TOMORROW IS PALM SUNDAY!
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, the beginning of the most sacred journey of the Christian faith—Holy Week. It is a day of both joy and quiet anticipation, as we remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, welcomed by crowds waving palm branches and crying out, “Hosanna!"
Yet, beneath the celebration lies a deeper truth: the same voices that praised Him would soon fall silent, and many would turn away. Palm Sunday invites us to reflect on the fleeting nature of human loyalty and the steadfast love of Christ, who willingly embraced His suffering for our sake.
As we hold our blessed palms, we are reminded not only of victory, but of surrender. These palms symbolize our own desire to welcome Christ into our lives—not just in moments of joy, but also in times of trial and sacrifice. Like the people of Jerusalem, we are called to receive Him with open hearts. But unlike them, we are also called to remain faithful, even when the path leads to the Cross.
This day challenges us to look inward. Do we praise God only when life is good? Do we remain with Him when following Him becomes difficult? Palm Sunday gently calls us to a deeper commitment—to walk with Jesus not only in His triumph, but also in His Passion.
As Holy Week begins, we are invited to journey with Christ: from the Last Supper, to His agony in the garden, to His crucifixion, and ultimately, to His Resurrection. It is not merely a remembrance, but a participation—a chance to renew our faith and draw closer to Him.
May this Palm Sunday awaken in us a sincere and enduring faith. May we carry our palms not just in our hands, but in our hearts, as a sign of our willingness to follow Christ wherever He leads.
Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
