Excerpts of Fix- IT Service Bible Study - Friday, 14th August, 2026
2026 Theme: Growth, Development and Impact
Topic: Evidence of God’s Glory in a Man’s Life
Text: Exodus 13:21–22
Memory Verse: Exodus 33:18 — “I beseech thee, shew me thy Glory.”
1. What Is God’s Glory?
God’s glory is the visible expression of His presence, character, power and goodness in a person's life.
It is seen when our lives demonstrate:
- Extraordinary fruitfulness
- Supernatural peace and joy
- Divine wisdom
- Christlike character
The goal is not for us to receive glory, but for our lives to point people to God.
---
2. God's Glory Is His Presence
In Exodus 13:21–22, God guided Israel through a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. His presence was visible and undeniable.
God's glory is His greatness, goodness, holiness, beauty and power made known.
Today, His glory should also be evident through our lives, character and testimony.
---
3. Creation Reveals God's Glory
God created people, planets, animals, birds, insects and countless forms of life, each displaying His creativity and wisdom.
Psalm 19:1 says the heavens declare God's glory.
Since we are created in His image (Genesis 1:27), our lives should also reflect Him.
Ask yourself: Can people see God's hand in my life?
---
4. Four Evidences of God's Glory
1. Extraordinary Fruitfulness
God can produce results in our lives that go beyond human ability—in our career, ministry, relationships and personal development.
2. Supernatural Peace and Joy
Like Paul, who encouraged believers to rejoice even while he was in prison, we can have joy because our peace comes from God's presence, not our circumstances.
3. Divine Wisdom
Solomon demonstrated exceptional wisdom, while Jesus repeatedly showed wisdom and discernment when dealing with the Pharisees and His enemies.
We should ask God for wisdom, not just knowledge.
4. Reflected Character
God's glory is seen in our love, patience, kindness, humility and forgiveness.
How we treat difficult people can reveal how much Christ is being formed in us.
---
5. Learn From David
David sometimes complained to God about his circumstances, but he did not remain there.
He eventually returned to:
Faith → Praise → Thanksgiving → Trust
David learned to encourage himself in the Lord, which helps us understand why he was called a man after God's heart.
Lesson: Be honest with God about your struggles, but always return to faith and thanksgiving.
---
6. How Do We Experience God's Glory?
Seek God Early — Psalm 63:1
Make God's presence your first pursuit.
Give God Praise — Psalm 63:3–5
Praise shifts our focus from our problems to God's greatness.
Meditate on His Word — Psalm 63:6
What fills our hearts eventually influences our lives.
---
7. Keep a Testimony Book
Create a Testimony Book for the year.
Record:
- Prayers you have prayed
- Answers to prayer
- Miracles and breakthroughs
- Doors God opened
- Things God delivered you from
- Lessons God has taught you
- Things you are still trusting Him for
When difficult seasons come, look back and remember God's faithfulness.
Don't forget what God has done. Document it.
---
8. Biblical Examples of God's Glory
- Creation: Psalm 19:1
- Jesus Christ: Hebrews 1:3
- God's character: Exodus 34:6–7
- God's presence: Exodus 13:21
- Humanity: Genesis 1:27
---
9. Our Response
To reflect God's glory, we must turn away from self-centred living and allow Christ to transform us.
Our wisdom, success, character, endurance and testimony should all point back to God.
The question is not simply:
“Am I succeeding?”
But:
“Can people see God's hand in my life?”
---
Personal Declaration
Father, today I see Your hand in my life. I choose to be a doer of Your Word and showcase Your glory through my life. Give me wisdom, patience, love, faith and supernatural peace. Let my character reflect Christ, and let everything I do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Prayer:
- Oh Lord God, let Your glory be revealed in my life and in all that pertains to me.
- Let Your presence be evident in my character, decisions, relationships, work and testimony.
- May my life point people to You and bring honour to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
