Title: Remember God's blessings

Text: Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth. - Psalm 105:5 KJV

The psalmist is thankful because he remembers the marvelous works and wonders that God has done. The Bible says we are not ignorant of the enemy's devices, but sometimes we are. The enemy reminds you of only those things that God has not done so that you can be sad, complain, and be unthankful. You say life is not fair, but God has still been faithful. You have disappointments, but God is not one of the disappointments. What are you remembering? The unanswered prayer points or the prayer points that have been turned into praise reports. The old saying that advises us to count our blessings and name them one by one remains valid today. Remember the works God has done in your life and be thankful.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I will not keep quiet but will count all God’s blessings in my life and give Him thanks.

Title: Gratitude

Text: Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke them. - Luke 9:16 NIV

Notice a trend with Jesus during his ministry on earth. He gave thanks to God over almost everything. Jesus had a multitude to feed, but what the disciples had was five fish and loaves. What did Jesus do? He looked up to heaven and gave thanks. And what little he had was multiplied, and he fed the multitude. Gratitude is a powerful force for growth. Sometimes we underestimate the power of gratitude. You should not. Be grateful for the presence of God in your life. Be grateful for what God has done for you even though everything you want done has not been done. Be grateful for what you have even though you do not have everything you want. Be grateful for where you are now even if you have not gotten to where you want yet. Decide that you will give thanks to God in everything and for all He has done in your life and will yet do so.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, I give you thanks for all you have done and all you will yet do in my life.

Title: Contentment

Text: Now godliness with contentment is great gain. - 1 Timothy 6:6 NKJV

Lack of contentment has become increasingly common in today’s world, including within the church. It has led to comparison, envy, and worst of all, depression among believers. Contentment does not mean being satisfied with average or mediocrity. Contentment means being satisfied with your present lot from God. Contentment means you are walking with God, in His plan for your life, and refusing to compare where you are and what you have done with what you see or believe that others have done. Stop comparing yourself with others. It leads to envy, jealousy, and perhaps, for some, compromising on godly values in a bid to stay in tune or ahead of those that are not even competing with you. Compete not, but be content with your present lot from God and have faith that He will do more for you and move you ahead in due season.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I am content with God and His lot for my life in every season and trust Him to move me forward. Amen.

Title: Zero tolerance for sin

Text: Job was a man who lived in Uz. He was honest inside and out, a man of his word, who was totally devoted to God and hated evil with a passion. - Job 1:1 MSG

Job loved God and hated evil with a passion. He had what you might call a zero tolerance for sin. Daniel had zero tolerance for sin. The three Hebrew boys had zero tolerance for sin. The world may glorify sin, but sin does not glorify God and should be shunned. You cannot be friends with God and love sin. You cannot embrace sin and say you are holy. You cannot say you love God yet love sin. We tend to classify some sins as minor and others as major. That is ungodly and not biblical. There are things we excuse and hide under the guise that God understands. No, God does not understand. It is either right or wrong. Lowering God’s standard to please your flesh is deception, and the only person deceived is the one who lowers the standard. If you love God, have zero tolerance for sin.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I love God passionately, and I hate evil with a passion and will grant evil no place in my life.

Title: Strategic partnership

Text: Two are better than one, because together they can work more effectively. - Ecclesiastes 4:9 GNT

The word of God is the manual for living. And whatever the word of God says is truth. The word of God says two are better than one. Strategic partnerships have proven to be highly beneficial in achieving goals. It fosters growth and resilience and provides perspective. The benefits of partnership have also been demonstrated in the Bible. Consider the lives of Moses and Aaron as they led the Israelites on their mission. Consider also the collaboration between Jeremiah and Baruch in documenting the prophecies to God’s children. Friend, seek strategic partnerships first with the Holy Spirit and then with the people He brings into your life for the fulfillment of God’s purpose for your life. Don’t do life alone.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Holy Spirit, as I partner with you for life, please give me enabling relationships that will aid my fulfillment of purpose.

Title: Invest in the Kingdom

Text: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. - Matthew 6:33 NIV

Your service to God and His kingdom is a trigger to engage in growth and expansion. The Scripture teaches us that when we prioritize God’s kingdom over everything, then everything will be added. When you find yourself at a crossroads between satisfying yourself and pushing the kingdom, it is wise to honor the kingdom, for the riches of the world all belong to God. Today, consider whether you have prioritized God. Have I invested in the Kingdom? If you find yourself yearning to know the answers to these concerns, I believe it is time for you to wake up and make a decision to ensure that the matters on God's heart are also appropriately addressed.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me to see past my personal desires and seek after the kingdom.

Title: Purpose in trials

Text: And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee: for whither thou goest, I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people. - Ruth 1:16 NKJV

How do you react to life’s trials? Do you respond with perseverance and hope, or with anxiety and grumbling? Every trial in life has a purpose. Think of Ruth: what seemed like the end of the road for her had greater glory through her perseverance. Remember Hannah, whose ‘barrenness’ led to the birth of a prophet in Israel. Think of Paul, whose imprisonment resulted in winning many souls to Christ and spreading the gospel to Gentile nations. Think of Job, whose trial resulted in greater glory. Think ultimately of Jesus, whose painful journey redeemed mankind. These stories are examples of how God brings joy and purpose through hardship. Friend, let these testimonies encourage you today, and do not give the devil a reason to feel big.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to be steadfast in my faith despite life’s trials.

Title: Expand your thinking

Text: And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. - Judges 6:15 NKJV

Our main text was Gideon’s response to the Angel of God’s call for him to save Israel from the Midianites. Gideon’s response was a display of doubt in God’s ability to use him, as well as low self-esteem. He thought too low of himself. You cannot think lowly of yourself and expect to be enlarged. In the context of enlargement, enlargement requires stretching your capacity to believe and receive God's blessings. This involves expanding your understanding of God's power and His plans for you. It also requires shifting your mindset from thinking less of yourself to thinking of who God sees you as.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I affirm that my mind is renewed and in alignment with God’s desire for my life.

Title: Be accountable

Text: If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. - Luke 16:10 NLT

An amusing joke that circulated on social media at the time was people randomly asking God to test their faithfulness with the kind of wealth that a couple of the world’s wealthiest men possess. Maybe some of us said ‘Amen’ under our breath when reading it. Interestingly, God will not suddenly test our faithfulness with the big things. It usually begins with the little things we consider trivial and insignificant. Consider the story of Joseph in Potiphar’s house. Scripture explains the concept better. The one who is faithful with the small tasks and phases of life will be enlarged. Remember the parable of the talents? Now think within: what is that responsibility you consider basic but has been entrusted to you? Be diligent in delivery and watch out for enlargement in due season.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me to be faithful in the little things while believing you for more.

Title: Strengthen your commitment

Text: And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee: for whither thou goest, I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God. - Ruth 1:16 NKJV

You cannot do certain things until you are enlarged. Your capacity on different levels determines responsibility. Dear believer, God seeks people He can entrust with responsibilities; however, your capacity to handle the responsibility is the determining factor. One way to build your capacity is by committing to living purposefully. Your commitment helps you mature, which is essential in the Christian journey. Know this: your commitment is a reflection of your devotion to God, and it can be displayed through obedience, service, and unwavering faith. Remember the story of Daniel and the three Hebrew boys. Let that spur you into strengthening your commitment.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, I commit to living purposefully for your glory. Amen.
