THEME: MOUNTAIN- MOVING FAITH II

MEMORISE: And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. Luke 1:45

READ: Matthew 9:20-22
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

MESSAGE
A major characteristic of mountain-moving faith is that it also moves the believer. In other words, when you have faith, you'll begin to make moves in line with your faith. David had faith in God that he would kill Goliath, therefore, he boldly went to meet the king for permission to fight the giant. When Goliath charged at him, David didn't back down; he ran towards the giant and eventually had Goliath's head in his hand (1 Samuel 17:51-54). If you truly believe, you'll start moving towards the outcome you want.

Years ago, I was down with malaria on a day we were to have a Bible study in church, so I stayed back at home. I lay in bed and decided to listen to a sermon. The sermon was about faith, and as if the preacher could see me, he said, "What are you doing on the bed if you know that Jesus' stripes have already healed you? Get up!" That stirred my faith, so I got up and decided to go to church. My entire body ached, but somehow, I made it to church and sat at the back. During the praise and worship session, I ignored the pains in my body and danced. After a while, I felt the urge to urinate, and by the time I left the toilet, the sickness had vanished.

My Father in the Lord once conducted a revival in our church in Ilorin, a state in Southern Nigeria, and God moved him to say, "If there's anyone here trusting God for the fruit of the womb, go and buy the appropriate clothes for the gender of the baby you want. “A woman heard this, and when she got home, she bought a cot and clothes for a baby boy, which she displayed for everybody to see. Her neighbors laughed at her, saying that she had gone mad out of her desperation to have a child. She ignored them, held on to the word of the man of God, and nine months later, when the baby boy arrived, it was her turn to laugh.

Beloved, start making your own move of faith now. Whatever you are trusting God for, make moves towards it as if you have gotten it already, just like the woman I mentioned in the paragraph above. I declare that the Almighty God will give you a miracle that will surprise everyone around you, in Jesus' name. However, you have to take a step of faith.

ACTION POINT
Make a move towards what you are believing God for.

HYMN 16: TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
1. ’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

o Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!

2. Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

3. Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

4. I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

THEME: LITTLE BEGINNINGS

MEMORISE: Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Job 8:7

READ: Matthew 17:15-16
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

Acts 5:12-16
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

MESSAGE
Every great minister of God must have had their days of little beginnings, and their greatness today testifies of their faithfulness over time. If you get discouraged during your days of little beginnings, you will deny yourself the opportunity to
experience the great moves of God.

In 1980, while travelling throughout Nigeria, supervising our church programmes, and making sure that everything was in order, I had an unforgettable experience. I was preaching in a town called Warri, when suddenly, I saw an open vision. In the vision, I saw that a young boy, who was born blind, received his sight. As I wasn't as mature as I am now, I didn't wait for God to give me the details of the vision before I said, "There is a young boy here who is blind, God wants to open your eyes. Come quickly!" Nobody moved. I continued, "I know what I saw. Maybe it's your son, and he's at home. Go and bring him quickly; İ will wait." Still, nobody moved. I knew that my Goo doesn't lie, so I said, "Okay, I will wait for one hour after the service. Maybe you don't want to miss what's going on now. After the service, go and bring the boy." I waited after the service, but no one brought any boy to me. Sadly, after the time elapsed, I left for Akure, which was my next stop. Because I waited an extra hour for the blind boy, I got there late, and someone else was already preaching when I arrived. Suddenly, while the sermon was going on, an elderly man got up. He had a young boy with him, and they began to move towards the altar. The boy was blind, and as I looked closely, I saw that it was the boy in my vision. The father wanted prayers for his son, but I knew that the protocol officers were going to turn him back, saying, "You can't go to the altar while the preacher is preaching." I ran towards the officers to say, "Please don't turn them back. I saw this boy in a vision; he is about to receive a miracle." However, before I got to them, the boy heard my footsteps, turned towards me, and his eyes opened.

