THEME: Breaking Barriers Series 1.
TOPIC: "DEEPENING YOUR WALK WITH GOD AND OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL OBSTACLES"
TEXT: GENESIS 5:24;2 PETER 1:3-8.
INTRODUCTION.
As Christians,we must desire to deepen our walk with God and experience a vibrant, dynamic relationship with Him. However,our journey is not without challenges, spiritual obstacles can hinder our progress and rob us of the abundant life God offers. In this lesson, we'll explore how to deepen our walk with God and overcome spiritual obstacles.
DEEPENING YOUR WALK WITH GOD.
1. Knowledge of God: Our walk with God begins with a deepening knowledge of Him. Study Scripture,and learn about God's character, promises, and plans.
2. Faith: Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. Trust in His goodness, power, and love, and exercise faith in every area of your life.
3. Goodness: Goodness is a reflection of God's character. Seek to live a life of goodness, kindness, and compassion, and strive to do what is right in God's eyes.
4. Self-Control: Self-Control is essential for a victorious Christian life. Learn to control your thoughts, emotions, and actions, and seek God's help when needed.
5. Perseverance: Perseverance is critical for overcoming challenges and growing in your faith. Press on,even when the journey gets tough, and trust in God's goodness and sovereignty.
6. "Prayer: The key to intimacy" - Text : Luke 18:1-8
Points: Persistent prayer, God's desire to respond, and prayer as a relationship.
7. " Bible Study: Feeding Your Soul"- Text: Psalm 119:105.

OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL OBSTACLES
1. Identify the obstacles: Recognize the spiritual obstacles that hinder your walk with God. These may include sin, doubt,fear,or distractions.
2. Prayer and fasting: Prayer and fasting are powerful tools to or overcoming spiritual obstacles. Seek God's guidance, strength, and breakthroughs through prayer and fasting.
3. Scripture: Scripture is our guide and source of strength for overcoming spiritual obstacles. Meditate on God's word, and apply its truth to your life.
4. Community: Surround yourself with believers who can support, encourage and pray for you. Community is essential for overcoming spiritual obstacles.
5. Dependence on God: Recognize your dependence on God, and seek His help and guidance in every area of your life.
THE FRUITS OF DEEPENING WALK WITH GOD.
As we deepen our walk with God and overcome spiritual obstacles, we'll experience:
1. Fruitfulness: A deepening walk with God leads to Fruitfulness and productivity in our lives.
2. Godliness: We'll grow in godliness,reflecting God's character and nature in our lives.
3. Love: We'll experience and demonstrate God's love, which is the greatest commandment.
4. Effectiveness: A deepening walk with God makes us effective and fruitful to our witness and service.
CONCLUSION
Deepening our walk with God and overcoming spiritual obstacles requires intentionality, effort, and dependence on God. As we prioritize our relationship with God,seek His guidance,and apply spiritual disciplines, we'll experience a vibrant, dynamic walk with Him.
