10 Lakotan, ará mi, ẹ jẹ alagbara ninu Oluwa, ati ninu agbara ipá rẹ̀.

11 Ẹ gbe gbogbo ihamọra Ọlọrun wọ̀, ki ẹnyin ki o le kọ oju ija si arekereke Eṣu.

12 Nitoripe kì iṣe ẹ̀jẹ ati ẹran-ara li awa mba jijakadi, ṣugbọn awọn ijoye, awọn ọlọla, awọn alaṣẹ ibi òkunkun aiye yi, ati awọn ẹmí buburu ni oju ọrun.

13 Nitorina ẹ gbe gbogbo ihamọra Ọlọrun wọ̀ ki ẹnyin ki o le duro tiri si ọjọ ibi, nigbati ẹnyin bá si ti ṣe ohun gbogbo tan, ki ẹ si duro.

14 Ẹ duro nitorina lẹhin ti ẹ ti fi àmure otitọ di ẹgbẹ nyin, ti ẹ si ti di ìgbaiya ododo nì mọra;

15 Ti ẹ si ti fi imura ihinrere alafia wọ̀ ẹsẹ nyin ni bàta;

16 Léke gbogbo rẹ̀, ẹ mu apata igbagbọ́, nipa eyiti ẹnyin ó le mã fi paná gbogbo ọfa iná ẹni ibi nì.

17 Ki ẹ si mu aṣibori igbala, ati idà Ẹmí, ti iṣe ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun:

18 Pẹlu gbogbo adura ati ẹbẹ ni ki ẹ mã gbadura nigbagbogbo ninu Ẹmí, ki ẹ si mã ṣọra si i ninu iduroṣinṣin gbogbo, ati ẹ̀bẹ fun gbogbo enia mimọ́;

19 Ati fun mi, ki a le fi ohùn fun mi, ki emi ki o le mã fi igboiya yà ẹnu mi, lati mã fi ohun ijinlẹ ihinrere hàn,

20 Nitori eyiti emi jẹ ikọ̀ ninu ẹ̀wọn: ki emi ki o le mã fi igboiya sọ̀rọ ninu rẹ̀, gẹgẹ bi o ti tọ́ fun mi lati mã sọ.

GBÁRADÌ FÚN OGUN

Ìgbé ayé Kristẹni kì í se “ayé ìgbádùn”, Ẹkọ́ kíkà t’òní tako ọ̀rọ̀ yìí gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀kọ́ Ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run tí kò lọ déédé.

Paulu sí aṣọ lójú ọ̀rọ̀ yìí pẹ̀lú àwọn ọ̀rọ̀ tó lágbára tí ó tako àṣẹ ológun kan nígbà tí ó sọ fún àwọn ará Éfésù, “Lákótán, ará mi, ẹ jẹ́ alágbára nínú Olúwa àti nínú agbára ipá Rẹ́”.

Ohun rere nipa ìtọ́nisọ́na yìí ni pé gbogbo Onígbàgbọ́ nílò láti dojúkọ ogun yìí ní gbogbo wọn pèsè fún nínú Olúwa, nítorí ogun yìí “Nítorí kì í se ẹran ara àti ẹ̀jẹ̀ ni àwa ń bá ja ìjàkadì sùgbọ́n àwọn ìjòyè, àwọn ọlọ́la, àwọn aláṣẹ ibi òkùnkùn ayé yìí, àti àwọn ẹ̀mí búburú ní ojú ọ̀run” (ẹsẹ 12).

O kò le máa gbé ìgbé ayé ẹrú tàbí ìsẹ́gun lọ́wọ́ èsù nítorí ó ńi ohun gbogbo tí ó nílò fún ìgbé ayé ìsẹ́gun Onígbàgbọ́.

EPHESIANS 6:10-20 (NIV)

10:Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

11:Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

12:For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13:Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14:Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15:and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16:In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17:Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18:And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

19:Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

20:for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

READY FOR WAR

Christian life is not a "bed of roses". Today's text debunks such claims as inaccurate teaching of the Word of God.

