In this home at 214 Bonnie Brae Street, a group of people met to pray for revival. Exactly 120 years ago today, after ten days of prayer and fasting, on April 9, 1906, several received the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Word spread quickly, and crowds began to gather in the street to hear William Seymour preaching from the front porch. When crowds became too large for the Bonnie Brae Street home, they found a new location on Azusa Street, where our founder, Florence Crawford, would soon join them.

As we mark the 120th anniversary of our work, we are encouraged to preserve the ancient landmarks that God has established. The Bonnie Brae Street home reminds us that God still hears and answers the prayers of hungry hearts!