Beloved, God proved Himself mighty in my days of little beginnings, and He has remained faithful up to now. He will prove Himself mighty too in whatever phase you are currently in your life, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT
Remain faithful in your days of little beginnings, and in due time, you will see God's mighty hand at work in your life.

HYMN 21: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Chorus:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3. His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

THEME: GOD TEACHES II

MEMORISE: Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Psalm 25:4

READ: 1 Corinthians 2:6-13
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

MESSAGE
Yesterday, I narrated how God helped me to complete my PhD thesis by teaching me how to solve a complex mathematical problem through His word. Today, I want to share with you another dimension of how God teaches His children.

During my postgraduate studies at the University of Lagos, my supervisor, an Indian, gave me an assignment just before he travelled. When he returned, I had made significant progress, which made him ask me, "Enoch, I know that you are a Christian, so you wouldn't lie. Who helped you?" He didn't believe in God, but he knew that Christians do not lie. I knew that if I said "Jesus', he would laugh at me, so I said, "Professor Emmanuel," referring to one of the names of Jesus (Matthew 1:23).

When you become intimate with God, you will start operating on a level of wisdom and understanding that is above your peers. The closer you are to God, the wiser He will make you. You will begin to answer questions in such a way that it will be obvious to people that you are being taught by God. You will look at difficult situations, and God will impress their solutions in your spirit. By the time you execute the solutions that God gives you, people will think that you are very smart, whereas you only have a teacher who is greater than all teachers. In Galatians 3:27, the Bible says:

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

In Yorubaland, where I come from, there is a saying that when the leaf stays long with the soap, it also becomes soap. Being baptized into Christ signifies that you are now one with God. As you grow in Him by praying regularly, fellowshipping with other believers, studying your Bible, evangelizing, and so on, you will start living the same way Christ would have if He were still physically on the earth. You will start operating on a level of wisdom that is higher than that of those around you because you have surrendered to God and are completely sold out to Him.

Beloved, God is the greatest teacher of all; in Him lies all wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3). If you put your trust in Him and lean not on your understanding (Proverbs 3:5), He will be your teacher.

KEY POINT
When you become sufficiently intimate with God, you will start doing things like Him.

Teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
In me fulfill.

THEME: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

MEMORISE: For with God, nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

READ: Mark 11:22-24
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

MESSAGE
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23

Sometime ago, we had a Holy Ghost night in Canada. After the programme, some people rushed to touch the chair I sat on. However, one particular woman didn't bother; she just went to my wife's chair, knelt there, and prayed to God. The doctors had told her that she had no womb and that she shouldn't bother trying to have children. While on her knees, she said, "Lord, the woman who sat here has a womb, and she doesn't need it anymore. Transfer her womb to me." By the time she came to testify, she had given birth to five children. She miraculously had a womb transplant by just touching the chair of the original owner of the womb. This is just one of the little things that God can do. He resurrected a dead man after four days in John 11; there is absolutely nothing that God cannot do. One major thing that can limit His ability to work wonders is unbelief. As powerful as Jesus was during His earthly ministry, He could not perform many miracles in His own hometown because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58).

During Jesus' earthly ministry, He would often say to those that He was about to heal, "Your faith has made you whole" (Mark 5:34). In other words, without faith, they would have remained sick.

That big challenge in front of you can be easily solved by God if only you believe. Praying about a problem is not enough; the real question is, "Do you believe that God can solve it?" I have seen many people pray without believing that they will receive answers to their prayers, and because of their unbelief, they miss out on their miracles. James 1:6- 7 says:

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Nothing is impossible with God; all you have to do is ask Him in faith. Philippians 4:6 says that when you are praying, you should present your requests to God with thanksgiving. In other words, as you are making your request, you should thank Him simultaneously because you know that He has done it already.

ACTION POINT
Go ahead to make decrees according to God's word concerning the impossible situations around you, and trust Him to turn them around.

HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!

3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge--
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield you;
you will find a solace there.

