrews 12:14

*5. Ps.34.15*
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
Always live right if you want God's eyes to be on you and His hears to hear your prayers.

*6. Ps.34.16*
The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
If you don't want God to be angry at you, stay away from wickedness. He is a consuming fire without mercy. But loves righteousness and justice.

*7. Ps.34.17*
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
God doesn't hear the cry of sinners . So live holy for God to answer you when your enemies are raging against you. It is wise to move closer to God so that He can fight your battle anytime the enemy arises.

Honestly, if you can abide by these godly wisdom, no demon can challenge you. You will fully take control of your life.
The best step to take is to accept Jesus now before it gets too late. Tell Him you are sorry and He will abundantly pardon.

In this prayer session, it's good to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection. This will go a long way helping us to have victory over the battles of life.
If you want *"The Powerful God By Your Side"* accepting Jesus and living holy are the best decisions to take at this crucial time. In other not to pray in vain, tell Him to forgive and He will do so.

14. O God, my Father, place the head of my enemy in my hand, in Jesus' name.
15. Every battle proving stubborn in my life, I locate your source and I crush it, in the name of Jesus.
16. My Father restore me to the right place you have destined for me and bless me beyond expectations in the name of Jesus.

18. Favour of God, locate me for divine change of story in the name of Jesus.

*_THE END OF PRIDE, VIOLENCE, AND IDOLATRY_*
*Text:* Nahum 3:1-10
*Key Verse*
*Nahum 3:5*
"Behold, I am against you,” says the Lord of hosts; “I will lift your skirts over your face, I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.

This is the final charge against Nineveh. God pronounced three reasons for her judgment and showed that no power could save her.
Note that when it's been long God is warning you, a day will come when judgement will catch up with you. That's why you need to sincerely repent from every unrighteousness in you.

*The Passage Is Divided Into Three Parts*

*A. THE GUILT OF NINEVEH - BLOODSHED & DECEIT*
He said woe to the bloody city which was full of lies and robbery. There were noise of whips, rattling wheels, charging horses, flashing swords, heaps of slain etc (vs 1-3). Assyria built her empire on violence, lies, and plunder. No reasonable child of God will trust in anything other than God.

*B. THE REASON FOR JUDGMENT - HARLOTRY & SORCERY*
Because of the multitude of harlotries of the seductive harlot, God came to repay her justly. Nineveh seduced nations with idolatry, immorality, and witchcraft. Then,
God said He is response against her. "I will show the nations your nakedness... I will cast abominable filth upon you."
This was for everyone who saw her would flee and discovered Nineveh to be laid waste! (vs 4-7). No one should forget that God judges sexual sin, idolatry, and manipulation. He hates sin.

*C. THE CERTAINTY OF JUDGMENT - NO ESCAPE*
Nahum compared Nineveh to *No-Amon/Thebes*, the mighty Egyptian city that fell despite being surrounded by water and strong allies. Yet she was carried away into captivity. Even her children were dashed to pieces. What a pity! (vs 8-10).
The best thing for us all is to totally repent from sin. Imagine Nineveh God had mercy upon. But later, she forgot God and allowed unrighteousness and evil to prevail. God is merciful and patient whether you will repent.

*Some Applicable Lessons For Christians Today*

1. *God Hates Violence and Injustice*
The truth is, God sees every act of oppression, fraud, and abuse. He will not bless what is built on hurting others. So have a change of heart and do right. Prov 6:16-17. Build with integrity.

2. *Sin Brings Shame and Exposure*
Secret sin will be exposed. What you do in darkness, God will bring to light. He keeps a record of everything we all do. Let's all walk in transparency. Num 32:23.

3. *Idolatry and Compromise Destroy Nations and People* Anything you put before God contrary to Christ's doctrines: whether. money, fame, relationships, rituals is idolatry. So flee from it. 1 John 5:21

4. *No City, Career, or Connection is Too Big to Fall* Don’t trust in systems, titles, or "big names" for security. Ps 33:16-17. Only God stands forever. Have a genuine encounter with Jesus not religion.

