πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Jesus fed over a thousand men at a time. At another time,
He fed more than four thousand people. He healed many in Israel. He preached to the multitudes. But when it came to the Passover, He celebrated it only with His disciples. He did not even consider going home to His biological family to celebrate what was dictated by the Law
of Moses as family obligation.

This feast of Passover, popularly known as the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion, is not for everyone. It is for those who are God's covenant people. It is for those whose hearts have been circumcised by the Holy Spirit, with the fo****in of sin cut off, and the new man grafted in their hearts. It is for those who appreciate the enormity of Christ's sacrifice for them. They know the Lord and the Lord knows them. They are a family, just as Jesus said (Mat. 12:48-50). They will not eat the Holy Communion carelessly or unworthily (1 Cor. 11:28-9). Anyone who desires to partake in the Passover must be part of God's covenant plan, so it is that anyone who partakes in communion must first be born again and acknowledge it as
a holy ordinance.

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Today, we are encouraged to be in God's presence continuously. This will prevent the devil from attacking us, and it will also help us to receive direction from God. However, believers should bear in mind the implications of not dwelling in God's presence. Not dwelling in God's presence can lead to:
1. *Spiritual Death and Separation from God:* The ultimate consequence of not dwelling in God's presence is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. (Romans 6:23).
2. *Loss of Guidance and Wisdom:* Without God's presence, individuals lack divine guidance and wisdom, leading to poor decisions and a misguided life. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
3. *Moral Degradation and Sinful Behavior:* Moral Degradation. Absence from God's presence often results in moral degradation and a lifestyle dominated by sinful behaviour. (Galatians 5: 19-21).
4. *Absence of Peace and Joy:* Dwelling outside of God's presence can lead to an absence of inner peace and true joy. (Isaiah 48:22).
5. *Vulnerability to Evil Forces:* Susceptibility to Evil. Without the protection of God's presence, individuals are more susceptible to the influence of evil forces. (Ephesians 6:12).
6. *Eternal Punishment:* Ultimately, the Bible warns of eternal damnation for those who remain separated from God. (Matthew 25:41).

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
There is a tendency to look for God in the revivals of old, the miracles we heard about from men of God. And there's a tendency to expect Him only in the future when things get better. The truth is that God is moving right now. The move of God is not stuck in history, and it is not reserved for some perfect tomorrow. It is happening in the present tense, and the question is not whether He is moving, the question is, can we perceive it? The danger is not that God won't move, but that we'll miss it because we're distracted consumed with busyness, fear, offence, or waiting for something that has already started.

God is healing hearts today. He is stirring up boldness in the quiet ones. He is awakening worship, stirring revival, reconciling families, and calling prodigal sons back to Himself. His movement rarely announces itself with fireworks. It often shows up in quiet obedience, in whispered prayers, in small acts of faith that ripple through eternity. The move of God is not just coming, it's happening now.

What should our response be? Wake up our awareness. Ask God to open our eyes to what He is doing around us. Lay down our expectations. Join the movement and not wait for a better day or a louder sign. Sometimes his move looks different from what we pictured. Be part of this move.

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Some people think of the Old Testament (especially the five Books of the Law, called the Torah) as archaic and inapplicable to Christians today. That is not true. It is only the rituals/ceremonies that are outdated since they were mere types fulfilled in the New Testament through Jesus Christ. Much of the Books in the Old Testament actually lay the foundation of righteousness as declared in the New Testament. God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament.

For instance, verses 9-10 of our text tells us to be intentionally merciful to the poor and make provisions for them out of our resources. Do not steal, lie or cheat one another (11-13). Do not oppress those who are weak; do not abuse the disabled (13-14). Do not pervert justice or show partiality in judgement (15), do not spread false rumour and do not endanger people's lives (15-16). Do not hate your brother in your heart and do not seek revenge (17-18).

These are covered in the New Testament and are always binding. These accord with the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. This is the light that we shine before men that will make them glorify our Father in heaven (Matt. 5: 16). The Jews were supposed to observe these and thus teach the nations the righteousness of God, but they abandoned them and clung to ceremonial rules. This brought God's anger on them. When we ignore the fruit of the Spirit and
the rules of righteous living, God will be angry with us despite our Christian ceremonies.

πŸ–ŠοΈ *COMMENTARY*
Obedience to the Christian faith is a foundational principle that manifests in various ways through scriptural narratives and teachings. Obedience to God's biblical commands is central to our faith as believers. Obedience to God's words entails adhering to His commandments, teachings, and guidance as stated in the Bible. It is a demonstration of faith, reverence, and submission God's authority.

Therefore, obedience to God is an integral part of a faithful Christian's life. Through obedience, believers align themselves with God's will, resulting in spiritual growth, blessings, and a closer relationship with God. God commanded Abraham to leave his homeland and go to a land that He would show him (Genesis 12:1-4). Later, God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham's willingness to obey, even in this difficult command, demonstrated his profound faith and obedience to God (Genesis 22: 1-19).

Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of obedience. He obeyed the Father's will perfectly, even unto death. His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane epitomizes his submission: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42). His entire ministry was characterized by obedience to the Father, fulfilling the prophecies and the law (Philippians 2:8);

🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS*
Through the instrumentality of obedience, God's plans are actualized.

Heavenly Father, give me the grace to be obedient so that Your purpose in my life will not be thwarted in the Name of Jesus Christ Amen!
