Today at Chapel of Victory, we were reminded from Psalm 124 that victory begins with having God on our side.

But what does it take to have God on our side?

Total surrender to God — Matthew 16:13–20

A personal relationship with Him

A life full of service to God

Acting on His Word

When we surrender, walk with Him, serve Him, and obey His Word, we position ourselves under His mighty covering.

If the Lord is on our side, victory is certain! 🙏🏽

There is faith, and then there is GREAT FAITH. 🙏🏽

Great faith is persistent. Great faith is humble. Great faith refuses to give up, even when the answer seems delayed.

We see this in the story of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:21–28 and in the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector in Luke 18:9–14.

When great faith meets God's mercy, barriers are crushed.

> “O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.”
> — Matthew 15:28

Today, we were reminded to cultivate a faith that trusts, persists, humbles itself, and continues to seek the Father.

May our faith continue to please the Father, and may we never stop trusting in His mercy. ❤️

Why was Elijah scared? Why did he flee from Jezebel?

Why were the disciples so afraid during the storm, even though Jesus was right there in the boat?

And why did Jesus pray in the Garden of Gethsemane that the cup might pass from Him?

We asked. We reflected. We searched the Word.

Because life happens. Fear happens. If a whole Elijah can run for his life, who are we?

But here is the assurance: life situations happen, and yes, so do Divine Solutions! 🙏🏽

Today, we were reminded that our moments of fear do not cancel God's presence, and our difficult seasons do not mean that God has abandoned us.

A heartfelt thank you to one of our fathers, Reverend Samuel Adeolu Adeyemo, for joining us this Sunday and sharing God's Word with us.

May we continue to trust God, even when the storm is raging. God is with us! ✨