THEME: THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

MEMORISE: Wherefore God also hath highly exalteth him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:9

READ: Jeremiah 32:17-20
17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

18 Thou shewest loving kindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,

19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

MESSAGE
Years ago, a young man was involved in a road accident in which everyone else died except him. He was taken to a hospital and was in a coma for several days. While still in coma, he would occasionally regain consciousness and shout, "Jesus." Then, he would relapse. This kept reoccurring until he regained full consciousness. He recovered fully, and He is still alive as | write this.

No matter how helpless a situation is, when you call on the name of Jesus, everything turns around for good. The name of Jesus is enough to bring down any mountain. Philippians 2:10 says:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

A young boy, who was the son of a Muslim cleric, gave his life to Christ. His father felt embarrassed that his son had converted to Christianity, and after many arguments and persuasions, it became clear that his son was unwilling to reverse his decision. Feeling frustrated, the father got his fellow clerics to produce a charm to attack his son. One day, he called his son's name with the charm, and as expected from a son who hears his father's call, the boy answered. As he answered, the young boy looked up and saw a big rock coming towards him. Immediately, he shouted, "Jesus!" and it disappeared. It was a spiritual attack, but it failed at the mention of the name of Jesus.

The name of Jesus is powerful and potent all by itself. This is why you must learn to use it in the face of impending danger. However, you should not call the name of Jesus in vain or as a mere exclamation. Do not call the name of Jesus casually so you do not attract the wrath of the owner of the name. Even as a human being, you would not like it if people toyed with your name; how much more the Most High God? Exodus 20:7 says:

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Beloved, you will overcome whatever challenges you face if you call upon the name of Jesus. As the Bible says in Romans 10:13, whosoever calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved.

KEY POINT
The name of Jesus is not an ordinary name; it is filled with power!

3. Let every tongue and every tribe

To him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all!

4. Oh, that with all the sacred throng

We'll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all.

THEME: THE GLORY AND THE STORY

MEMORISE: They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalm 126:5

READ: Psalms 126:5-6
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

MESSAGE
Some people who are not Christians become very rich because they understand the principle of sowing and reaping. If those who do not know God benefit from this simple principle, how much more God's children?

During a Kenneth Hagin camp meeting several years ago, a call was made for a special offering to be collected. Then one man got up and said, "Brothers and sisters, please give very generously this evening because the total amount you all give is what my wife and I will give." There were about 17,500 people in attendance. When the offering was counted, it amounted to about $3.5million. He got up again and said, "Brethren, is this all you can do?" I said to myself, "This fellow knows something that I do not know," so I cornered him after the meeting and asked, What is your secret?" He said, "Five years ago, I started a business with $500, and I told God, This company is Your company. I will not insult You by giving You 10 percent; I will keep 10 percent, and You will have 90 percent. It is up to You to prosper the company if You want to." He continued, "Sir, today, I have a turnover of $50 million."

I learnt a major lesson that day. Though I do not give God 90 percent yet, I am on my way, and He has already blessed me beyond my expectations. If you see someone walking in glory, try and find out what their story is. If you see someone prospering much more than you, and you are both children of the same heavenly Father, find out their secret.

The Bible says that God blessed Abraham in everything (Genesis 24:1), He was rich in cattle, houses, lands, and servants. Today, billions of Christians say, "Abraham's blessings are mine." However, the same Abraham was willing to sacrifice his only son at God's instruction (Genesis 22:10). He also obeyed God to leave his father's house to an unknown land (Genesis 12:4), lived in tents in the land God showed him, refusing to become attached to anything God blessed him with (Hebrews 11:9), and gave tithes to God (Genesis 14:20), Those who will enjoy the blessings of Abraham must do his works.

Beloved, there's always a story behind every glory. Don't just ask God to give you the glory you see on others who are shining today; try to find out what they did to walk in that glory.

KEY POINT
There is always a story behind the glory you see.

READ: Psalms 145:1-12
1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

MESSAGE
Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing God's word. Revelation 12:11 also tells us that testimonies are powerful weapons that can defeat the devil. This is why I keep sharing testimonies. I have discovered that many people don't often remember the Bible passages I quote during my sermons, but they remember the testimonies. When you look back at the things the Lord has done, you become confident that you can overcome any obstruction that may come your way.

