FEAR: Prevents you from seizing opportunities.

ANGER: Prevents you from seeing clearly.

ENVY: Prevents you from focusing on yourself.

EGO: Prevents you from learning from others.

HATE: Prevents you from becoming a better person.

UNFORGIVENESS: Prevents you from living as free person.

LYING: Prevents people from trusting you.

PRIDE: Prevents you from seeing and learning from your mistakes.

Work on yourself.

THE BLESSING OF FOLLOWING GOD

" Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord, that walketh in His ways. For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands; happy thou shalt be, and it shall be well with thee." (Ps 128:1-2)

The path to true blessedness and happiness is not paved with the frivolous and fading things this world offers. True happiness cannot be provided by mortals nor materials.

The settled state of blessedness begins and ends with a fear of and faith in God. At first it is a fear in the true sense, as one frightened by the known or unknown. When the soul is made aware of its guilty condition, having violated much of God's law, the punishment of separation,isolation, abandonment, and eternal banishment forever from God's presence, pierces into the heart causing a certain fear of God's wrath. From that, faith gives the opportunity to repent and be restored to a right standing with Almighty God, through the salvation provided in and by Christ. Once the grace of forgiveness is granted and the debt has been paid in fullness, there comes an awe of God that never leaves. It is a fearing of God, yet without fear. It is honor, worship, respect, acceptance, and submission, all flowing from a new heart and mind.

The blessings begins when fear of God is transformed into faith in God. The one who believes with a reverentual awe and respect for God will walk in the ways of God, willingly yielded to His path of life, as it unfolds.

The reward is to enjoy God's best from labors born out of love for Him. He wants to bless with manifold blessings. True happiness and blessings come to those who humbly bow, seeking God's lead and favor in each step taken for His Glory.

WHAT BENEFIT IS RUNNING IF YOU’RE ON THE WRONG ROAD?
THE RIGHT DIRECTION
Beverly Sills says, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” The way to the top is neither swift nor easy. Nothing worthwhile ever happens in a hurry – so be patient. Because of impatience, we are driven too soon from what we’re supposed to do. Don’t be impatient: remember, you can’t warm your hands by burning your fingers.
Your success has less to do with speed and more to do with timing and direction. The key is doing the right thing at the right time. Lord Chesterfield said, “Whoever is in a hurry shows that the thing he is about is too big for him.” There is simply more to life than increasing its speed. The trouble with life in the fast lane is that you get to the other end too soon. Haste makes waste; give time, time. Many people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in a lifetime.
We are happiest when we discover that what we should be doing and what we are doing are the same things. I agree with what the book of Ecclesiastes says: “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” If you are facing the right direction, just keep on walking.

MESSAGE TOPIC: THE PATHWAY OF JOY

SERVICE OBJECTIVES: Understanding the route to joy

For every destination there is a direction; there is a pathway to every endpoint
For whatever is desired, something is required
There is a process to every product. If joy is the product, then what is the process?

THE PATHWAY TO JOY:
1. Living in His Presence (Ps. 16:11; 1Chron. 16:27)
Whatever keeps you in God’s Presence (such as worship and the study of the Word etc.) keeps you in joy
Whatever keeps you out of God’s Presence (such as a busy schedule, inverted life priorities etc.) keeps you out of joy

2. Flowing in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:17; Gal. 5:22; Acts 13:52; 1Thess. 1:6; Eph. 5:18-19)
The Holy Spirit is the headquarters of joy
The Holy Ghost can’t be present and joy is absent
The fullness of the Spirit equals the fullness of joy
Any activity that increases the operation of the Holy Spirit, such as praying and speaking in tongues, worshipping in the Spirit, and receiving leadings from the Spirit, such activities increase your joy.