5. *God Defends His People by Judging Their Oppressors*
When you are wronged, don’t take revenge. Commit it to God as He fights for His own. Deut 32:35. Your vindication is coming soon the.

God opposes pride, violence, and idolatry, but He is a refuge for those who trust in Him. So live holy and let God fight your battles.
Not surrendering to Jesus will make it impossible to trust God and live holy for Him. This is the best time to surrender through total repentance .

3. Father go and deliver the innocent ignorant sinners before it is too late for them in Jesus name.

*_CHRIST OUR ADVOCATE AND THE CALL TO WALK AS HE WALKED_*
*Text:* 1 John 2:1-13
*Key Verse:*
1 John 2:1
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

John continued the theme from chapter 1, that fellowship with God must be real, not fake.

*The Lesson is Divided Into Four Parts*

*A. CHRIST OUR ADVOCATE*
1. But if we do sin, we are not hopeless. We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins. He paid the price. When you fall into sin, quickly run to Jesus for cleansing. (vs 1-2)

*B. OBEDIENCE IS THE PROOF OF KNOWING GOD*
1. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. Saying you know God yet disobeying Him proves you are a liar.
2. Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him.
3. He who says he abides in Him ought to walk just as He walked. Love for God is proven by obedience, not just words (vs 3-6)

*C. THE NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE*
1. The command to love is still valid because Jesus showed it perfectly.
2. He who loves his brother abides in the light. Bet he who hates his brother is in darkness. You can't claim to walk with God and still hate people (vs 7-11).

*D. WORDS OF ASSURANCE TO THREE GROUPS*
John encouraged
1. Little children that your sins are forgiven
2. Fathers that you have known God
3. Young men that you have overcome the wicked one. (vs 12-13). At every stage of faith, God gives forgiveness, knowledge, and victory

*Four Applicable Lessons For Christians Today*

1. *Jesus is Your Defense When You Fail*
Don’t stay in guilt. Confess and let Jesus speak for you. He already paid for it vs 2. Heb 7:25

2. *Obedience Proves Relationship, Not Religion*
If we keep His commandments we are children of God. Church attendance is good, but a changed life is the proof. John 14:15

3. *Walk Like Jesus Walked*
Daily ask yourself what would Jesus do in your attitude, business, family, and on social media? Eph 5:1-2

4. *Love for People Means You Are In Light. Hatred Means In Darkness*
He who loves his brother abides in the light. You cannot grow spiritually while holding offense, gossip, or bitterness. Forgive quickly. Matt 5:23-24

We prove we know God by obeying His Word, loving people, and trusting Jesus as our Advocate when we fail. Therefore, surrender to Jesus now so that He can save your soul before it gets too late for you.

*_WHEN GOD TURNS THE TABLES_*
*Text:* Nahum 2:1-13
*Key Verse*
*Nahum 2:13*
Behold, I am against you,” says the Lord of hosts, “I will burn your chariots in smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall be heard no more.

This chapter describes the siege and total destruction of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. After 100 years of cruelty against Israel and Judah, then God announced their end.

*Four Division From The Passage*

*A. THE ATTACKER COMES*
Nahum told them "He who scatters has come up before your face."
God raised up an enemy against Nineveh. While "the Lord will restore the excellence of Jacob like the excellence of Israel" (verses 1-2)

*Reflection* : What the enemy stole, God will restore

*B. THE BATTLE SCENE*
Nahum showed them the vivid picture of war:
1. Shields of mighty men are red, warriors in scarlet.
2. Chariots race madly in the streets, like torches and lightning.
3. The king calls his nobles, but they stumble.
4. The gates of the rivers are opened and the palace is dissolved. (verses 3-6)

*Reflection:* No defense can stand when God decrees judgment

*C. DESOLATION AND PLUNDER*
Nineveh was emptied, plundered, and stripped when the Lord actually came.
Hearts melt, knees knock. The city that once plundered nations was in return plundered. (verse 7-10)

*Reflection:* God becomes an enemy to anyone who makes themselves the enemy of God's people.

