*Don’t compare yourself with others*

*Thursday, 5th February 2026*

*“Each one should test their own actions ... without comparing themselves to someone else.” Galatians 6:4 NIV*

Paul wrote: “Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else”. Jesus was insistent on this. After the resurrection, He appeared to some of His followers. He gave Peter a specific pastoral assignment that included great sacrifice. Peter responded by pointing at John and asking, “‘Lord, what about him?’ Jesus answered, ‘If I want him to live until I come back, that is not your business. You follow me’” (John 21:21-22 NCV).

In other words, stay focused on your own assignment. A little boy named Adam wanted to be like his friend Bobby. Adam loved the way Bobby walked and talked. Bobby, however, wanted to be like Charlie. Something about Charlie’s stride and accent intrigued him. Charlie, on the other hand, was impressed with Danny. Charlie wanted to look and sound like him. Danny, of all things, had a hero as well: Adam. He wanted to be just like Adam. So, Adam was imitating Bobby, who was imitating Charlie, who was imitating Danny, who was imitating Adam. It turns out that all Adam needed to do was to be himself! You can learn from others, but you can only find joy and fulfillment in being who God created you to be. So stay in your own lane. Run your own race. Nothing good happens when you compare and compete. Furthermore, God will not evaluate and reward you according to the talents of others, but according to how faithful you were with the gifts He gave you. You are not responsible for the nature of your gifts, but for how you use them.

*TOPIC: LOVE(Series 9)*

*Scripture Reading:* 1 Corinthians 11:21-22

*"for when you eat, each one hurries to get his own supper first [not waiting for others or the poor]. So one goes hungry while another gets drunk. What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you show contempt for the church of God and humiliate those [impoverished believers] who have nothing? What will I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? In this I will not praise you!"*(AMP)

Continuation from where we stopped yesterday:

Rudeness is a fruit of pride, and we’ve all seen and experienced people being rude to us. Somebody pulling out in front of us in traffic, school, market or even in the church in cutting us off in the middle of a rudeness is indeed a fruit of pride. Only those who are proud are rude.

From the above scripture, *the Corinthian Christians were models of unbecoming behavior. Acting unseemly was almost their trademark. Nearly everything they did was rude and unloving. Even when they came together to celebrate the Lord’s Supper they were self-centered and offensive. “Each one takes his own supper first; and one is hungry and another is drunk”* (1 Cor. 11:21). During worship services each one tried to outdo the other in speaking in tongues. Everyone talked at once and tried to be the most dramatic and prominent. The church did everything improperly and in disorder, the opposite of what Paul had taught them and now advised them against (14:40).

God calls us to a higher, more noble concern. Not “What are my rights?” but “What is loving?” Where's the love today amidst believes? You see young ministers addresses father's in the faith in mannerless act just because of some gifts of the spirit manifesting in their lives. No honor to fathers again. Go to social media and see all the mess around the church.

*7) LOVE IS NOT SELF - SEEKING:* This kind of love puts the good of others before our own good. It places God first in our lives, above our own ambition. *This love does not insist on getting its own way.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

*Prayer Point:* Lord Jesus, I lay it all at your feet, help me to represent you well in Jesus name. Amen!

*TOPIC: LOVE (Series 8)*

*Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 9:7-8

*"He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning."*(KJV)

Continuation from where we stopped yesterday. Do you know that proudhearted someone can be easily identified with simple common word *"I"*. For example, you see someone who always uses words like, *DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHO I AM? or, I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT AM CAPABLE OF DOING. or, I WILL SHOW YOU THAT GOD CALLED ME!* You don't need to tell us you're called, it simply PRIDE. Sometimes ago, someone really got me upset badly and out of anger, I said *"DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?* As the fellow was staring at me with bad eye, I heard the Holy Spirit whispering into my ear that: *PLEASE WHO ARE YOU, GO AHEAD AND SHOW HIM WHO YOU'RE.* Instantly, I was ashamed of myself and I felt have disappointed the Lord. Be careful of pride, it lead to no where than destruction.

*6) LOVE IS NOT RUDE:* This kind of love care about others, their costumes, likes and dislikes. It respect the feelings and concerns of others even when they are different from our own. It will never act dishonorably or disgrace another person. In this generation, its other way round. *Though, we still have remnant who still love the Lord and practices His will in their domains.*

According to today's scripture, we can see that its very difficult to correct someone who's rude. The more you try to correct, the more you go deeper in trouble with such person. You can't claim to love and still be rude in almost everything. You can't be corrected or giving spiritual advice, you turn it down and proof your selfish interest point, even with biblical scriptures. This is far from Love. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

*Prayer Point:* Lord, help me to reflect your kind of person to the world in Jesus name. Amen!

*TOPIC: LOVE(Series 7)*

*Scripture Reading:* 1 Corinthians 13:5-8

*"It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."*

Continuation from where we stopped yesterday. 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 says; *"However, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not he who commends and praises himself who is approved [by God], but it is the one whom the Lord commends and praises."*(AMP). No man has anything to boast of but you can boast of Him who gives life, Grace and power to make it happened. So, therefore, love doesn't boast and if you truly want to exercise love, you don't go around with ego but submit to the His will even when is not palatable.

*5) LOVE IS NOT PROUD:* This love is not self - confident or insubordinate to God and others. It is not characterized by a sense of importance or arrogance. 1 Timothy 3:6 affirmed; *"and He must not be a new convert, so that he will not [behave stupidly and] become conceited [by appointment to this high office] and fall into the [same] condemnation incurred by the devil [for his arrogance and pride]."*(AMP).

If pride happened to be the source of downfall of Satan in heaven and his co angels, it means that love and pride are two different thing with different purpose and outcome. *Anyone who claims love and at the same time exhibit pride lifestyle, walks in the path of destruction.* Also, remember the scripture that says; *"God resist the proud but gives Grace to the humble"* Meaning, the proud have no place in God. You can't love and at the same time, be proud. The word of God are spirit and they're life. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

*Prayer point:* You spirit of pride, your time is up, I cast you out of my life in Jesus name. Amen!

*“This I know…God is for me.” Psalm 56:9 NKJV*

In his bestselling book, The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell defines the tipping point as “the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point.” It’s the moment when an idea, trend, or social behaviour passes the point of no return and gains acceptance. In the realm of physics, a tipping point is when an object is displaced from a stable state of equilibrium into a new state. In economics, it’s the point at which an emerging technology becomes the industry standard.

In sociology, it’s when a quorum of people adopts a behaviour so that it reaches critical mass and goes viral. Spiritually speaking, the tipping point is when you believe without any reservation that God is for you. It’s the revelation that God doesn’t just love you, He likes you. He loves you enough to die for you, and He likes you enough to spend eternity with you. Yet some of us remain sceptical. We project our self-contempt onto God, assuming that He must be as angry with us as we are with ourselves. Or we fall into the performance-based trap of thinking that our behaviour determines God’s posture toward us—whether that is for or against. Listen: the fact that God is for you was proven at Calvary’s cross. Oswald Chambers wrote: “No power on earth or in hell can conquer the spirit of God in a human spirit.” He said, “It is an inner unconquerableness.” Religion is all about what you can do for God; Christianity is all about what Christ has done for you. But it starts with this all-important kernel of truth: “This I know…God is for me.”