3. Light and Insight in Scripture (Jer. 15:16; Ps. 119:162; 1Thess. 1:6; Eccl. 11:7)
Every revelation of the Word brings the transmission of joy
To be lighted is to be excited; connection to light equals the collection of joy
When Light comes, hope and faith are injected (1Pet. 1:8; Rom. 10:17)
The famine of the Word is the famine of joy

4. The Kingdom assignment of soul-winning (Luke 10:17; 1Thess. 2:18-20; Luke 15:10; Jam. 4:8; Ps. 18:25)
There is a joy reserved for impact – the joy of impact. It is the joy of seeing lives changed for the better and the joy of giving heaven joy
Until you know zeal for God you never know joy in life

5. Upright Living (Ps. 51:10-12; 132:9; Rom. 14:17)
When people are clothed in righteousness, the shout of joy never ceases
Joy travels in the direction of righteousness; where you find righteousness, there you find joy
Guilt is a natural killer of joy; to be guilty consistently is to settle in permanent depression
For the maintenance of joy, maintain an upright life

CONCLUSION:
1. The road you follow determines the place you end; you can never follow the wrong road and end at the right place.
COUNSEL: Follow the way of joy so that you can end in the place of joy

2. Whatever is not adding something to your life is likely taking something from your life.
COUNSEL: Avoid those things that take your joy from you
Many people have lost out in life because they felt obligated to a particular association that was adding nothing of people
To choose the opinion of people is to lose out of the purpose of God; determine to choose the purpose of God.
You have one life to live, refuse to endure it; determine to enjoy it righteously!
Nothing in life is compulsory, except making Heaven

PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us tonight. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Father, tonight, I come before You and I receive the grace to live in Your Presence, the grace to flow in the Spirit, the grace to receive light and insight from Scripture, the grace for the Kingdom assignment of soul-winning, and the grace to live an upright life, in Jesus’ Name.

Everything that is after my joy, I cut you off! You cannot determine frustrate my life! I cut you off NOW, in Jesus’ Name.

Father, I receive the wisdom for the maintenance of my joy, to make the right decisions.

TOPIC: THE SATANIC CONFRONTATION OF GOD’S PURPOSE

It is important to note that there are deadly enemies that the devil uses to fight destiny and render people useless on earth.

SCRIPTURE:📖 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:🤔 Knowing that destiny is very crucial, the devil fights it with passion.

Previously, we established that you were created by God for a purpose. God has a plan for your life.

In our study today, it is important to look at the confrontation of the devil against the purpose of God in our lives.

Look at this: The devil does not care about what people become in life as long as they do not become what God wants them to be. So, knowing that destiny is very crucial, the devil fights it with passion.

Now, one way satan fights God’s purpose for your life is through the enemies of purpose. It is important to note that there are deadly enemies that the devil uses to fight destiny and render people useless on earth.

Today, many great destinies roam about being rendered destitute in the world by these deadly enemies of destiny. There are many people who would have gone farther in life than their current positions if their lives had not been crippled by these enemies of destiny.

When you look through Scriptures, you would see examples of great destinies that were crippled by enemies of destiny. People like Samson, Achan, Gehazi, Judas Iscariot, and Queen Vashti were examples of those destroyed by enemies of destiny in the scripture.

Beloved, you shall never be destroyed by these enemies of destiny. Live to fulfil purpose.

Remember this: 💡Knowing that destiny is very crucial, the devil fights it with passion.

1. Identify the way(s) satan is fighting God’s purpose for your life and deal with him.

TOPIC: FURTHER DEMANDS TO EXPERIENCING THE PEACE OF GOD

Where there is pressure and tension, it is a confirmation that wisdom is absent. If there is tension in a home, it shows that the husband and his wife are not acting in wisdom. If there is tension in the work place, wisdom is lacking.

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together. 1 Kings 5:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere you find pressure, wisdom is lacking because the way of wisdom is the way of peace.
We have been on the journey of exploring the demands or keys to experiencing the peace of God.

Today, we shall be looking at further demands for experiencing the peace of God.
1. Walking in wisdom
Wisdom is key to peace (1 Kings 5:12, Proverbs 3:13-17). You use peace to confirm the wisdom in every action. Where there is pressure and tension, it is a confirmation that wisdom is absent. If there is tension in a home, it shows that the husband and his wife are not acting in wisdom. If there is tension in the work place, wisdom is lacking. Pressure somewhere equals the absence of wisdom (James 3:17). Anywhere you find pressure, wisdom is lacking because the way of wisdom is the way of peace.
So, tell God at the place of prayer, “Lord, I cannot walk in tension; I need wisdom. Give me the wisdom that will remove tension from my life”.