Paul opens with strong words that denote a military command when he said to the Ephesians, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and the strength of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil" (vs 10-11).

The good thing about this instruction is that all the believer needs to face this battle is all provided for in the Lord, because the battle is not "against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (vs 12).

We are confronted by the forces of evil under Satan's control, and the only armour that can be used against him is the "whole armour of God" which includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, and helmet of salvation with all kinds of prayers.

You cannot live a life of fear or even defeat in the hands of the devil because you have everything you need for a victorious Christian life.

QUESTION:
Are you living a life of victory over Satan and his demons, or living under his control?

PRAYER:
Lord, help me to live every day well equipped with Your whole armour, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A SHIRYE DON YAKI

Rayuwar Krista a duniya ba "abin jin dadi ba ne" inda kowa yake tafiya daidai ba tare da wata damuwa ko matsala ba.

Karatunmu na yau ya karfafa irin wadannan ikirari kamar koyarwar da ba daidai ba ta maganar Allah.

Bulus ya bude nassin da kalmomi masu karfi wadanda ke nuna umarnin soja sa'ad da ya ce wa Masu Bi Afisus: "A karshe, ku karfafa ga Ubangiji da karfin ikonsa: ku yi damara da dukan makamai na Allah, don ku iya dagewa gaba da dukan kissoshin Iblis" (aya 10-11).

Abu mai kyau game da wannan koyarwar shine abinda Mai Bi ya kamata ya fuskanta a wannan yakin duk an tanadar da shine cikin Ubangiji da karfinsa kadai domin yakin ba "da nama da jini ba ne, amma gaba da masu mulki, da masu iko, da masu ikon duhu na yanzu, da rundunonin ruhu na mugunta a cikin sammai" (aya 12).

Muna fuskantar rundunonin aljanu na mugunta da ke karkashin ikon Shaidan, kuma makamin da za a iya amfani da su kawai su ne "dukan makamai na Allah" wadanda sun hada da damara ta gaskiya, sulke na adalci, takalman bisharar salama, garkuwar bangaskiya, da kwalkwali na ceto tare da kowacce irin addu'a.

Ba za ka iya rayuwa ta tsoro ba ko ta shan kashi a hannun Shaidan ba domin kuna da duk abinda ka ke bukata don yin rayuwar Krista mai nasara.

TAMBAYA: Shin kana rayuwa ne ta nasara bisa Shaidan da aljanunsa, ko kuwa kana cikin radadi a karkashin ikon sa?

ADDU'A: Ka roki Allah ya taimake ka ka rayu kowacce rana da dauke da dukan makamaina Allah, cikin sunan Yesu. Amin.

5:Ku bayi, ku yi biyayya ga iyayengijinku na duniya, da hali bangirma tare da matsananciyar kula da zuciya ɗaya, Almasihu kuke yi wa ke nan,

6:ba aikin ganin ido ba, kamar masu son faranta wa mutane rai, sai dai kamar bayin Almasihu masu aikata abin da Allah yake so, da zuciya ɗaya,

7:kuna bauta da kyakkyawar niyya domin Ubangiji kuke yi wa, ba mutane ba.

8:Kun sani, kowane alherin da mutum ya yi, ko shi ɗa ne ko bawa, Ubangiji zai sāka masa shi.

9:Ku iyayengiji, ku ma ku yi musu haka, ku bar tsorata su, ku sani, shi wanda yake Ubangijinsu da ku duka, yana Sama, shi kuwa ba ya zaɓe.

ALAKAR MA'AIKACI DA MA'AIKATAR DA TA DAUKE SHI AIKI

Abinda wannan ya kunsa sashi ne da ke da alaka da gida, ka'idodin da s**a shafi dangantakar ma'aikata da ma'aikaci.

Daya daga cikin al'adar da aka saba yi a duk fadin Afirka, musamman a Najeriya, ita ce shigar da "aikin taimakon gida" ko "tsaro" a cikin hududodinmu.

