Title: Serve justice

Text: Dan, you are the tribe that will bring justice to Israel. - Genesis 49:16 CEV

Jacob prophesied that Dan would be one of Israel's tribes to judge his people. Judgment here refers to leadership, wisdom, and discernment. Paul, speaking to the Corinthian church, asked them, Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? God positions His people as righteous judges to bring justice, order, and righteousness to the world. The only way to do this is to be rooted in the Word because that is where justice from authentic leadership flows. Like Dan, you are called to represent and exercise God’s authority in whatever sphere of life you find yourself. You must learn to take charge and establish God's will here on earth. Remember, you shall judge the world!

TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, anoint me with wisdom to judge rightly as Your representative as I establish Your will here on earth.

Title: Authority in His name

Text: And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son; therefore called she his name Dan. - Genesis 30:6 KJV

Names are prophetic, and they speak to the destinies of individuals, as well as nations. When Rachel received her son, she felt that God had vindicated her; He had judged her, and so she called him Dan. The name Dan carries the seed of judgment and authority. From the very beginning, God ordained this tribe to bring a prophetic weight of authority and rulership, guiding the children of Israel in their time. Even concerning Jesus, His name was spoken before He was seen, and He was a fulfillment of the meaning of the name. The Bible also says that at the name of Jesus every knee bows and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is LORD; talk about authority! That same name of authority has been given to us to use freely. So also, you are named a son of God, and with that identity, you carry authority in God's plan. You must walk boldly in the identity and authority He has given you.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me embrace my divine identity and walk in Your authority.

Title: A prayer for Nigeria

Text: I will overturn, overturn, overturn it, and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. - Ezekiel 21:27 KJV

You may not like Nigeria, but if you were born a Nigerian, live in Nigeria, have roots in Nigeria, do business in Nigeria, or have some connection to Nigeria, you owe this country your prayers. You might dislike Nigeria's leaders or not belong to the ruling party, yet you owe Nigeria your prayers. Above all, you ought to pray for Nigeria, for God said you should pray for Nigeria. The armchair critics and commentators are busy commenting and speculating. Yet those who know their God will be busy praying. We pray that God will overturn the reign of unrighteousness, evil, shame, and the cloud of reproach over this country. Let God overturn every evil counsel or plan for Nigeria. As the church of the living God, we decree the peace of God over Nigeria. The light of God will shine over and in Nigeria. Let God overturn every counsel that is not His will for Nigeria.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Let every counsel, purpose, and plan that is not of God concerning Nigeria be overturned in Jesus' name. Amen.

Title: Thus far it's been God

Text: Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer (which means the “stone of help”) for he said, “Up to this point the LORD has helped us. - 1 Samuel 7:12 NLT

Samuel named the stone Ebenezer, meaning “stone of my help. They still had battles to fight, but there were battles that God had helped them conquer. So rather than complain, they chose to praise God for helping them thus far. They may not be where they thought they should be, but they will still acknowledge God as the one who has helped them thus far. What about you? Has God helped you? With everything that has happened, you are still here. You are still here because God keeps His promises, not because of your works. You may not have gone where you wanted, but God has been faithful to bring you thus far. Acknowledge that God has brought you thus far and give God thanks.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Up to this point, the LORD has helped me, and I am thankful to Him.

Title: A winning attitude

Text: Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. - Micah 7:8 KJV

To win, you need a winning attitude. Winners win because of their attitude. What is attitude? Your reaction to tests and challenges of life. People react differently to the situations and circumstances they face in life. Those who win have a winning attitude, and those who do not win have a loser’s attitude. How you react to what happened to you is more important than what happened to you. Your reaction to what happened will go a long way in determining whether you come out victorious or not. God never promised that there would be no obstacles or challenges. What He promised is that in all these things, you are more than a conqueror. These things (trials, tests, troubles) will come, but in Christ and with Him, you will conquer all of them as they come.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Trials and challenges may come, but I am not afraid and have faith to walk in victory in all situations.

Title: Let it hear your voice

Text: Hear ye now what the LORD saith: Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice. - Micah 6:1 KJV

God said, "Let the mountains (giant obstacles and problems) and the hills (small obstacles and difficulties) hear the voice of Israel. In Genesis 1, God had an issue on his hands. God's earth was thrown into darkness. What did He do? Cry, blame, excuse, and moan his luck? No. He spoke light, and there was light. When Goliath heard David’s voice, he fell. Christ told us that whosoever speaks to the mountain, be removed; he or she shall have whatever he or she says. Until the obstacles hear your command, they will remain obstacles in your way. Are you commanding the challenges or crying about them? Are you crying over them, blaming everyone for them, or blaming it on bad luck or no luck? Start commanding the opposition and keep speaking until the obstacles are removed from your path.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I speak to the mountain and hill of opposition before me to bow in Jesus' name. Amen.

Title: Every day with Jesus

Text: Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. - John 15:4 KJV

We love to quote Psalm 91:1 that says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High…”, but how do we dwell in that secret place when we do not spend time with God? What is our daily devotion to Christ like? Daily devotion in this context is not limited to our morning routine of prayer and study but encompasses our moments throughout the day. Are we committed to fellowshipping with the Father at every opportunity? Remember, unless we abide in Christ, who is the true vine, we cannot bear fruit. The more you spend time with God, the more He reveals Himself to you. In Mark 1:35-37, we see that even Jesus took time to fellowship with the Father. This should be our only standard for fellowship.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord Jesus, today I commit to spending more time with you so that You will find expression in me. Amen.

Title: Your case is different

Text: A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. - Psalm 91:7-8 KJV

Everything that happens to everyone does not have to happen to you, especially if it is evil. Psalm 91 tells us that because we have made the LORD our refuge, even if multitudes succumb to wickedness, we will not. You have made Him your refuge, and so even though a thousand fall on one side and ten thousand on the right side, it shall not even come near. God's promises belong to you. You are a victor, not a victim. Others may get snared or trapped by the wicked one, but you will not be ensnared by evil. Your case is different. Everyone can be a victim of calamity, disaster, and misfortune, but you and all that concerns you will escape. Your case is different. Believe it. Confess it. And you will experience it.