*D. GOD’S VERDICT ON ASSYRIA*
Nineveh was a lion’s den that tore and strangled for its cubs. But God says: "I am against you”. Meaning He will burn their chariots, cut off their prey, and silence their messengers. (verses 11-13)

*Reflection* : God will always end the reign of oppressors.

*Some Applicable Lessons For Christians Today*

1. *God Restores What the Enemy Stole*
Assyria might have taken land, people, and peace. But remember that God promises restoration. He will surely restores in due time Joel 2:25.

2. *Pride and Violence Will Not Last*
Nineveh was violent, proud, and built on bloodshed so God said, “I am against you”.
Any system, habit, or person oppressing you will fall in God’s time. Prov 16:18. But don’t partner with violence.

3. *No Fortress Can Stand Against God*
Rivers, walls, chariots, armies all failed. Stop trusting in money, connections, or power for security. Our stronghold is the Lord. Ps 20:7

4. *God Sees and Judges Injustice*
Nineveh had tormented Israel for years yet, God remembered and took revenge. If you’ve been wronged, commit it to God. He is the righteous Judge. He will not ignore oppression. Rom 12:19

5. *Celebrate God’s Deliverance*
The fall of Nineveh meant freedom for Judah. When God fights your battles, thank Him and share the testimony as it is part of victory. Ex 15:1.

God opposes the proud and the violent, but restores and defends His people. Let's trust Him to fight our battles.

But if you haven't surrended to Him, He won't be able to fight for you. Please accept Jesus now.

*Prayer Points*
1. Father thank you for another opportunity in your presence in Jesus name.
2. Father, please fight my battles for me and grant me all round victory in Jesus name.
3. Blood of Jesus, fire of the Holy Ghost go to the camps of my enemies and scatter them to desolation in Jesus name.

*CAN BEING RELIGIOUS EARN ME ETERNITY WITH GOD?*

*The answer is NO.*

The Bible says we can't be saved by good works but by grace through faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Part of good works is being religious.

Let's look at a man in the Bible whose name was Cornelius (Acts 10:1-48). Verse 2 says he was a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.

In fact, he prayed always, gave gifts to the needy and did many beautiful things for God as his daily religious activities.
But do you what? he was still not accepted by God because he didn't accept Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. Please read the Bible passage well.

So because of the love of God, Peter was sent to him to go and preach the gospel. Peter later did thenCornelius and his family members were saved eternally.

I want to beg you not to rely on religion because there's no salvation in it. Even good morals alone without Jesus amount to vanity of life.
Many people so harden their hearts that they refuse to accept Jesus their Lord and Savior. They only believe Him to be a Prophet like other and not God that can save.

I want you to know that your unbelieve is the work of Satan to harvest you to himself in hell. You can only save yourself from the peril coming upon the disobedient world. This is the available time you have to amend your ways before it gets too late.

Let the whole world cry because of your good deeds, but when you are dead without Jesus, your eternal home is hell.
Run to Jesus now and tell Him you are sorry for your sin. He will abundantly pardon you. There's still opportunity for you in heaven.

*_THE REALITY OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD_*
*Text:* 1 John 1:1-10
*Key Verse*
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

John opened his letter to deal with false teaching and to call believers back to true fellowship with God.

*The Passage Is Divided Into Three Parts*

*A. THE WORD OF LIFE WAS MANIFESTED*
John said, "We saw, heard, and touched Him." The eternal Word of Life, Jesus who came in the flesh and was seen and felt. The purpose is also for us to have fellowship with one another, through the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.(verses 1-4)
If we claim love God but hate others in the fold then, we deceive ourselves.

*Reflection:* Our faith is based on eyewitness truth, not stories.

B *. WALKING IN THE LIGHT*
Our God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
1. If we say we have fellowship but walk in darkness, we lie.
2. If we walk in the light, we have fellowship and Jesus’ blood cleanses us. (verses 5-7)

*Reflection:* Fellowship with God requires honesty and obedience, not perfection.