Wasu za a biya su ta hanyar kudi, ko dai kai tsaye ko ta hanyar wani mutum na tsakiya wanda ya shigo ya zama mai aiwatar da wannan ciniki, ko iyaye, dangi ko wani.

Wasu kuma an yi masu alkawarin horar da su kan wasu fasahohin kasuwanci ko kuma neman ilimi.

Abin takaici shine, wanda aka kawo a wasu lokuta ana daukarsa a matsayin bawa da yanayin rayuwa da ciyarwa ta rashin mutuntaka.

Bulus ya yi magana game da wannan yanayin tare da umarni ga ma'aikaci (kan taimakon gida, ko tsaro) ya "yi biyayya da ubangijinka na duniya da tsoro da rawar jiki da zuciya daya", yayin da aka umarci maigidan ya "yi masu haka nan... kamar yadda zai yi ga Almasihu" ko kuma "... bawan Almasihu... da sanin cewa wanda ke Ubangijinsu da naka yana a sama...

Allah zai sakawa kowa ko kuma ya azabtar da shi gwargwadon yadda ya ke mu'amala ko amsawa juna."

TAMBAYA:
Shin kana aiki ne ko an ba ka aiki, ko kana da mutanen masu hidima a karkashinka? Kana amsawa da adalci da alheri?

EPHESIANS 6:5-9 [NIV]

5: Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

6: Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.

7: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,

8: because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

9: And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

EMPLOYEE-EMPLOYER RELATIONSHIP

Today's focus is on household relationships, principles applicable to the employee-employer relationship. A common practice across Africa, especially in Nigeria, is engaging a "house help" or "security" in our homes in a transactional agreement.

Some are paid in monetary form directly or through a third party Who initiated such a transaction. Others are promised to be trained in a certain trade skills or towards formal education. Sadly, the one brought in is sometimes treated as a slave under inhumane conditions.

Paul addresses this situation with instructions to the employee [house help, or security] to "obey your earthly master with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart," while they master is commanded to "do the same to them.... as you would Christ" or as "...a bondservant of Christ...

Knowing that he who is both their master in heaven ... is no partiality with him" [vs.5,6&9]. God will reward or punish each according to how you treat or respond to one another.

QUESTION:
Are you employed or assigned to serve, or do you have people serving under you? Do you respond with Justice and Grace?

PRAYER:
Dear God, help me to be a true Believer and reflect this in my relationship with those you have brought into my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni àríyànjiyàn tí ó ti wáyé nípa ibi tí ó yẹ kí àwọn ọmọ “gbọ́ràn” sí àwọn òbí wọn lẹ́nu! Bóyá gbólóhùn yìí “nínú Olúwa” yẹ kí ó jẹ́ àsọyé.

Ìtọsọ́nà yìí ni a sọ àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ ní 5:21. Níbi tí àwọn Onígbàgbọ́ ní àyíká wa tí a jọ ní àjọsepọ̀, ni à ń pè fún ìgbé ayé “ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ sí ara ẹni nínú bíbu ọlá fún Kristi”.

Nítorí ìdí èyí, “nínú Olúwa” ti 6:1, sọ àwọn ìtọ́sọ́nà tí a fún àwọn ọmọ ní 5:21 pọ̀ mọ́. Ìtẹríba láti se ìgbọ́ràn sí àwọn òbí gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ èyí tí yóò “bọlá” fún Jésù Kristi”, kì í se ohunkóhun tí yóò jẹ́ ẹ̀sẹ̀ àti ìsọ̀tẹ̀ sí Ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.

Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀, a tún pa á láṣẹ fún àwọn òbí “láti má mú àwọn ọmọ bínú sùgbọ́n kí a mú wọn wà nínú ẹ̀rú àti ìtọ́ni Olúwa” (ẹsẹ 4).

A pe àwọn òbí láti kọ́ àwọn ọmọ láti jẹ́ àpẹẹrẹ rere, oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti àánú, mímọ́ àti funfun, ìfẹ́ àti ìdáríjì, àti bẹ́ẹ̀bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ.

