Marriage Insights from the Panel Session. Anchored by the Mshelizas.
As we continued in our Family Month, yesterday’s Couples Sunday was a deeply insightful and refreshing moment for everyone present. To commemorate the day, we had a beautiful panel session where different couples shared sincere lessons, experiences, and wisdom gathered from various stages of marriage.
The session featured couples from different phases of marital journeying 0-10 years, 11-20 years, 21-30 years, and 30 years and above, giving us the opportunity to learn from both growing marriages and seasoned unions built over decades.
From the Omolajas, we learnt the importance of continually learning about your partner, financial transparency, intentionality, and avoiding unhealthy comparisons with social media marriages.
The Kayodes reminded us about the power of communication, support, unity in parenting, and the importance of maintaining friendship and attraction in marriage.
The Adebayos emphasized sacrifice, commitment, patience, forgiveness, and the need to intentionally build love beyond emotions.
The Ekezies, with the wisdom that comes from many years together, shared deeply on companionship, peace, prayerfulness, humility, forgiveness, and the importance of building lasting values and integrity in children.
Indeed, the session was filled with practical wisdom, heartfelt experiences, and timeless truths that reminded us that successful marriages are built intentionally, prayerfully, patiently, and lovingly.
