1. What is Anointing?
Anointing refers to the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit that enables believers to perform specific tasks, minister, or fulfill their calling. It involves the impartation of God's power, wisdom, and authority to accomplish extraordinary things.
2. What is the Work of the Anointing?
The anointing of the Holy Spirit enables believers to:
- Preach and teach with authority and power (Luke 4:18-19)
- Heal the sick and perform miracles (Acts 10:38)
- Cast out demons and evil spirits (Mark 16:17)
- Prophesy and receive revelation (1 Corinthians 12:10)
- Minister with wisdom, compassion, and love (1 Corinthians 12:8-9)
3. 6 People in the Bible Who Operated in the Anointing of the Holy Spirit
Here are six examples from the NKJV Bible:
1. *Jesus Christ* (Luke 4:18-19, NKJV): "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed."
2. *Samuel* (1 Samuel 3:19-20, NKJV): "And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the Lord."
