✝️WHAT THEY NEVER TOLD YOU ABOUT ST. VALENTINE😳🤔
_________________
They say Valentine’s Day is about roses, chocolate, and candlelight.

But it began with blood.

In the 3rd century, under the harsh rule of Emperor Claudius II, Rome was desperate for soldiers. The emperor believed single men fought better than married men, so he banned young men from marrying.

Love was declared illegal.

A priest named Saint Valentine refused to accept that. Quietly, in hidden rooms, he joined Christian couples in marriage. No applause. No decorations. Just vows whispered before God.

He believed love was not weakness.
He believed marriage was sacred.
He believed no emperor had authority over a covenant sealed by God.

They arrested him.

While in prison, tradition says he befriended his jailer’s blind daughter. He prayed for her, and she received her sight. Before his ex*****on on February 14, he left her a note signed: “From your Valentine.”

The next day, they cut off his head.

That is why February 14 is not about lust.
It is about sacrifice.
It is about covenant.
It is about a man who died defending Christian marriage.

Valentine is not the patron of casual romance.
He is the patron of courageous love, the kind that risks everything to remain faithful.

That is the real story behind Lovers’ Day.

The Truth We All Ignore

Come come come here joooooor..............
Have you ever sat down and wondered what it’s really like to kpai(D!£)?
To lie on your bed, bre@thing one last time, and then your s0ul quietly leaves your b0dy just like that, 😮it’s the end oooo. And one moment you’re healthy, laughing, singing, and dancing… and the next, you c0llapse, g0ne for£ver.

Think about it oooo ,and whether you're rich or poor, young or old, doing well in life or struggling, we all face the same £nd. Imagine dat you eat the best food, wear the best clothes, drive the finest cars, fly business class, and live large… but one day, just one in one second, it all stops🥺. The same body that once glowed and attracted compliments becomes pale and l!fel£ss. No more smooth skin, no more makeup, no more taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide. The creams, the s¥rgeries, the skin care routines all gone in a second.😮

And there’s no coming back ooo in diz journey 😕no second chance, no wake up, like as if you're in a dream. My dear De@t8 is a journey of no return.
But yet, many of us live as if it will never happen. Some spend their time fighting others, d£str0ying reputations, and spreading h@te as if life lasts forever. Some even take pills out of £nvy & b!tterness, forgetting that everything here is temporary.

So,Let me ask us this question ❓, after all the , pr!de, and struggles to outshine others, what do we really gain?
See hmmmm D£8th is real ooo. The earlier we understand this, the wiser we live.
This message is for you and for me , it's a reminder that one day, we too shall go.
So while we still bre@the, let us live with love and Peace ✌🏼

O Eucharistic JESUS, we entrust ourselves, families, friends, plans, anxieties, worries and fears into your gracious Hands in this New Month of OCTOBER. In your Unconditional Love, Provide for us, Protect us, Nourish us and Lead us to the path of Life Abundance and Blessings.

Points for Reflection [Mt 18:1-4]
1. Jesus is always available and approachable

2. Jesus welcomes all forms of questions: rational or irrational. The kingdom of God is God's reign or presence. It's available for everyone. But being Childlike is the condition or disposition we need to enter into His Presence.

3. Jesus recognizes everyone. No one is insignificant before the LORD irrespective of our age, race, creed, strengths and weaknesses.

4. Only Jesus can give meaning to our lives. He alone can give importance to us. He alone can encourage, elevate, uplift and promote us. Like Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, we just need to choose the LITTLE WAY, become little before God so that He may become Big in us and do Great things in our lives.

5. Jesus invites us to turn and become Childlike. We are called not to be Childish but Childlike, Christocentric.

Today, the Roman Catholic Church in Nigeria celebrates with deep joy the solemnity of Our Lady, Queen and Patroness of Nigeria. This title reminds us that Mary, the Mother of Christ, is not only the Queen of Heaven but also a loving Mother who intercedes specially for our nation. Entrusting Nigeria to her maternal care is both a privilege and a responsibility; a call for us to imitate her faith, humility, and obedience to God.