*C. DEALING WITH SIN HONESTLY*
John confronted three lies:
1. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and deny sinning
2. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive, which is God’s solution. This is a lie because forgiveness for continuous sinning is not pleasing to God. He expects us to daily live above sin, not rising and falling. Don't take God for granted.
3. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and denying the need for a Saviour. (verse 8-10)

*Reflection:* Honesty about sin leads to cleansing. Covering sin leads to deception.

*Some Applicable Lessons For Christians Today*

1. *Our fellowship starts with Jesus*
True fellowship is first with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, then with one another. Don’t chase church activity without a personal walk with Jesus. John 15:5

2. *Walk in the light, not in pretence*
God is light and we must also walk in light. Darkness means hidden sin, hypocrisy or secret sinful life. But let's be transparent before God. Bringing what’s in the dark into the light through repentance. Eph 5:11

3. *Confession is the key to cleansing*
Don’t hide sin when you discover it in you. Tell God about it, and He will cleanse you immediately. Ps 32:5. This is for believers who sin, not for salvation.

4. *The blood of Jesus keeps cleansing*
You don’t have to live in guilt. When you sin and confess, you’re clean again. 1 John 2:1. Though, not a license for continuous sinning.

5. *Don’t deceive yourself about sin* Humility is admitting weakness while pride is pretending. God resists the proud but gives grace to the simple. James 4:6.
Always confess your sin before it gets too late for you.

God invites us into daily fellowship through walking in the light, and when we fail, confession brings immediate forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus’ blood.

But for you who haven't surrended to Jesus at all, this is the best time to do so. There's nothing to gain in remaining in sin or postponing repentance.

2. Father help me to live above sin and live to make you happy in Jesus name.

*_THE LORD IS GOOD TO THE FAITHFUL, BUT TERRIBLE TO HIS ENEMIES_*
*TEXT:* Nahum 1:1-15
*KEY VERSE:*
*Nahum 1:7*
The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.

Nahum means comfort. This book is God’s message of judgment against Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. 100 years earlier, Jonah preached and Nineveh repented. But later, they returned back to cruelty and idolatry.

*From The Passage*

*Verses 1-6 tell us who God is that He is a jealous and avenging God.*
1. God is jealous, and the Lord avenges... The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked.
2. He controls nature, rebukes the sea, dries up rivers and makes mountains quake. Who can stand before His indignation?

*Reflection:* God is not weak but sin will not go unpunished.

*Verses 7-8 say Who God is to His People*
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place.

*Reflection:* Same God is Refuge to His people, and Ruin to His enemies.

*Verses 9-11 explain the reason for judgement*
Assyria/Nineveh planned evil against the Lord. They were wicked counselors. But God will not let affliction rise up a second time against His people.

*Reflection:* God deals decisively with those who oppose Him.

*Verses 12-15 reveal the good news to God’s people*
1. Though Assyria is strong, God will afflict Judah no more. He will break their yoke.
2. God’s command against Nineveh: Your name shall be perpetuated no more.
3. Behold, on the mountains The feet of him who brings good tidings, Who proclaims peace. God announces deliverance. Judah can now celebrate feasts again. Hallelujah!

*Some Applicable Lessons For Christians Today*

1. God Is Both Just and Merciful. Don’t take God’s grace for granted. He forgives the repentant, but judges the rebellious. Rom 11:22

2. God is a stronghold In trouble. When life shakes like mountains vs 5, run to God, not to people. He knows those who trust Him. Ps 46:1

3. God will deal with your enemies. Commit your battles to God. Vengeance belongs to Him. Nahum is God’s comfort to the oppressed. Rom 12:19

4. Evil has an expiry date. God sets limits. The devil’s attack on your life, family, or ministry will not last forever. God will cut it off. Isa 54:17

5. God brings good news to the weary. After judgment, God restores. After every storm, God announces peace. Keep celebrating your feasts don’t let the enemy steal your joy. Neh 8:10

God is a safe refuge for those who trust Him, and a sure judge against those who oppose Him — so fear Him and rest in Him.
In fearing God is obeying and surrendering to Him absolutely.