Gbogbo eléyìí gbọdọ̀ fẹsẹ̀ múlẹ̀ nínú ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run. Òbí kàn jẹ́ ẹ̀gbọ́n fún ọmọ Ọlọ́run; gbogbo wa la jẹ́ ọmọ Ọlọ́run.

TOPIC: PRIVILEGED TO SERVE ONE ANOTHER: II

EPHESIANS 6:1-4

1:Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

2:“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—

3:“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

4:Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

PRIVILEGED TO SERVE ONE ANOTHER: II

The joy of every parent is to have children who are respectful and responsible both in the home and in the larger society.

Paul issues a command that children should "obey their parents in the Lord, for this is right" (v1).

A lot of arguments have gone out regarding the extent to which children should "obey" their parents! Perhaps the phrase "in the Lord" should be the defining point.

This instruction is predicated on 5:21, where believers in all household relationships are called to a life of "submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ." So, the "in the Lord" of 6:1 connects the instructions given to children to 5:21.

The submission to obey the parents must be what will "reverence" the Lord Jesus Christ, not just anything that will constitute sin and rebellion to the Word of God.

The command is packed with blessings to the child who obeys and respects his/her parents.

However, the parents are also commanded to "not provoke your children to anger but bring them up in the fear and instruction of the Lord" (v4).

Parents are called to serve their children by being godly models of grace and mercy, purity and holiness, love and forgiveness, etc. All of these must be founded on the Word of God.

A parent is only an older child of God; all of us are children of God.

AFISAWA 6:1-4

1:Ku 'ya'ya, ku yi wa iyayenku biyayya tsakani da Ubangiji, domin wannan shi ne daidai.

2:Wannan shi ne umarnin farko mai alkawari, cewa, “ka girmama mahaifinka da mahaifiyarka,

3:don al'amarinka ya kyautatu, ka kuma yi tsawon rai a duniya.”

4:Ku ubanni, kada ku sa 'ya'yanku su yi fushi, sai dai ku goye su da tarbiyya, da kuma gargaɗi ta hanyar Ubangiji.

DAMAR BAUTAWA JUNA (II)

Abin farin cikin kowanne iyaye shine samun 'ya'ya masu mutuntawa da daukar nauyaya a cikin gida da kuma cikin al'umma mafi girma.

Bulus ya bada umarni cewa yara su "bi iyayensu cikin Ubangiji, gama wannan daidai ne" (aya 1).

An yi ta muhawara da yawa game da matakin da ya kamata yara su "bi" iyayensu! Watakila kalmar nan "cikin Ubangiji" ya kamata ta zama babban abu mai ma'ana.

An tsara wannan koyarwar a kan 5:21, inda aka kira Masu Bi da ke cikin dukan dangantakar iyali zuwa rayuwa ta "biyayya ga juna domin girmamawa ga Almasihu." Don haka, "cikin Ubangiji" a cikin 6:1 ya hada da umarnin da aka ba yara zuwa 5:21.

Yin biyayya ga iyaye dole ne ya zama abinda zai "girmama" Ubangiji Yesu Almasihu, ba kawai wani abu da zai zama zunubi da tawayar ga maganar Allah ba.

Umarni yana cike da albarka ga yaron da yake biyayya da girmama iyayensa.

Duk da haka, an umarci iyaye su kuma "kada ku tsokane 'ya'yanku har su yi fushi, amma ku rene su cikin tsoron Ubangiji da koyarwar Ubangiji" (aya 4).

An kira iyaye su yi wa 'ya'yansu hidima ta zama abin koyi na alheri da jinkai, tsarki da kauna da gafara, da sauransu. Duk wadannan dole ne su kasance bisa ga maganar Allah.

Mahaifi babban da ne na Allah ne kawai; dukan mu 'ya'yan Allah ne.

Yaya dangantakarka da iyayenka ko yaranka ta ke?

ADDU'A:
Yi anfani da amsoshin tambayoyin da ke sama don yin addu'a, cikin sunan Yesu. Amin.