2. The working of the Spirit is the way of peace.
The Holy Ghost is the Giver of peace and joy (Galatians 5:22; Romans 14:17). When you are a person of the Spirit, you experience and walk in the peace of God. In Galatians 5:22, the ‘fruit’ of the Holy Spirit means the works of the Spirit. When you allow the Holy Spirit to mature you as a Christian, when you allow the Holy Spirit to work on you, peace would be the outcome. No wonder the Bible says that to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is peace (Romans 8:6). When your mind is centred on carnal earthly things, you will never have peace, but when you are spiritually minded, you will experience peace.

3. Walking in meekness and humility
There can be no peace for the proud and arrogant. If you doubt it, ask Lucifer or Nebuchadnezzar (Isaiah 14:12-15, Daniel 4:37). Humility, meekness, or “teachability” brings peace (Psalms 37:11). A meek or humble person has abundant peace (Matthew 11:29). When you learn the meekness of Jesus Christ, you shall find rest for your soul (Matthew 11:29).

Beloved, my counsel is, learn to walk in wisdom and in the Spirit of God; learn to be humble and teachable, and you shall find true peace.

Remember this: Anywhere you find pressure, wisdom is lacking because the way of wisdom is the way of peace.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to walk in wisdom to access the peace of God.
2. Walk in the Spirit always.
3. Embrace the humility and meekness of Jesus Christ to access the peace of God.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for the impartation of Your Wisdom, Your Spirit and Your meekness on my life so I can experience peace, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: DEMANDS FOR EXPERIENCING THE PEACE OF GOD

When you receive Jesus Christ into your life, you have received peace. He guides us into the way of peace

SCRIPTURE: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:1.

THOUGHT FOR THE: Justification by faith or being born again is the entry point into the Peace of God.

Yesterday, we saw some scriptural facts about the peace of God.

Now, to experience this peace, there are scriptural demands to be met. Today, we shall look at some of the demands.

1. Justification by faith

Justification by faith or being born again is the entry point into the Peace of God (Romans 5:1). Being born again is the entry point into the mercy of God. Jesus died so that we may walk in peace. He was beaten on the Cross that you may have peace (Isaiah 53:5). So, when you receive Jesus Christ into your life, you have received peace. He guides us into the way of peace (Luke 1:76-79). The mission of Jesus is to bring peace to us (Luke 2:14). Jesus is our Peace (Ephesians 2:14-16). No wonder He is called the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Beloved, you cannot have Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and be in pieces. You cannot have the Prince of Peace and be in crisis. You have the right to make demands on the peace of God when you are born again. You can say, “Jesus, you died on the Cross of Calvary for my peace, I reject this conflict and crisis”.

2. A heart stayed on God

Having a heart stayed on God is a secret of the peace of God (Isaiah 26:3). It is not the heart stayed on marriage or house rent issues that the scripture said will have peace, but a heart stayed on God. God keeps in perfect peace those whose hearts are stayed on Him. So, what you mind determines the peace you have. Don’t permit your heart to wander about and be troubled; centre your heart on God.

3. Hand all your cares and worries over to God.

This is a major secret of peace. You will experience peace if you hand all your cares and worries over to God (Philippians 4:6-7).

Beloved, make up your mind to hand all your worries and pressures over to God. When you hand your worries over to God completely, you will feel lighter and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28-29). God is saying to you, “Bring your problems to me. Give them all to me, and you will find peace”. (1 Peter 5:7). If there is anything that is putting your life under pressure, it means you have not yet handed that thing over to God. It is not possible to truly hand anything over to God and still be worrying about it.

Handing your cares and worries over to God is key to a world of peace.

Remember this: Justification by faith or being born again is the entry point into the Peace of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Make up your mind to surrender your life to God today and experience His peace.