In 1 Samuel 17:1-51, when David confronted Goliath, his testimonies gave him the assurance that he would win. He said, The God who delivered me from the lion and the bear will deal with Goliath." God has kept you alive until now, and He will keep you unto the end, in Jesus' name. Bartimaeus, in Mark 10:46-52, was a blind man who was begging by the roadside. He heard that Jesus was passing by and began to cry for help. How did he know that Jesus can open blind eyes? I'm sure it was because he had heard testimonies of miracles that Jesus had performed. So, when he heard that the same Jesus was passing by, he knew that his miracle had come.

Several years ago, I shared a testimony about how my wife delivered a baby naturally after she had delivered three of our children through Caesarean Sections. The doctor had told us, "No more babies," and we agreed. Thereafter, we became born again, and one day, I read the Bible passage that says, "...with God nothing shall be impossible," and i believe it. My wife and I agreed that we would have another child, and this time, we would not involve any doctor. The baby was born safely by God's grace. I shared the testimony for the first time in Kaduna, a state in Northern Nigeria, as I preached a message titled, "10 steps to your miracle (The original sermon notes l used can be accessed in the Open Heavens International Centre). A woman who attended the programme wrote all the steps in her notebook. She had undergone two Caesarean Sections and was pregnant with her third baby. When she was about to give birth, she took the notebook and began to follow the steps. While she was still acting on the steps, the baby came.

Beloved, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). If you have heard someone share a testimony concerning whatever situation you are going through, have faith that your miracle will also come.

ACTION POINT
List at least five things God has done for you and share your testimonies with those around you.

HYMN 26: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS
1. There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Refrain
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

2. There shall be showers of blessing—
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

3. There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord!
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

4. There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

5. There shall be showers of blessing,

There shall be seasons refreshing,

THEME: HE IS ABLE AND WILLING

MEMORISE: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20

READ: Mark 1:40-45
40 And there came a l***r to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

43 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

MESSAGE
As discussed yesterday, God is the source of all help, and He is able to help you in any situation. He said in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? He told Sarah in Genesis 18:9-14 that she was going to have a son, and she laughed. He responded, "Is anything too hard for the Lord to do?" Your case is not too hard for God; He can do ALL things.

One of my daughters had been believing God for the fruit of the womb, but the doctors told her that she could never have a child. One day, a relative called her husband and said, "Stop wasting your money because your wife cannot have a child." When he asked why, the relative said it was because witches had removed her womb. Soon after that, she came to a Holy Ghost Service, and the word of God came thus, There is someone here, you have no womb, but God says He will give you a set of twins." That month, she became pregnant. When she was set to deliver, her husband asked the doctors to perform a Caesarean Section on her. The surgeon took out the twins and said, "1 have been practicing medicine for 34 years; this is the first time I have brought out a set of twins without a womb."

We rejoiced over that testimony, and several years later, I got a phone call from her saying that she wanted to visit me with her twins. I was expecting her to bring the twins that we all rejoiced over, but she came with a new set of twins! There is a God who can do the incredible and surprise you beyond your wildest imagination. I pray that as He lives, He will give you a miracle today, in Jesus' name.

Not only is God able to help you, He is also willing. In today's Bible reading, a l***r came to Jesus and said that he knew Jesus could make him clean, but he wasn't sure if He was willing.

Beloved, you may be thinking, "I know God is a miracle worker; have seen Him working, and I have heard countless testimonies, but I am not sure if He is willing to help me." I decree, in the name of the One who called me, your day has come.

Go ahead and ask Him for help, and you will receive that help, in Jesus' name.

PRAYER POINT
Lord, I know You are willing and able; please help me!

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Exodus 14-16

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMN 15: PASS ME NOT O GENTLE SAVIOUR
1. Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Refrain:
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

2. Let me at a throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.

3. Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.

4. Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav'n but Thee?