As Patroness, Mary watches over our country, guiding us through trials and challenges, while pointing us always to her Son, Jesus Christ, the true Prince of Peace. On this solemn day, we renew our trust in her powerful intercession, praying that through her, Nigeria may grow in unity, justice, and peace.

Instead of sleeping all day on Sunday's, make time to go for benedictions. Most Churches hold Benedictions and evening masses on Sunday's... Even if you don't stay for the celebration of the Holy Mass after Benedictions, try and be at Benediction prayers to adore Jesus at the Altar.. it's just 25 to 30 Minutes but the miracles attached is immeasurable... Remain blessed and happy Sunday my dear purgatorians🙏

The story of "Father Dennis" typically refers to Saint Denis of Paris, a 3rd-century Christian martyr and bishop who, according to legend, was beheaded and then carried his own head several miles, preaching a sermon on repentance before collapsing. Sent from Italy to evangelize Gaul (modern-day France), Denis, along with his companions, was martyred for his faith. He is a prominent patron saint of France and Paris, and his story is a famous example of a cephalophore (a saint who carries their own severed head).

Key Aspects of Saint Denis's Story:
Mission and Martyrdom:
Denis, along with his companions Rusticus and Eleutherius, was sent to Gaul to spread Christianity. They faced arrest, torture, and eventually ex*****on by beheading around 258 AD during the Valerian persecution.
The Legendary Walk:
After being decapitated, legend holds that Denis miraculously picked up his own severed head. He then walked several miles, still preaching a sermon on repentance, before he finally collapsed and died at the site where his burial chapel and basilica were later built.
Legacy and Symbolism:
Saint Denis is deeply revered as the patron saint of France and Paris. He is often depicted in Christian art holding his own head, with a vine sometimes growing from his neck, symbolizing his sanctity.
Historical Context and Details:
Origin and Mission:
Born in Italy in the 3rd century, Denis was a missionary sent by Pope Fabian to spread Christianity in the region.
The Site of Martyrdom:
His ex*****on took place on the highest hill in the area, now known as Montmartre.
Religious Significance:
His story, though embellished with legend, highlights the depth of faith and service in the face of adversity. The church and city that grew around his burial site ultimately became the foundation for the city of Saint-Denis, a suburb of Paris.

Mistakes to Avoid at Mass (and What to Do Instead) 😇🙏🏻

The Holy Mass is the highest form of worship in the Catholic Church, where Heaven meets earth. Yet, sometimes we can fall into habits that distract us or prevent us from fully participating in this sacred mystery. Here are some common mistakes—and what to do instead.

1. Arriving Late
The Mistake: Missing the beginning of Mass means missing the Penitential Rite and the Liturgy of the Word’s opening prayers.
What to Do Instead: Aim to arrive early to pray and prepare your heart. This sets the tone for a more reverent experience.

2. Not Participating in the Responses and Singing
The Mistake: Staying silent during prayers and hymns makes you a spectator instead of a participant.
What to Do Instead: Join in the responses and songs. Remember, you’re part of the worship, not just an observer.

3. Distracted Posture
The Mistake: Leaning, slouching, or fiddling with your phone sends the wrong message—both to God and others.
What to Do Instead: Maintain a posture of prayer—standing, sitting, and kneeling with intention and reverence.

4. Skipping Communion Without Prayer
The Mistake: If you’re not receiving Communion and simply sit idle, you miss a moment of grace.
What to Do Instead: Make a Spiritual Communion, asking Jesus to come into your heart spiritually.

5. Leaving Early
The Mistake: Rushing out before the final blessing cuts short the grace you could receive.
What to Do Instead: Stay until the priest has processed out, and thank God for the gift of the Mass.

✨ The Mass is not just a ritual—it’s an encounter with the living God. Give Him your full attention, participation, and love.

Have you received Jesus today?

The Holy Eucharist is not just bread—it is the living Body of Christ, given for the salvation of the world and the nourishment of your soul.

If you haven't yet gone to Mass, there is still time.
Run to the altar. Let Heaven touch your heart.
Receive the Lamb of God with reverence, and let His grace transform you.

🌿 The day is not over. The invitation still stands.
Come to Holy Mass. Come to Jesus.
Eternal rest grand unto them O Lord
