[7/20, 5:08 AM] Minister Peter Spring Sch: *MONDAY, JULY 20*
*TOPIC: OVERCOMING THE VOICE OF CONDEMNATION*
*SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:1 (KJV) - There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus"*
When trouble comes, it isn't always because we have committed a sin or done something wrong. Sometimes, challenges come simply because you are walking in the will of God. You must refuse to let the devil use your trials to make you feel guilty or condemned.
The adversary walks about like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour through discouragement. If you are living for God, expect some level of opposition, but know that it is not a sign of God's displeasure. Psalm 34:19 says, 'Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.'
Do not waste your energy wondering what you did wrong when the enemy attacks. Instead, use that energy to seek the face of God and stand on His promises. Condemnation will drain your strength, but the joy of the Lord will be your fortress and your power.
If there is sin, confess it and receive forgiveness, but if you are walking uprightly, stand your ground. The blood of Jesus has already cleared your record and given you the right to victory. You are a child of God, and your righteousness is of Him, not of your own works.
Shake off the spirit of heaviness and put on the garment of praise today. You are not being punished; you are being prepared for a greater testimony of God's saving grace. Your victory is guaranteed because you belong to the One who has already overcome the world.
*DAILY NUGGET: Condemnation is a weight that hinders your flight; drop it and fly by the Spirit.*
*PRAYER:* Lord, I reject every voice of condemnation and I stand firm in the righteousness I have in Christ.
Today, the Lord will give you your daily bread and deliver you from all evil. In everything you do, you will encounter favour, in Jesus’ name.
*BIBLE READING: Numbers 33:24-35 / John 14:11-20*
