PREPARING THE MALE CHILD FOR MARRIAGE.
Evangelist Mike Udam.
INTRODUCTION & OVERVIEW
It has been discovered that in Africa and a larger part of the world, greater focus and attention is given to the girl child in terms of culture, morals, societal values and preparation for womanhood as against the male child. A reasonable percentage of men who are married today, were not prepared for it and given the option, may likely opt out.
DESCRIPTION OF A WOMAN:
Generally, 98% of women are considered to be the same. Women are:
• Highly emotional beings.
• Mostly wired to speak more often before they think.
• Easily persuaded or manipulated.
• Hate their trust to be broken as they may go any length to retaliate.
If you prepare well as a man, you can marry any woman, successfully. 95% of a successful marriage is dependent on the man and when a man commits to studying the woman nature before marriage, he can succeed as a husband.
AREAS THAT A MAN SHOULD PREPARE FOR BEFORE MARRIAGE:
Develop a critical thinking process because he’s the thinker and problem solver of the home. Women admire and respect men who take the lead in bringing solutions to the home.
Be prepared in managing a woman’s emotions and develop shock absorbers. Women need men that are emotionally available for them to lean on. A man must prepare to be emotionally invested in his marriage, so as to be able to handle the series of dynamic emotions that comes with the woman.
Prepare his communication skills. Women speak fast and sometimes provocatively and this requires a man’s understanding to respond in love and not to react in anger. A man must learn how to communicate emotionally, informatively and even spiritually.
Prepare to take care of the woman. Beyond financial preparedness, a man must also learn how to express kind gestures that endears the woman’s heart. Verbal care is an important factor - giving compliments and sending words of affirmations. Loving the woman is an instruction from God which is not dependent on submissiveness first.
Leadership is another way of taking care of the woman. Directing her spiritually and always being available to take the lead. Women appreciate men that lead the home as it reassures them of protection and love.
In summary, it is important for a man to map out a plan of what he wants his home to be ahead of time and do his best to abide by them, as it lays a foundation for the woman on the kind of family to build.