2. Ensure that your heart is stayed on God.

3. Hand all your cares and worries over to God.

PRAYER: O Lord, I surrender and rededicate my life to You afresh today. I ask for the grace to have my heart stayed on You. I hand all my cares and worries over to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

WE JUST HAD S*X:

she was in my arms, we were cuddled together naked and just finished making love to catch up for the lost time.

It was pleasurable as usual and we enjoyed it. We haven't seen each other for few weeks and we were in love.

She was a leading member of our campus fellowship : Association of Christian Fellowship (ACF). A vibriant sister; very beautiful but she was my lover and partner in sin and I just saw her off at about 10:18pm after rounds of s*x.

It wasn't up to 30 minutes when my phone rang, I picked it up only for the caller to tell me the owner of this phone was killed by a truck that failed brake. I screamed and shout "Whaaaaat?"

It was like I was hit by a tsunami! I lost composure and started crying.

When I finally got to her house the next morning, people were in sad mood...
*but most of them were praising God that a dedicated sister has returned to Heaven.*

But deep inside me, I felt a great guilt and I knew deep down what we did in secret. I'm the only one who knows the final sin she committed (s*x out of wedlock)

*Friends, do you know life might end today? God forbid, but it's possible.*
*Do you also know death can come unexpectedly?
*Do you realise that some people might sleep this night and never wake up tomorrow, what if I am amongst them?
*Do I know where my soul will go?*
*Do you know people might say good things about you at your funeral, because of what they see and not really know what you do in secrecy?

*But your secret sins and sinful thought might place you in hell?

You can't hide them from the Almighty God!

*Kindly examine yourself today, in case tomorrow never comes.*

For some of us, it may not be Fornication nor Adultery, but what about Lies, Exaggeration, Disobedience, Malice, Grudges, Gambling, Smoking, Alcoholism, Envy, Jealousy, Pride, Anger, Unforgiveness, Bad Temper, Lust, Bad Habits, Inordinate Affections, Immoral Thought, Covetousness etc...

Some of us may be Leaders in Ministries yet but we drink Sin like Water thinking before death arrives we repent, this is not so, You and I rent the Life we Live Surely we return it back to the Owner who created Heaven and Earth ..
Repent today and be Happy tomorrow.

OPIC: CONFRONTING AND CONQUERING THE STORMS OF LIFE*

The peace of God is an indispensable necessity in life and destiny. The peace of God is the answer to the storms of life. Peace is needed to confront and conquer sudden storms that may arise in your journey of life.

We can see an example from the Scripture: One day, Jesus Christ was in a boat with his disciples in a sea and a storm arose.

Mark 4:35-39 says, And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

At times, sudden storms may arise while you are embarking on an important journey in life. That is why the peace of God is needed.

Now, when the storm arose, Jesus seemed to say, “I confront you storm, with peace. You storm, Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Halleluiah!

You know, most times, the storms of life arise without notice, and they come to put pressure on your content. Sometime ago, we were flying to France, and as we were trying to land, the aircraft came close to the ground but took off suddenly and violently into the air. People began to panic, and at that moment, I was reminded of a prophetic declaration: “If it would crash, you won’t be inside, and if you are inside, it won’t crash”. So, I remained seated peacefully. Shortly after that, the pilot apologised for the failure of the automatic landing system; meaning, what should have landed the aircraft failed. But shortly after that, it became normal, and the plane landed successfully.

You see, when the emergencies of life occur, what you need is the peace of God.

Beloved, determine to go for the peace of God so you can confront and conquer sudden storms that may arise in your journey of life.

Sister Mary Tricky said, “Fear is Faith that is won’t work out.” Instead, do what the book of 1 Peter says, “Let Him (God) have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.” Dr. Rob Gilbert advised, “It’s all right to have butterflies in your stomach. Just get them to fly in formation.” The great evangelist Billy Sunday once said, “Fear knocked at my door. Faith answered…and there was no one there.” Now that’s the proper response to fear.
Fear can keep you from going where you could have won. Don’t let your fears steal from you and prevent you from pursuing your dream. Most people believe their doubts and doubt their beliefs. So, do like the old saying and “feed your faith and watch your doubts starve to death.” Worry is a route that leads from somewhere to nowhere; never let it direct your life.
